Carluccio's - Bristol, Cribbs Causeway
We’re open for breakfast, lunch and dinner Monday to Sunday, offering a broad range of classic Italian food. Furthermore, we cater for vegetarians and those who are following a gluten free diet.
clean environment , efficient and attentive service. prompt arrival of drinks and food
Unfortunately, there was a tech problem, so no hot food!
However, staff smiley and helpful
We had a good meal that was served promptly. I was concerned to learn that tips added to the bill are not passed on to the staff. I think this is deplorable.
As usual the food was wonderful, the service a little slow due, I understand, to shortage of staff.
I had indicated we were there to celebrate a birthday and before we left some chocolates were given to the birthday girl.
Service was slow, too slow, had to keep reminding waiter for drinks, when coffee arrived it was just warm.
had a very pleasant lunch, and would return . service was good.
It's been years since I last visited carluccios infact I had assumed all the restaurants has closed but to my surprise saw that cribs had still remained open.
The food wasn't as good as it used to be back in the day!! Menu wasn't the same and my carbonara was OK.
The first thing the front of house waiter said to me was ‘I’ve just cancelled your table’. We were only a few minutes later and I explained that this was due to traffic. The rest of the experience was fine but I wouldn’t go back.
We had to wait at the entrance for sometime despite 4 members of staff at the back of the restaurant
The wait for food was very long! The potatoes that came with the steak were so greasy so we complained but the lady said oh you just don’t like them and we reiterated how oily they were! Not worth the money and wouldn’t go back
I used to have lunch here often, however on this occasion for 1 small main and a small side portion of garlic bread came to £16 excluding drinks (I had tap water). There werent enough staff so we had to sit and wait at every point, when we asked for the bill we waited for over 15 minutes and then when the bill came we waited even longer for them to come with the machine for me to pay. To top it all off my food was cold so had to send it back. I had the pasta with Italian sausage which I regretted, it didnt look very appetising as it looked liked it was thrown into the dish. The other 2 people in my party had a measly side salad consisting of just 3 lettuce leaves, some parmesan shavings and that was it! The quality has gone down while the cost has vastly increased! No vouchers available either unless you work for the NHS with I think is discrimination. After visiting here many times over the years I will probably go elsewhere. I dont mind the cost increase if the food is good but the food was awful quality, small and stone cold., service was appalling although I dont blame the poor waitresses as it wasnt their fault as there weren't enough staff. A great shame
Food was excellent as was the service. We were told there would be a delay and given free bread, but service was timely. Gave 4 overall instead of 5 as there were 3 desserts not available. Otherwise excellent
Very nice to be back at carluccios. Food very good, lovely service
Service was substandard and standards are slipping sadly
We weren’t told that they weren’t serving food until 1230. Our table was at 1200. Our waitress was helpful and informative though. However, having not eaten in Carluccio’s for a while, it s not what it used to be. Very expensive not for nice but not outstanding Italian food. The highlight as ever was the focaccia. No little packs anymore for the kids and it was just a bit disappointing.
The goats cheese salad did not have any goats cheese had some mushy wheat, the dish was disgusting and will not eat again at Carlucci's. Did not have to pay for the salad.
First time eating at Carluccio's and the food was delicious. Recommend the Penne Giardiniera. Will definitely eat there again!
Convenient location, good food choice, excellent service, comfortable atmosphere
Seafood linguine waterery and presented poorly.4 muscles, four prawns. No taste.
Tomatoe salad one slice tom with a little red onion splash of olive oil £4.90..rip off.
Wife had cold food Cod and Muscle.
Our server was very attentive and extremely friendly. Really enjoyed the experience and food. Will be returning again, as we usually go here when we visit for shopping.
Absolutely superb did we all chose from one of the set menus. Incredible value for money and amazing quality.
Certainly didn’t feel as if we were eating in a chain establishment. All staff very helpful , wish there was one in Cardiff x
Food was bland and looked like it had been left on the side and then warmed up in the microwave
Plenty of variety.
Will visit again
Great service. Great food. Value for money
Took a long time to get food out to us. I can understand we had gluten free for one person but 45 minutes is a little excessive.
Staff where very apologetic.
35th wedding anniversary lunch
Not quite the Carluccio's that it was.
The food is good and generous, but it and the place itself are missing the spark that it once had.
It was booked on OpenTable as a birthday occasion (not acknowledged), so being out of apple juice for the birthday girl was not a good start. It also has overpriced areas on its menu. £6.25 for tomatoes and oil on a single piece of toasted bread anyone?
Super good and friendly service. Lacking a bit of atmosphere but it is in a shopping centre after all!
Good food ,Great service pity they are not continuing the Gourmet Society discount.
It was great shame the lasagna was so dry
Apart from that i could not fault it
We love Carluccio's : for us it's one of the few chains which delivers a good authentic Italian food experience.
We loved the arancini starter.
We tried the Vegan spaghetti for the first time and it was nice.
But it was our server who made the experience above average, so much so that we gave a bigger than average tip and passed our compliments to the manager.
We bought a couple of items from the deli which are very competitively priced!
For example the wild fennel pasta sauce at Carluccio's is £4.50 and there is only one other specialist Italian brand who does similar and theirs is £6.40!
We love this chain and are keen to return.
excellent set priced lunch, good choice of all three courses. service was both quick and efficient could definitly recommened.
Excellent set lunch menu and great service, would highly recommend
The staff were friendly and helpful. It was a great place to eat a meal and relax.
We were completely forgotten & got our mains before our starters arrived. Starters was a selection of bread high tasted stale. Food was over priced & basic.
Asked for a dairy free spag Bol - waited over an hour and then the server came up to us to say the chef had it cheese on the dish and wanted to restart it.
I don’t understand how it took so long as other table around us had drinks, starters and desserts by the time I was told the chef messed up ours.
The server took my intolerance of dairy very serious but then the chef messed it up?
No one would take ownership and when I said I don’t want the food anymore (because of the wait) I was subject to a slight attitude which I didn’t appreciate
I would recommend. young staff, difficult times. they did very well. Mums 81st birthday and 4 of us with competing needs. well done - we will be back
The food was nice but unfortunately the service not so much. When ordering starters and drinks, before we got a chance to order mains the waitress walked off. Secondly, our mains arrived before our starters and when our starters arrived they were not the correct order.
As ever a good brand, excellent service and decent ambience. With a small exception which was very promptly and professionally resolved by the Manager, the food was really delicious & we enjoyed our meal.
Good food and service overall, a few minor quality issues such as burnt toast with the bruschetta and cold broccoli. On this particular day, also quite a few menu items unavailable due to delivery issues. Would go back.
