Superb food, drink and service! Incredibly well thought out, fresh, seasonal menu which was complimented beautifully by the exceptional wine flight. All members of staff go out of their way to accommodate and welcome and are all very knowledgeable. What an absolute gem to have in Moseley.

Felt this was like The Kings New Clothes. Have been to other taster restaurants which gave explosions of taste in all courses, this sadly did not happen here. Tablespoon size portions of mostly fish, strawberry course was literally one strawberry, fig ice cream with three raspberries course was spoilt by being on fermented rice which tasted awful. The evening was to celebrate my birthday and the lovely gesture of a plate with handmade chocolate and a happy birthday note from the chef was handed with gusto to my partner - I had to say it was my birthday and not his. The staff were very attentive but unfortunately I have to say that overall I was really disappointed.

We went to Carters to celebrate my daughters 20th birthday. Lunch was amazing value at £40.00 a head, the menu was fun and delicious, it was great having the set menu, I don't think any of us would have chosen what we had, and it was all totally delicious, the 'snacks' were wonderful morsels, the pate with savory grains was to die for, but would have been too rich if there was more, the baby herbs that you cut yourself with scissors great fun, inventive and a lovely freshener. Every course was bought and explained, all were seasoned to perfection and we loved every mouthful! We didn't have wine as we are not keen at lunchtime, I was happy with water which was topped attentively, Pippa had the house made strawberry drink, fresh and different. The service was perfect. Many thanks for an all round fantastic experience!

Wonderful ,wonderful to die for food, compliments to the chef. Both the lamb and mushroom porridge dishes were amazing. Great atmosphere, friendly knowledgeable staff, nothings too much trouble. I don't eat fish and my other half doesn't eat cheese, but this was effortlessly solved. I am a coffee addict and the cofficianado chap really knows his stuff. This was our second visit to Carter's and we can't wait to eat there again . Thank you for a delicious lunch, well done X

The menu was very surprising and original, with excellent integration of local products. The contact with the personnel was excellent, information provided was perfect. We really liked the way a series of wine choices was offered. The only "minor" in our opinion was the rather cool interior design. The pricing was also on the high limit. Nevertheless we really enjoyed eating at this restaurant and had a very nice evening.

Had a fabulous evening at Carters for my 60th birthday. The food is outstanding and all the courses were explained to us by the lovely waiters and waitress.
We sat by the kitchens and were amazed at the calm efficiency of Brad and the chefs.
Loved the whole occasion and look forward to returning.

Food was fantastic, the most basic ingredient of the whole meal utterly blew my expectations. Have and will continue to highly recommend. The service was exceptional and learning how the ingredients were locally sourced was both interesting and great to see how local farmers were being supported.

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. The food was outstanding and it was great to hear about the locally sourced ingredients. The wine pairing was really interesting and gave us an opportunity to try wines we haven’t come across before. The team were all lovely and made the evening really special. The birthday treat for my mum at the end was a really lovely touch. We’ll definitely go back!

Four of us spent 3 hours at Carter's of Moseley over a Saturday lunchtime. The staff were attentive without being overbearing right from when we booked. Our dining choices , vegetarian, pescatarian and a couple of items to be avoided, were checked carefully. The staff were knowledgeable about the food, this added to our enjoyment as we are all passionate about food. Additionally, we were given great guidance with the wine we tasted.
We had been planning this visit for several months and travelled for several hours to be there. We were all very pleased to be there, such amazing tastes and interesting food.
We felt the vegetarian options were imaginative. Thankyouu to the enthusiastic staff.

Can't say enough about our experience at Carter's - the staff clearly love what they do - they are so engaged, thoughtful and really go above and beyond to make the experience special. The wine pairings were really unique and a lot of fun to taste. The food itself was incredible and unlike anything I've ever experienced.

Food very nice and innovative with knowledgable attentive staff but interior ambience and location lacking. Perhaps £150 per head for 6 course taster meal with paired drinks at lunch time is excessive. Optional service is not optional unless you ask for it to be taken off the bill.

The ambience, food, and service at Carters was outstanding. Having dined at a number of michelin starred restaurants, we were particularly impressed with the staff who managed to be simultaneously incredibly inefficient and knowledgeable, and yet relaxed.

It is really is an experience at Carters, and they've thought of everything; there are loads little small touches throughout the menu that impress you, make you think in equal measure.

I had a thoroughly enjoyable time.

WOW, WOW, WOW - What a wonderful experience. Celebrating my brother in laws 50th in style. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant to the moment we left it was just wonderful.
ALL the staff excellent, personal, knowledgeable, friendly - the food NO WORDS!!!!! - you cannot call this a meal, its a real food experience from start to finish. With every course a theatrical act of its own.
it was especially appreciated by our men who are budding chefs themselves and any good food always appreciated by my sister and myself.
Every member of staff had contact with us (the chef & kitchen staff didn't have much say as I had to go to the kitchen to thank them all!!!!!). A real family and team work at its very best. We all felt like we were the only ones there, a lovely relaxed ambience - we didn't want it to end.
In a way it didn't as we were talking it about it all the next day, reliving each course and wishing we were back there.
Cannot recommend this enough - Well done Brad & Holly and thank you so very much

Booked lunch at this Michelin star restaurant courtesy of a £150 birthday gift voucher from my kids. Lynda went for the four course option and I opted for six courses with accompanying wines. Both options were preceded by four 'amuse bouches'. I also ordered a glass of Manzanilla to cleanse my palate between courses (washed down with tap water), and a bottle of Rose, mainly for Lynda. The bill came to £230 including a 12.5% gratuity for the staff, which was richly deserved.

In fact it is the staffing, particularly the sommelier that makes this restaurant a 'theatrical experience' rather than a fine meal......and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Don't go because you are hungry for fine food, although it is indeed very fine, because the portions are very small indeed, but do go for the experience. Every course is delivered by one of the chefs who explains the origin of the ingredients and the cooking techniques used to prepare them........and do enhance your experience by ordering the accompanying wine package........the sommelier is very entertaining indeed.

The prices are eye-watering, but I'm not complaining..........my whole afternoon was brilliant fun. Having said that, it's a bit like a Royal Garden Party .......... a fabulous 'one off' experience to be recommended........but probably not repeated.

Second visit, this time to celebrate my husbands birthday.
Outstanding food with lots of use of local ingredients. Staff really knowledgeable, friendly but not too intrusive . Wish restaurant was a little nearer to our home, so we could get taxi and explore wine menu more thoroughly. Still great for a treat or special occasion.

Near perfect birthday lunch for my wife at this relaxed and informal Michelin-starred restaurant. Wonderful food (chicken liver cereal snack, the bread and ‘pig fat’ and Maida Vale cheese on malt loaf, with ale, were sensational highlights) and, great organic / ‘natural’ wine pairings. Couple that with, as always, great service and you can’t fail to have a superb time!
