Amazingly delicious food and great service. Quiet place with our friends.
We had a fabulous meal on Thursday night. Everything was perfect for our date night. We will be back soon!!
Excellent service... Ambience good... Outdoor seating... I appreciate that they follow CDC guidelines as far as distancing and sanitizing... Dinner was good... Thanks
The restaurant has reopened with a safe outdoor space, and the food is as delicious as ever.
Food is always good. They did a good job with outdoor seating during this pandemic.
Servers were very attentive and friendly
Welcome to Covid-19 dining where outside is the new normal. Host greeted us promptly and sat us at a table. Due to the time of day it was shaded and comfortable.
We shared a cheese board that was tasty.
I had the chicken pesto sandwich, great bun and lots of flavor.
Service was friendly and attentive.
I chose this restaurant because it was one of the few that would take a reservation for 6 people for outdoor dining upon the COVID-19 reopening. We were very pleased with the food and the service. We also felt very confident they were observing all health precautions. We look forward to returning.
My server Kai is the best server I continue to have there. He is a great waiter that is very intuitive to the needs of the restaurants guests.
Today was our (party of 3) first time dining out in MONTHS! we chose Caribou
and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. 2 of us enjoyed lamb burgers
with spinach and goat cheese ..one had fries the other had salad. And the 3rd
person enjoyed the mussels...Delicious! Thank you, Caribou....consistently outstanding!
Burger just wasn’t that good. Disappointed to say the least
This was our first dining out since COVID. The restaurant took many precautions within the establishment to help customers feel safe. My concern is that we were placed up by the curbside and the general public walked within 2 feet of us without masks on a heavy walked section of the city. I would have hoped that they could have blocked 6 feet between the flow of foot traffic and customer dining It was scary to take the mask off to eat with all the non masked people passing by. I couldn't recommend this to anyone during COVID until restaurant works through safety.
Flawless execution of an outdoor brunch with all the post-COVID safety protocols in effect. It was delicious, service was flawless, and everyone was enjoying the great outdoor seating options.
Awesome amazing outstanding phenomenal pleasant will be back
Staff was wearing appropriate PPE and was courteous and attentive. Tables were spaced appropriately and lots of fresh air. Such a treat to eat out for the first time in months.
Great variety and food and drinks with a friendly staff.
Service nice and quick with requests
Escargots were delicious
Umbrella table outside was clean and well taken care of
Our server I believe his name was Kai maybe? He was absolutely amazing and was so attentive. With all that is going on in the world you could see that care and sanitation was just as high a priority as customer satisfaction.
First day out to eat since March! Only drawbacks were the sidewalk traffic and beer not cold enough for my husband’s liking. Awesome service and delicious food.
Food was Ssssoooooooo freakin good!!!
Servers, Rod and Cory, were really wonderful!
Nice gentlemen, knowledgeable about the menu, and very personable, and wonderful at Customer Service!
Good food, outdoor seating was adequate, happy hour deals were okay
Good place for before/after the theatre. Waitstaff was attentive. Brunch was perfect
The waiter was Excellent and his recommendations were spot on. Great birthday presentation with the dessert.
I went w/a friend today to CARIBOU CAFE we really looked forward to a French flair lunch
Both ordered the cheesesteaks. Loaded w/salt..fries even more salt I wiped a few before eating them
Hate to send food back..I told the waitress that salt was on overload they must have used a salt shaker tongue was twitching...& my friend & I both agreed, a strange taste,
She ate 1/2 & so did I. Could not eat anymore it tasted strange.
My friend said it was terrible, & she'll just pay & forget about it....
Manager came over & took away 1/2 my sandwich & took 20% off my bill.
Fries left over.
Told him I didn't eat the other 1/2 how did he get 20%?
We went around & round & then told me to tip the server. I always do. NEVER stuck a waiter or waitress..usually tip more than 20% which I did.
Very disappointed....wanted to like this place.
One more thing, I asked for a sauce to put on the cheesesteak. Waitress looked puzzled. I said maybe a red sauce...like marinara..she told owner & he made a point to tell me.
I still left her more than 20% & for that she didn't overwork herself
We recently had brunch on a Sunday morning at this Cafe. The place was ridiculously empty when we arrived; always a bad sign considering that we couldn't get reservations at Fork or Tallulah's Garden.
Cute place with nice ambiance. Not very accommodating for changes to the menu, which usually implies that much of the menu is not made fresh. Our waiter disappeared after taking the order; a runner delivered the food and no one checked on us after that at all. I could have used a refill on my beverage, and my husband would have liked ketchup, but it was not to be... The quiche was among the worst I have ever had, and that includes the pre-made versions I occasionally get at Acme. My family liked their omelets better, but rated them as only average. Not worth a return trip.
Always a great experience, you feel like you are in Paris. Food is great and service as well
Excellent location in the theater district -- professional and attentive staff -- delicious and quality food..
Great French bistro in center city. Been coming for 14 years and never had a bad meal. Highlights: onion soup, quiche, steak frites, any salmon dish, and ALL of the deserts.
We looked forward to visiting this oft passed restaurant and we were not disappointed! Perfect for lunch or dinner when attending a show at The Walnut Street Theater. Recommended: the broiled mussel appetizer (I will get two next time), crepes and the lunch special (for $19). Best was yet to come with the profiteroles and one of the best capuchinos I have ever had - and yes, I ordered a second. Can't wait to go back. We really felt we were in Europe. Lovely way to spend an afternoon.
So nice and laid back, great food and great service. We loved it. We are big fans of French food and this place does not disappoint. It's bright orange and cheery but the booths are cozy so you don't feel like you're in a cafeteria. I had the special - salmon Wellington (in puff pastry), and it was out of this world. The creme brulee was a tiny bit burnt but everything else - good crunchy fresh salad, course and tasty country pate, tender steak frites, it all delivered.
Excellent food -- attentive and professional staff -- right in the heart of the theater district.
We went for dinner on 2/15 and they only had the Valentines Day special menu available even though Valentines Day had passed. I was very unhappy ordering from a pre fix menu of food bought for Valentines Day. The food was not what I had planned on as I thought I would be ordering from the regular menu so the meal was disappointing.
Thoroughly recommend this place for brunch! Great menu, good quality food and excellent service. The restaurant was super cosy, everything was perfect!
Perfect brunch for a chilly winter day. Always warms the soul.
I've loved this neighborhood place since I discovered it more than 10 years ago.
Easy, quiet, classic bistro fare. Wonderful quiches, soups and original dishes (e.g. Lemon shrimp and avocado appetizer. Small tables by the windows, quiet booths towards the back and more upstairs tables. And a full bar. Just lovely.
Love Caribou Cafe - never disappoints!
I recommend this restaurant for a great evening and meal.
Great service. Great food. Great cocktail. Great dessert. What more can I say. I had a peach cosmo. My entree was Chilean salmon over Israeli couscous and of course the bread pudding for dessert. My husband had pork tenderloin with black lentils. Both entrees were delicious.
Terrific cocktails, house pate wine and profiteroles! Steak frites was OK. Waiter was knowledgeable and fun. We will be back but I won't get the steak frites (although I had it in the past and it was better).
My salad was way overdressed, and my soup had way too much cheese (I never thought I'd say that!) but I sampled the other dishes at the table and there were some winners so I'll overlook the soggy salad and cheesy soup and return here for the cocktails, and order the steak frites or the salmon next time!
Have loved it for many years, live far away now, just in town for a few days, have been there twice 🤗.
Love the look, vibe, service, BREAD, food - everything!
We have always enjoyed our dining at the cafe. The service and the food is always great and the place just has a good vibe to it.
