We booked this place from seeing pictures of thier food on Instagram. When we arrived, it had a bar feel to the place. We were seated, just given cocktail menus and not asked if we we wanted food. We were left wondering if food was avaliable. (I did see food menus as we left!) It was a very energetic music that made us think it was actually just a bar. Several people were exstremely drunk so we thought given the vibe we wouldn't bother being embarrassed asking for menus. We ordered a cocktail after a long wait of wondering if they come to take orders or not. And then left to find somewhere were we could talk and enjoy some food. I think it needs to decide is it a bar or is it a restaurant as currently the two don't work. Confusing. They do make a good pornstar martini though!

Need to work on the basics! Liked the feel of the place, quite funky, modern atmosphere and good staff. Food is a problem - Lamb chops were not lamb chops (steaks I would guess), sirloin steaks were overcooked, one sent back, and they insist on using slate plates - not much good with juicy food, both my wife and son had juices dripped on their trousers while serving. To be fair, they gave us a couple of rounds of drinks for free, but you just don’t need to get those things wrong.

Carousel Fun KitchenResponded on 26 June 2022Thank you for visiting us at carousel. we are very sorry about the slate issue we have changed our serving plates to resolve this issue. we hope to see you again for a better experience.

We didn’t actually stay to eat. It wasn’t really our vibe. Extremely loud music, more of a bar scene than an eatery. Shame as the food online looked nice.

Carousel Fun KitchenResponded on 26 June 2022Hi Megan We are sorry you didn't stay to dine with us. On Saturdays our venue becomes a social dining space in which guest dine and dance hence the music. we would love to accommodate you for meal during the week where the atmosphere is more relaxed with background music.

We were pleasantly surprised by this new venue in the heart of town. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient, service was excellent. The menu is small but sampled different dishes across the menu which were all exceptional in quality and flavour. We enjoyed several cocktails which were delicious. A large party arrived mid way through our meal who were not considerate of others around however despite their rudeness we will definitely return as is an amazing find and definitely recommend.
