Carluccio's - Leeds Trinity
Poor service, unorganised, had booked im advsmce but they didn't seem to care and we waited for a table. Given a dirty glass, service slow. Manager recommended a dish with tree nuts despite us clarifying several times a nut allergy. Food was really tasteless, steak the worst I've had, carbonara may as well been from a packet. This is marginally better than wetherspoons. Really has gone downhill in service, food and general clientele standards reflect.
Me and my partner went for a meal for my partners birthday, I was disappointed by the quality of the food my steak was not cooked properly, after nicely asking for the same piece to be re cooked it came back still under cooked (I’d asked for medium-well), I was shocked when we was expected to pay full for this. My partner had got spaghetti carbonara this was not well seasoned and was not presented the same as another tables. However, the staffs service could not be faulted they were very friendly and attentive,
Surprised by the quality of the food, excellent gluten free menu for our daughter. The antipasti starters were excellent and the limoncello tart was great.
Service was exceptional. Polite and personable. It’s a shame the food was terrible. Been a fan of Carluccio’s for years….but I guess we are all just getting back to the way it was after lockdown.
Though the food & service was good, we were only offered expensive white wines as others were not available. We had to settle for a rose, which was still more expensive than we would normally pay, and it did spoil our dining experience.
Minute steak was really well done, prawns and calamari was rubbery and over cooked, very disappointed ☹️
The restaurant wasn't very busy but felt service was a little slow. When booking on line the form asked if the booking was for a special occasion, which it was for my daughters birthday, but there was no mention of this by the staff, so why ask.
Lovely meal, service was good there were only 2 young waitresses working in the evening but they did a brilliant job, I’m guessing due to Covid limited staff. Our waitress was polite and attentive she was a student so very young but a lovely girl. Well done to you all. Would definitely go there again
Staff were lovely so this is no reflection on them but the food was terrible. The lasagna was clearly reheated and tasted rubbery. Was dry and simply shoved in a dish. Quite frankly I’ve had better lasagna at a 2-4-1 pub!
Very, very disappointed. Will not be visiting again despite it being highly recommended to visit when coming to the city.
Food would have been spot on if it was hot. Taken back twice and still no better. Not to mention rude, shocking customer service from barmaid and manageress.
Disappointed initially with the cocktails, which were not made correctly and not as worth the money! They were completely tasteless.
The starters were delicious but mains were a let down. Pasta wasnt cooked properly and was very rubbery, completely inedible.
Overall, not impressed with the experience. Will not be returning.
Overall my table of 4 felt slightly disappointed with our visit to Carluccios at Trinity.
The food we were served was tasty and very nice, but that was after choosing two or three different options as the restaurant had run out of a lot of items, e.g-no carbonara, no mussles (which meant a lot of seafood dishes were not the same)
Drinks felt very expensive for what we ordered as we buy the same gin and tonic for up to £2.50 less in other establishments regulary.
Service was not particularly strong, as although staff were friendly, the drinks order was incorrect and nobody brought our water or bill when asked first time and both came at second time of asking.
Food was good, but as a group we were not particularly impressed at the experience offered to us by Carluccios which came highly recommended.
No menu for older kids at all with Limited menu of what they would like. Arrived at the table burnt (black) garlic bread which should of ended up in the bin. Not sure if the waitress was new or not but had to keep asking for help all the time.
Having already had a meal earlier in the week, I was very disappointed both by the very brusque a friendly waitress but more so by the wait for both my starter and main course arriving. The main did not appear until about 25 minutes after the starter and when I asked the waitress to chase it up she was clearly out out at the request. I have been to this restaurant many times and so was not prepared for this.
I shall put it down to a blip or shortage of staff. I am sure my next visit will restore my faith in the place.
It was a really nice evening however when ordering prosecco we received the glass with no fruit, it should always be served with a strawberry or blueberry but other than that we had a nice evening
Good food and good service in city centre location
Great food and attentive staff will definitely be returning
My breakfast was delicious, the service was outstanding. My father is hard of hearing with a broken hearing aid at the moment and out lovely hostess turned the music down for us so he could hear without an issue. We'll definately be going back for more!
Pleasant lunch time experience , with friends.
good food ,good wine, very enjoyable.
I can’t believe there was no pizza, it’s an Italian!! Needs sorting out
Friendly staff and food was cooked to perfection.
Lovely lunch . Service was exceptional . Will definitely be returning soon
The food was delicious though a few dishes were unavailable. Service was quick and we were brought regular top ups.
Lovely food and great service. Just a bit disappointing that there is no pizza oven so can’t order pizza!
Everything was fab from the service, food, setting and staff.
Lovely brunch. The restaurant was light and airy and we purposely went early in the hope it would be quiet. The staff were friendly and attentive. We both had a traditional breakfast which was delicious. The orange juice was particularly good. Definitely recommend paying a visit. The shopping centre itself however had VERY loud annoying music! But luckily we were seated inside the restaurant and away from it
Food was lovely and the staff were very friendly and efficient. We had spinach and ricotta ravioli and beef ragu linguine. I can highly recommend both dishes. The Prosecco is excellent quality.
The pinot grigio wines on the menu not available so we had to trade up and spend an extra £5 on wine that wasn't very nice. Antipasti starter lovely, Minute steak overdone not worth £2 extra, asked for mustard, didn't get it.
Puddings delightful. Great value set menu.
We visit Carluccios Leeds often, good food, great location, good atmosphere and the staff are very welcoming.
My husband and I had lunch on Saturday for our wedding anniversary and as we paid our bill the Manager came over and gave us a lovely surprise, a bag of Italian goodies from their in house store. Thank you so much that was a lovely gesture and very much appreciated. Adele & Keith
The food we ate tasted fantastic.
However, we were disappointed to learn the kitchen has no chicken. I feel we should have been told this as we sat down not after we had chosen and was looking forward to it.
Really good food at very good prices. The service was fast and extremely friendly as well as being very accommodating. Would highly reccommend to anybody! I will be returning.
Great - thoroughly enjoyed, both very happy with food, service and just in general. Highly recommended
Antisocial shouting staff did not deal with drunk customers who only came to have a pint so that they could use the toilet absolutely crazy ruined my night and they were not social distanced plus they fell on my table and kept speaking in my face I might have Corona after this
This was our first time here and we loved it! The food was incredible, service was amazing everyone was lovely and welcoming. We can’t wait to come bank again! Thank for making our first date out after lockdown so lovely ☺️
Lovely staff, quick service 100% would come back for food and cocktails
Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was mediocre, didn’t have the things in stock that we wanted to order but overall a good place to eat
Very busy but still turned good food with smiling service
We absolutely love Carluccio's and were so excited to be back, however we were disappointed with a few things.
The gentleman at the door directed us to our table which was in a poor position, outside, right next to the walkway of shoppers - despite us booking months ago. I at least expected a table inside the restaurant as we had booked so far in advance.
The gentleman stood in the way of my mum's seat as he laid the table, not allowing her to sit down for a number of minutes. He then tried to take away the NHS track and trace code before we had had the chance to scan it, at which my mum politely requested that she be given a moment to sit down and scan the code before he took it away. He gave her a bit of dirty look - for lack of a better term - and walked off without a word. We didn't see him for the remainder of the evening. We are usually so pleased with the service that we were quite taken aback by his rudeness.
The waitress that took over and served us all night was excellent, very welcoming and friendly, and much more like the service we are used to at Carluccio's. The food was heavenly and all four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals - my sincerest compliments to the chef.
Next time I book I will specify that we would like to be seated inside the restaurant. I also expect that next time, my elderly mother will be treated with respect. I understand it was the first week of opening again and it must be stressful for the staff, however there was no need for his behaviour.
Thanks to the Carluccio's Team.
Lovely food and service. Great that you are back open.
