Casa Brasil Portsmouth
ALL YOU CAN EAT BRASILIAN BBQ TAPAS
We will still be serving all our fantastic BBQ meats but have replaced our buffet style with our NEW unlimited selection of tapas style salads & Brasilian hot dishes which will be served at your table. You can order as many bowls as you like! Book now at Casa Brasil where we honour the Brazilian Gaúcho’s traditional method of cooking. This involves taking the most delicious and flavoursome cuts of meat, which are then skewered and slowly cooked on our charcoal grill. These mouth-watering meats are carved at the table-side. With each of the different cuts offering a unique and succulent experience.
In the evenings you can enjoy our full BBQ that includes 11 different cuts of meat and lunch BBQ includes 6 different cuts of meat.
I've already sent you an email about waiters not having there masks on correctly not covering their noses ! Then forgot our side orders after 40 mins
It would have been a great experience except we didnt recieve any of our drinks for about 45 mins to an hour. We had to stop eating because we were so thirsty. We couldnt even get a jug of water for the table. If we had had something to drink it would have been fine. It was very busy which was understandable for a slight wait for drinks, but 45 mins was excessive even for a jug of water. Will most likely not return due to this experience.
Trying their hardest to get back to normality I’m sure however I would say they possibly take too many bookings at a time we waited a long time just for water to the table we were actually served meat before any water for the table then came our cocktails and a waiter serving meat across from my partner across the table knocked the hole drink over his lap
We were told at the start of the meal this will be replaced and by the end we are paying for a bill we still have not received the replacement cocktail he also only had one bottle of water for the whole time we attended And that was not from lack of asking
We visited to celebrate my special birthday and have been a few times to the Port Solent Casa Brasil but this is the first time since lockdown. The restaurant was very busy and very loud - there were a number of large tables near us which made it very difficult to hear our waiter Phil (who was brilliant I have to say) so he had to keep taking his mask off which really defeated the point of wearing one! one our rounds of drinks took 45 minutes to arrive and on a really hot day this was not ideal. I don't think the food was as good at this visit and didn't seem value for money as we had to wait a fair while for the tapas to arrive and not easy to eat along with the meat - we ended up eating the salads then the meat and visa versa. I would probably go along again to see if this is any different but I will wait for a few months before attempting to visit.
Would I recommend Casa Brasil to a friend - yes but maybe not on a Saturday night when it is probably at its busiest
The meat was plentiful but when I asked for some more sides twice they said they will send someone no one appeared, also ordered two drinks again half an hour went by and I had to ask again, it wasn’t particularly busy, very poor service and considering how much your paying I would have expected better.
Always have a fantastic meal here and they didn't Dissapoint this visit either. Great food, lovely friendly staff and atmosphere.
Recommend this to anyone!
Tip... Turn up super hungry 😂
absolutely lovely restaurant and position ,lovely food
Served quickly and the food was excellent as always. Much prefer the tapas side dishes to the buffet, you don’t over eat. Definitely recommend and will return
The staff were all great and everything was well organised with new measures in place.
I think the table service tapas is a great idea and should continue even when not necessary.
We enjoyed our meal...........................................
Waited 25 mins forever for someone to take a drink order - eventually had To go and walk up to someone to take the order. Then the drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive. Finally seated and then when the meat came round it was the same things over and over and because the table next to us had their red card over - we kept getting ignored. So was taking ages for the meat to come and when it did we were either missed or it was exactly the same thing- beef sirloin, beef rump or pork. We were there for an hour and a half to eat and were offered meat 5 times. Not in a rush to go again anytime soon. Should be told when you get there if they are not serving half the stuff really.
We were looking forward to our experience however we had to wait for 20minutes just to Place a drinks order, waited a further 30 minutes for drinks to arrive and to place a food order. Meat (only 3 choices of meats were offered on the all inclusive menu)arrived and 30minutes later the sides arrived a bit late In my opinion. The seafood we ordered arrive 20minutes after every one else had started eating, this was not enjoyable prawns, scallops and fish over cooked with a rubber texture, safe to say not a great evening and we left very disappointed, if I could give zero stars I would!
Visited Casa Brasil Portsmouth on our return journey from our holiday, having not been to Casa for twelve months due to the distance from home. We arrived early for our booking but were immediately accommodated by front of house. New COVID 19 eating arrangements were explained, an assortment of tapas dishes ordered and promptly delivered despite the restaurant being vibrantly busy for mid-week. Food was excellent, with attentive staff providing constant service with bbq meats. The atmosphere was lively due to the number of patrons and the Mardi Gras review video, but this did not detract from a wonderful evening. The service team deserve all the plaudits for making a memorable occasion (again).
Our first time visiting.
Very busy due to the eat out to help out scheme and service and food affected a bit...we didn’t get to try many of the meats advertised. Hopefully as the scheme progresses things will settle.
I went with my family wednsday for my daughters birthday food sevice was awful we waited forever to receive anything firgot half the stuff will not recommend was an awful
food was good but served out of sequence resulting in cold hot tacos and drinks only arrived after several requests to waitor.
We had a lovely evening. The waiting team were finished and smiley. My one year old granddaughter who was experiencing her first time in a restaurant was made to feel welcome by everyone, hence she was perfectly behaved. The meals were well cooked and plentiful and the drinks were flowing with the assistance of happy hour.
A great evening out, and one we plan to repeat soon.
Having visited the previous Friday where we had an amazing time, with amazing food and service - we were keen to go back with our children.
30 minute wait for drinks
45 minute wait for food order (not too much of a problem but the lack of communication was apparent.
Chips were raw, cauliflower cheese was still heavily chilled in the middle (tapas are microwaved) mixed salad was more like a cold soup as more liquid than salad. Food dished up and had to wait for another 5 mins for plates and cutlery.
Gammon wasn’t on the menu - no alternative was offered.
Asked for some tap water - it took 20 minutes to arrive.
Just gutted that our second experience was inferior to the first because we had such a great time the first time. On that basis, we will be back but if that had been our first experience - we wouldn’t return.
Although amazing food & service, this restaurant was definitely not set up for social distancing. We were lucky enough to be seated outside so open air offered more protection, but the back of our chair still touched back of next tables chair! Inside was chaos with no empty tables to ensure social distancing. Jam packed with children running around all over the place.
We had a lovely family lunch at Casa Brasil Portsmouth. The service was excellent and they were very helpful with our young daughter who has allergies. The new table service (rather than visiting the buffet) worked really well, and as always, the meat on offer was superb. A brilliant experience and we will certainly return soon.
Service was a little slow to begin woth but we did get there near closing time. Food was excellent and very well priced for the amount you got. Wish there was one in the north of England so I could go again.
The service was very good. Staff are attentive (given the circumstances) and some of them really try. But the food is a total disappointment. As a Brazilian, I can see why there weren’t many Brazilians in - we know that is not right.
The meat was basically raw, the food tasted off and it took over one hour to get to us. If it wasn’t for the eat out to help out £20 discount, I would certainly be refusing to pay for the whole price.
Packed . No social distancing at all some people from different familes less tham 30cm apart. We did not eat there we let our booked table go to others that dont care about COVID . This place was disgraceful..
Food was was fantastic, we were just forgotten about when it came to service. We had to wait 80 minutes for our drinks, by which time we had pretty much finished our meal.
What we expected due to the EAT OUT TO HELP OUT but overall an enjoyable evening, didn't take long for the appetizers to come out and after that the meats just kept coming we had a great evening.
I have emailed two day’s ago with a complaint.
Poor seating arrangement with our seat close to open door and open to bright sunlight and strong winds, unfortunately due to lots of customers benefiting from the discount but made the ambiance very noisy and disturbing.
I asked to be seated elsewhere but due to venue at capacity this request was declined.
Food and service was excellent - ruined due to over populate diners make social distancing difficult and uncomfortable.
Had a fantastic time, food was great and drinks when we first arrived, but when we ordered more drinks during the happy hour first lot of drinks arrived 25 minutes later and the other drinks arrived another 20 minutes later, we mentioned this and had the drinks taken off the bill which was very kind. Will definitely be back
The quality has not diminished following the cov19 lock down, with CB taking every effort to keep the distance for guests with addition cleaning stations. The open buffet has gobecreplaced with Tapas style bowls of your own selected sides.when they come out the the signature meat serving commences as good as before.
We have always loved it here but unfortunately this time wasn’t so great. It took someone 20mins to offer us a drink or food after seated, same to get the bill and pay.
It was extremely busy in there and with the current situation I thought the seating would of been more spaced out, our area was one of the better seating.
Watched a staff member wipe down the table with just a cloth no cleaning products, again not good with the current situation.
Sadly the food wasn’t as good as it always has been in the past, we put it down to them being overly busy. We did much prefer the tapas side dishes now they came out fresh and hot! The staff were very friendly and you could see were working very hard.
Hate for this to be a negative review but hopefully this can help with future decisions, as I say has always been good in the past.
Food is amazing and definitely worth the money. Only downside is service was very slow.
Brilliant! Good measures in place. Table service was brilliant as usual. Actually preferred the sides being served instead of the buffet. Fantastic visit. Thank you!
Second time Fab all I can say came with friends again
Great food! Staff very polite. Value for money.
We went for my sons birthday. The food was amazing, the service was amazing, the atmosphere was great. The staff brought my sons cake out and sang happy birthday to him. We really did have a great evening, the staff were so friendly and helpful and we all left with really full tummies. Will definitely go back and would 100% recommend.
Amazing food as always but the service team were under a lot of pressure as it was the first evening of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme and they were fully booked. We saw a few tables leave before ordering as there was a considerable wait between being seated, orders taken and food/drinks arriving.
The whole team were working as hard as they could but my advice would be to get a couple more people on and better communication between the person seating the customers and the people serving.
Absolutely ram packed in there. How are they COVID19 safe? All servers wearing masks but not the manager... Why does he think he shouldn't wear a face covering? Staff all extremely busy service not great. Upset customers not being served for a long time. Lots using the Eat Out to Help Out...
Service was extremely poor, not enough waiters to order drinks and food.
Good quality food in an unlimited quantity, cant ask for more really.
Me encanta la comida y el atendimento de ellos! Son fantásticos!
