Reached the restaurant to only find out that it was closed for renovation. It would be highly appreciated if you could not take bookings for a place which is closed. Waste of journey and time.
Caramel Restaurant have not stated that they are closed for refurbishments. I made the journey thinking it was open as I was able to book prior to the 7th and I also looked online which stated it was open. Very inconveniencing and disappointing as I was supposed to have my birthday meal there
This restaurant is closed, open table shouldn’t be allowing bookings to be made. I booked this restaurant to go all the way there to then find that is not open. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
The restaurant was close and they did not inform me and had to call them to find out it was close not happy at all
THEY WERE CLOSED AND DIDNT EVEN SAY!! Travelled out of my way to go and find out
It’s shut been a fire and the restaurant is gutted. Turned up and to go somewhere else avoid if you want to eat anything.
Really enjoyed lunch here. The service is fantastic and the waiting staff are lovely and welcoming. Food was delicious. And loved the restaurant...decor and environment were perfect! Thanks. Look forward to coming again next time we are in London :)
Our table was booked for 8.30 and at 10.05 a member of staff told us we had to leave because the next booking had arrived. Despite not having finished our dinner and drinks. Really disappointing and a rubbish end to what was a nice dinner!
Food was amazing and their service was exceptional.
The staff were soft spoken and catering to needs.
Inside is beautiful and is lovely for a couples dinner.
Xmas meal. Nice but super pricy. Special special occasions only. 2 adults & 3 kids £350
Beautiful venue food taste amazing mouth watering meals to choose from staff are so professional couldn’t fault the experience.
Food Presentation was good however the burgers were sloppy and greasy. The bottom bun was soaked in oil and it was not edible - we tried eating the burger without the bottom burger but we didn’t enjoy it (the top bun was slightly burnt). I definitely wouldn’t recommend the burgers.
The TNT shrimp was AMAZING!
Some food in the menu are not available
Food was mediocre, however, the decor was lovely. Waiters took a long time to notice us every time we needed assistance. Our entire meal was taken over by the customer sitting next to us Vaping smoke into our food, mouths and eyes. When telling the waiter, he said he would have the manager come over and speak to us. Which never happened, the usual process would be that the manager would either approach and speak to us either before or after a matter was dealt with, manager couldn’t have cared less and nor could most of the staff. If this is how a MANAGER is to be, I’m not surprised by the level of courtesy and hospitality we received by the other staff members. Shame. Will definitely not be returning and definitely will not be recommending.
Great vibe. Lots of yummy food but quite heavy. One letdown was the mini burgers...don’t serve burgers if you can’t cook them less than medium well...that’s not a burger!
Amazing flavoursome food! Went for hubbies birthday dinner and ended up going back 3 weeks after for my birthday dinner! Amazing place, phenomal food!
Amazing food and amazing service! Coming back tomorrow ;)
Caramel has gone right to the top of my favourite restaurant list!
The food is delicious, the staff are so super helpful and friendly and the atmosphere is fun and fabulous but still relaxed - not an easy balance to strike! Beautiful interior and clean bathrooms - super important! We were already planning what we were going to order on our next visit before we'd even finished eating! Keep up the great work!
Very nice food and staff! TNT shrimp highly recommended
The most amazing shrimp and sliders ive ever had and the drinks are great too, would defo recommend and go back👍🏽
First time, really enjoyed it. Will be back!
Good food and Good service, very nice decor. Just overpriced.
Very lovely restaurant, beautiful interior and delicious food. We were seen to very promptly and the staff was very helpful and nice. The only thing I will say though, is that we got to the restaurant 20-15 mins to 4PM, and wanted to get the set lunch offer, but the waitress told us we were too late. We ended up getting the offer but the waitress told us it’s only until 3 and that we will have to come before then in the future, despite checking this with the restaurant beforehand. However, this was settled, the waitress apologised multiple times- and we were pleased with the value of the meal. Definitely will be coming back to taste some more cocktails!
Excellent service, good menu choice and beautiful decor. Loved lobster tacos and TNT shrimps. Would recommend it to eaters who like new and interesting dishes.
Place was a lot smaller and more cramped than expected food was actually very good minus the pasta which was a little tooo al dente. Service wasn’t too great but it was very busy
Great food great service great time
I loved Caramel's food. We had the buffalo chicken lollipops on a bed of salad with carrot and celery stick and dipping sauce and the lobster and mango tacos with an avocado sauce. The food was excellent, very, very tasty - but, the serving portions given for the prices they charge is way off. The food was so tiny, it looked like doll food and our meal was literally over after 15 minutes. I actually had to order a side of garlic and truffle fries because my four tiny tacos, which cost 15 pounds, was not a full meal. If your a foodie, with deep pockets, you will love this restaurant.
Food was amazing, really enjoyed my 25th birthday them would go again in a heartbeat :)
Really lovely evening all round, great food and hospitality would defo go back!
We enjoyed, very tasty food. Only thing is we where looking forward to flower decor outside the restaurant which wasn’t there. But apart from that we got seated quickly and had great service apart from the waiter coming over to the table numerously. Kinda had the idea we where being rushed.
Poor food, very greasy, overpriced. The prawn starter was awful.
Staff were attentive and setting in nice. Like having a McDonalds in a nice restaurant
This restaurant has absolutely no atmosphere -- very dark and Darth Vader looking. Absolutely no warmth whatsoever. The food was good we could only get a brunch menu at lunch time when we were looking forward to a nice long lunch with a bottle of wine. We love Le Brasserie (prior restaurant) and were expecting a new restaurant that was updated a more atmospheric. Boo
This was a bday booking for 2 ppl. My impression on arrival was initially the reception lady was not the most friendly she seemed very disengaged. However the venue and ambience was lovely. Unfortunately the table provide to me and company was not sturdy which resulted in a glass of bubbles hitting the floor. Although the staff promptly cleaned the floor area. We were left to tidy and clean the table. Not to mention we were not offered a refill and paid for the drink. On the other hand the food tasted great but found some of the dishes provided such as the 'beef sliders' and 'dynamite prawns' cold, considering all food came out together. We found the service by waiters bordering harassment as there were constant instruptions which weren’t necessary. Could of easily been handled with less visits to the table. Even when seen to be taking pics or in a full on conversation we were rudely interrupted. Based on the above and the type of cusine/menu provided...I would say this venue is not value for money. I would only go back for a quick drink and a side of dynamite prawns (hot in temperature)
Lastly on a positive note the interior is splendid, it had a nice intimate feel with trendy designs and architecture. In particular the hexagon shaped dining booths and bar area, good for the bloggers and selfie queens!
Beautiful restaurant, great food. Nice for evening bites. Quite a selection for food and beverages.
Food was very salty and quite expensive for what it was. When we finished our meal no one cleared our table, we then asked for the bill and still no one cleared our table so I was disappointed that I couldn’t stay longer as all the food was still on our table. We just wanted to leave after this. Food was okay but nothing amazing. Staff quite judgmental and looked at us as we waited for someone to clear our table. However the waiter was very nice but later wasn’t as attentive
Very impressed! My new favourite restaurant in London-a must see!!
Amazing food. TNT shrimp and Mac & cheese were incredible. I also recommend the chocolate fondant.
I requested on open table could the desert be brought out with A candle as I was my
Boyfriends birthday! My request wasn’t fulfilled which was a big let down we where also waiting on our cocktails for about 25mins and the place was quiet wasn’t impressed with service wouldn’t return in a hurry or recommend this restaurant
I visited Caramel for my birthday. I explained this on my reservation. On arrival, I was dismissively told that I could only have my table for two hours. I didn’t think much of this because it is standard practice in London and I have never been in a situation whereby I had been kicked off of the table. Until now. Due to the service being so slow, we were half way through our main, when we were hastily hauled off of our table. There was no apology, no attempt to try and find us another table (we were only a party of 3) and certainly no mention of my birthday. This was despite the fact that the table next to us were also celebrating a birthday, which was acknowledged. It’s the worst service that I have ever received! The food is also overpriced and substandard!
I will definitely be coming back here. They made my boyfriends birthday a great experience
