Love caravan, have been to the Kings cross one lots and backside a couple of time. Service was terrible though! The waiter acted like he hated us. Not sure what we did to upset him, maybe it’s because we had a baby with us but she was really well behaved?!
Half way through the staff member service us changed and she was much more friendly!
Enjoyed dinner for 4 with work friends and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Lovely ambiance, laid back vibe, great food options, food delicious - overall - a joy, I'll definitely be back! Recommend :)
Service not amazing but a very busy time so all ok
Lovely restaurant with welcoming staff. Delicious drinks with a range of tasty food options. Polite, non-intrusive and speedy service. Fantastic brunch all round! Thank you.
This is my first experience at caravan when not everything was fantastic.
For several years it has been consistently good but now seems to have slipped in overall quality.
Out waitress was very brusque, sometimes to the point of rudeness. The food was good but not superb as I have often experienced. The cornbread was cold upon serving....for instance.
Another great evening at Caravan.
Whilst the food was wholesome, interesting and tasty, the prices are over high. The wine was an astronomical price.
food expensive for the portion size. Was a bit too noisy for the meeting i had too. Hardly any staff around. Was going to go the following day but cancelled it.
Lovely food, relaxed atmosphere and attentive staff. Recommended!
Great atmosphere, delicious food and excellent service. Thank you
Used to love Caravan, unusual food and great service and decor. But I thought the food was less good than of old, fries tasted like cheap frozen chips. Staff were nice but service very slow and intermittent. No explaining unusual combinations or advice about what would work well together. Even affogato tasted stale - as though it had sat in the warm for a while before serving. We were a group of 6 and music far too loud to comfortably chat.
Absolutely delicious and exciting flavours in a cosy spacious environment. The service isn't outstanding, nothing wrong with it, but the staff didn't go the extra mile.
good--- ambience very nice and buzzy arrived late but accommodated.
Bad-- raw pizza and £36 for a.bottle of cheap prosecco
Really lovely place - the busiest in the area on a cold mid week night.
Really enjoyable brunch. Delicious coffee. Great staff and nice venue. Would highly recommend.
Great place, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. We visited with children (age 8 and 10) and although there were no other families here, we felt very welcome
and really enjoyed our meals.
Nice location, very busy at lunch time. Service was good-natured but slow.
I regularly eat at Caravan. The menu draws on many culinary styles. I personally love the small plates. The Crisp Chilli Salt Tofu is never disappointing. The decor is modern and stylish but also relaxed. The service is always friendly and efficient.
We've been to Caravan a few times now and always had a very enjoyable experience whilst the value is excellent. This time we had the sourdough pizza with nduja which had a lovely texture and big (but not too big) hit of heat from the nduja; the bowl of chicken larb with rice and pickles was very tasty, even if it didn't really remind us of the ones we actually had in Laos; and the meatballs were excellent, although the aubergine that accompanied them was even better. We also had the hot smoked salmon and rice bowl, cod dumplings, grilled mackerel and a bunch of starters. Bill came to just over £20 a head including drinks and service.
Went for a Valantine's breakfast and had a very enjoyable experience at Caravan. The staff who looked after us were friendly, attentive and made some great recommendations from the menu (which they seemed to know backwards).
I had the superb fried jalapeño cornbread; perfect, and the chorizo is a fantastic addition. My guest tried the chorizo and potato hash and, while it was good, it could've done with less potatoes and more flavour. Unfortunately when we received the food, the hash was cold, but the staff were on it straight away and another was ready in about five minutes. They took this off the bill, which was very kind of them.
The location itself is nice and bright and spacious and perfect for a casual weekday breakfast - and quiet enough to have a conversation.
I came to Caravan (Bankside) for my anniversary and the evening was perfect. The food was delicious and the service was great. They made the evening very special and I will definitely return to Caravan soon
Great restaurant, lovely interior and good food! I’ve been here several times now and continue to enjoy it.
In general everything was ok. We order 5 different dishes but they only brought 4 dishes. But in my bill I was charged for the chilli tofu. This was pointed by my guest when we left the restaurant. I am planning to come back and complaint about this.
Loved the food! Unusual menu but yum! We were a group of 6 and everyone was super impressed with the dishes!
Absolutely recommend if you want to try something different.
I also really liked the low light atmosphere. Gave it a chill whilst sophisticated.
Great service, nice atmosphere, good cocktails, delicious starters, mediocre vegan mains.
Food amazing, serve good at start but just ok later on but in being picky
Really pleased with the Waiter's recommendation for food. We had sharing plates and everything was packed with flavour !
This menu is both healthy and delicious. I’ve already recommended Caravan to friends.
Lovely spot to work from, to have meetings and to go for a date. Well rounded place definitely recommend
Really great food but really poor service, and awful house wine
We were a group of 7 and we received fabulous service and the food was delicious.
It was a shame that two things we wanted had run out but that was the only comment and it didnt affect us as the rest of the food was great.
Very pleasantly surprised. First time at Caravan and really enjoyed the experience. Tapas style small plates were delicious with three sharing.
Great food and service! Every dish we had were outstanding
The salmon rice bowl was pure food joy and the service was very patient with us while we waited for one of our party to arrive.
Great for a business breakfast - fast and attentive service and great value for money. Lots of choice on the menu and the staff very friendly.
Great food, tasty veg, strong coffee, helpful service. Not my first time, it won't be my last. Loved it!
We had a beautiful tasty meal here which was very healthy and we loved the ambience with the candlelight. All in all a great experience
Great food, but noise level too loud, spent the meal shouting to each other over the table. Asked if music could be turned down, or if we could be moved both No. food was delicious.
A pre Christmas lunch in a busy restaurant. Service was good and attentive. Food was great especially the anchovy pizza! Lots of small plates which are great to share.
Having been to two of Caravan's restaurants, I can say that the food is delicious and well prepared. This despite a surprisingly long menu. Service was also very efficient. And helpful, as one of our party has a dairy intolerance. But very low lighting and noise do detract from the experience somewhat. We noticed other tables also using their phones to see the menu more clearly. Nevertheless, we still had a very good meal and a rousing political discussion. Do visit.
