We often visit on Sunday afternoons & take advantage of the discounts offered by the Zebrano app & also happy hour!
Made a reservation. Got there and was told we needed to be out in 2 hours due to another reservation later that night, which was no issue for us. Entree’s for 5 ppl were served across a 12 minute duration. Cocktails got mixed up. And...finally...we were then told our table was needed a full hour sooner than expected, and we were asked to pay and depart. The manager DID DISCOUNT our meal by 20%, so the restaurant has got THAT going for it.
Also...cool Halloween atmosphere.
Too noise, bad food .the service wasn’t good either
Despite our booking with Open Table, the restaurant could not find us. After initial falter we were given a table for two. A few minutes later we were asked if we could move because “someone else has booked”. The seats at the alternate table looked uncomfortable so we politely declined. Despite being adjacent to the main staff terminal, service was poor. We eventually got the attention of a waitress and placed our order. Menu is a bit tricky, as there are “small plates” followed by “starters” followed by “main plates”. We opted for two small plates as starters, and also ordered mains. When the food arrived, small plates and main plates were together. We pointed out the “small plates” had been orders as our starters and the waitress started to argue, but a colleague said “no problem” and the mains were taken away. When the small plates were done, we were certain the “mains” that were presented were our original plates, and although we had not big issue with that (hate waste) that should have been stated, in my opinion (clues were very dry burger bun, relatively cold chicken inside, satay paste dried up on bun...large accumulation of meat juice on my wife’s plate). As we were ordering a follow on drink, the adjacent table (large hen party) were complaining about their food too, so there is clearly an issue here. That said, the food was reasonable and value (for central London) very good. Just as well service was included as we would not have tipped...
The place had too many tables in, we could barely get to our table never mind get out to go to the toilet. We moved to the outdoors but ended up surrounded by a gawking crowd watching the football over our heads. The service was slow in part due to the football which was also distracting the staff. My friend also ended up with half the foil top of a lid of sauce in her dinner which we complained about and got a free drink for but at first the waiter went on a bit of an offensive. The toilets were downstairs and pretty dirty with broken seats.
Really good cocktails as always, we ordered 3 plates of food - mini fish and chips, fried buttermilk chicken and squid and all of it was delicious and served quickly!
Had to wait for 25min despite having made a booking. Service was great but then our waiter changed in the middle and the second one had the charisma of an oak tree. Food is simply fair. Don't plan on coming back.
Lamb cooked raw and when sent back it was just cooked a bit longer rather than fresh cut of meat. Was told this is how the chef cooks and serves it. If raw meat us what they serve, I shall definitely not be returning
It was a tasty and lively experience! However the service was subpar. We made a reservation on Open Table, and when we arrived, the hostess said we didn’t have a table. We were later rushed through our meal to make way for other reservations.
Great place for pre theatre drinks and food. Food reasonably price too and very helpful staff
A really good informal eaterie. It's not a culinary experience but doesn't set out to be - the food was fine, but what really set this out was the service. Amazingly friendly staff and they are a great asset to this restaurant. I didn't catch their names but I'll certainly be back.
Definitely worth a visit. They didn’t have my booking registered but made a space available for the two of us. We had the app they recommend downloading so had a cocktail for a £1 then an extended happy hour and 20% off the total bill. We had 5 cocktails each and food it came to £20 each. Friendly staff, very vibrant with loud music but we could still hear each other. We were upstairs not downstairs in the bar which was louder. Really enjoyed it and would definately go again. Food was great. Really tasty. We have a sharing platter of 5 small dishes.
Very club like ambiance.
Ttried the small plates menu and selected 6 for two of us. Decent size small plates were tasty and fresh. Only really needed 5 between us and the menu does a 5 plate choice for £24. Service was friendly without being intrusive. Good location for a light lunch.
We did have to ask for one of our drinks to be redone as it was not right and asked for water multiple times. In their defense it was busy and loud.
Lovely venue and staff! Food is good, drinks are great and the price is right! We're definitely coming back!
Food average but cheap. Happy hour drinks (inc bottles of wine which you can order during happy hour and then have them taken up to your table for dinner later) were great value.! DJ played some good tunes until about 11pm but the music went seriously down hill after that. Best thing about this venue is the amazingly friendly service - unusual in a venue of this type (restaurant/bar/club). Special mention to Olga who couldn't have been more friendly & helpful. 👍
This is really a club with a small restaurant upstairs which is probably a bar.
The food was ok but my partner had to send his ribs back as they were too dry. I ended up having to eat my food before and wait for him after. The right thing to do would have been to offer to give us a discount but nothing.
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
Venue is normally very good but due to it being Halloween weekend the service was slow and very poor. Food was horrible and tasted like it had come straight from a fridge. A two course meal took 1 and a half hours to arrive. Staff were very unattentive!
Was very upset with my night here. I would only recommend this place for drinks and the nightclub, its not somewhere u can have a quiet meal.
Used the OpenTable app to book prior but they didn't have our booking. Appreciate the complementary cocktails and accommodating us a slightly later table. Thank you. Food was ok but nothing special...and a bit cold but service was attentive enough.
Excellent service. Very welcoming. Would definitely return!
Good atmosphere. Food size is quite big. A great choice!
Intimate restaurant with attentive staff. Handy for the London Palladium as its just around the corner. The food was fresh and tasty and I really enjoyed the cocktail. Would really recommend. I had a £20 Open Table gift card but the staff were unsure what to do with it. I expect some training is required.
Great food and service! Would definitely recommend.
Fabulous food as always, great atmosphere, music, drinks and superb service with a smile and a laugh!
Very good quality restaurant with great service and nice food
Zebrano has always been a good place to hang out with friends. The biggest party puller is the happy hour with great cocktails at half price, from a generous 6pm to 8pm. However, the music killed out nerves. Music is great but not when we have to shout above it!
I was truly disappointed in this experience. The service was slow, food was awful and it was freezing cold in the restaurant.
I would not recommend this to anyone. Avoid eating here!
The free flowing preseco deal is amazing. The food was good and you do get served free flowing preseco. Great ambience
Our waitress was lovely. She went above and beyond to make sure we were catered for.
The downstairs DJ was good and the crowd had a good vibe.
Security guards were also friendly.
The food was really good value. I'd recommend trying to get in during happy hour as the cocktails are very good and just normal prices for London but at half price an excellent deal especially if you are out early or as a start to a night out. Really friendly and welcoming staff and venue, if a little unexpected in terms of the format! It was quite chaotic when we went and we would have had the set menu that looks very good but we were pushed for time in the end and had 3 small plates and a portion of nachos which made for probably the cheapest meal of good quality that I've ever had in that part of London. (burgers sliders were excellent but nachos had weird processed guacamole and would have been really good with a freshly prepared one, they were still nice, just not great). Overall it was really good, and fun, suitable for the young at heart as well as the beautiful people!
Very good food and great ambiance. I will definitely recommend for a night out.
Casual venue, choice of burgers and small plates. Friendly service. Good if you like Latin and pop music. Good cocktails.
Good place for a happy hour drink or for a meet-up in the middle of the crazy-busy-central-london. We liked our dinner and the wine.
The staff were very friendly on arrival and throughout the meal.
The food was very good and excellent value. I would definitely go back.
The venue was cold at first but the heating was turned up. The coffees were also not hot enough from the machine. The waiter did his best offering to hit up milk from another venue. In the end we were not charged for the coffees which was good. The food was hot and tasty. Will definitely be back for the apple crumble!!
Food was lovely. Shame about the inattentive service..
Made the booking 3 weeks ago and arrived to find they had no record of it. We were seated and waited 10 mins for our drinks. It was then a further 40 mins before we received our starters. The food was adequate but the service was awful. Yes it was Halloween weekend but to actually be setting up for the nights party around the diners is pretty poor.
The free-flowing prosecco deal is outstanding value - 2 course for £23 or 3 for £28. The menu is extensive considering it's a set menu. The food is delicious and the prosecco is definitely free flowing. The ambiance can be a little loud so don't go here for an intimate dinner but it's great to people watch as the location between Carnaby and Kingly Street is very buzzy. Have been a number of times and tried different meals and have been satisfied every single time. The staff are lovely, if sometimes a little under staffed.
