From the people that brought you Trattoria Carina, Pub & Kitchen and The Diving Horse comes their newest restaurant, Carina Sorella.

Carina Sorella is a casual neighborhood Italian restaurant with a focus on delicious and approachable food in a bright, vibrant atmosphere. Our menu is built around classic dishes - Spaghetti and Meatballs, Cacio e Pepe, Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmesan - but we surround that core of dishes with seasonal, chef driven specialties.

The Bryn Mawr location will include the addition of a pizza oven and a full bar, building on the smaller footprint of the existing location in Philadelphia, Trattoria Carina.

This was a great find, especially after going to BMFI. The atmosphere is light and fun. It made me realize how few Main Line restaurants give their design such fine attention. From the greeting upon arrival to the thank you at the end, the service was top notch, attentive and friendly. They even remembered to bring a candle with dessert from my OpenTable note about my wife's birthday (which far too many places ignore or forget). The Caeser salad was huge (I took home more than half), fresh with one of the better dressings I've had and croutons that were bite-size instead of huge cubes like many places serve now. The pasta was freshly made and perfectly al dente with crispy guanciale. My wife had the short rib and said it was very good. We both had leftovers to save room for dessert, and we split a tiramisu which was big enough for that and delicious. The coffee flavor wasn't overwhelming, which was my preference. We will definitely return, with or without a movie.

Everything was delicious except for the pesto. The first time they ruined it with too much lemon juice and the second it had no flavor. Also for $28, the value isn’t there.

My friend and I were in for brunch on a relatively quiet end of summer Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent, the staff and service were also excellent. Carina Sorella is always reliable for service and food (I’m just not the one who usually makes the reservation). Will definitely be back soon.

Four for dinner and we all had something different. All of us very pleased with our choices. We had a number of sides and salads. Every morsel was superb. Sorella was hopping; a great vibe. It was obvious everyone in restaurant was having a great time .

Cocktails, wine and food are very good here. Our Server was very good as well. Go early for Dinner because it can get quite noisy as more people arrive. We get here about once every 4-6 weeks. The portions are huge!

Everything great. The only thing is since this was our first time at the restaurant, it would’ve been nice for the waitress to describe to the table the size of the servings. We likely would’ve ordered less and would’ve been more satisfied. The portions were really large, although that’s not consistent across all platters. If we had a better understanding we would’ve ordered differently.
