    Food was lovely and the place is beautiful. The service was ok, but I had a heavy suitcase and instead of seating us in a near-empty downstairs the server took us upstairs and I had to lug the suitcase up (no offer of help or of storing it downstairs). It also took a while to be seated despite having a reservation and waiting for a few minutes at the counter, even though he could see us waiting. It took quite a bit of time for our drinks order to be taken and for the drinks to arrive but the food came quickly and was delicious. Overall I would definitely come back.

    Very nice food! We liked it so much, but couldn't finish it all so they gave us boxes to take the rest home in. Very attentive and pleasant staff. Beautiful restaurant with lots of real plants which created a lovely feel.

    We felt very rushed by our servers, had 4 different staff ask us if we were finished or if they could take plates whilst we were still eating… I had written in the notes for the reservation that I was telling my friends I got engaged that evening, and would have appreciated a bit more attentiveness to this from the restaurant, than consistently interrupting and what felt like moving us off the table.

    Great food in a great location with terrific atmosphere. Our only regret is that we got stuck in traffic and were late for our booking and have to leave at the booking time (totally our fault) , we would have liked to stay longer.

    My sister and I met before an evening out at the strong room bar. The staff were very welcoming and knowledgeable, the wine was not Mateus rose! Delightfully surprised. The food I have to say, was superbly delicious. A fantastic start to our evening out.

    This was my first full on Portuguese dinner experience and Casa do Frango did not disappoint. Really flavourful dishes, great ambience and lovely space to grab a drink as well. Service was a bit slow during busy times, but plates came out as ready pretty quickly.

    The food was really tasty and nice to share with family. The service however was a bit slow and not particularly friendly, the waiters just did their jobs, but with no effort to tell us about the menu or give a smile. Nevertheless, the atmosphere in the restaurant was laid-back and nice. Would come here again for the food, but no great expectations on the service.

    Tasty food in pretty surroundings. Can especially recommended the cabbage and cauliflower sides and starters - so much flavour! The only thing was the portions were pretty small and it wasn't obvious what was a sensible amount of food to order for four to share. However, with the delectable dessert menu, no-one was left hungry!!

    The food was delicious, we also ordered sangria which was also delicious! The staff was friendly and very efficient. Only thing was we were sat under an air-conditioning unit which was blasting cold air, but was easily fixed once we told the staff.

    Had an amazing time and can't fault the food or the service. My only negative was I mentioned I had booked for my partner's 30th and the restaurant agreed to bring out a cake and candle but this didn't happen.

    Sadly I was underwhelmed by the food and the service. The food was no better than what you’d get at nandos (the coleslaw was as so dry!) and the waiting starve were inattentive and unfriendly. Wouldn’t recommend!

    Great vibes and excellent cocktails which were delivered promptly. But (as with so many places atm) the kitchen is clearly short staffed and the food took for ever to arrive. The staff were charming and apologetic, and unprompted we got some free olives. Unfortunately, when the food eventually arrived it really wasn’t worth the wait. The hispi cabbage was good, as was the African rice (though we’d nearly finished by the time that appeared) but the chips were pale and undercooked. The chicken- the main event- was also a bit underwhelming. Just go for drinks!

    I go to casa do frango regularly but I felt last night that the standards have significantly dropped. The chicken was cold and bland. The rice dishes were mushy. The vegetable oil used on the chips tasted quite bad. Service was lacking although they were very busy. Sangria was shoddy - no fruit despite the people on the table behind us having sangria with pieces of fruit as it should be.

    Nice catch up with friends. Welcomed with a smile. The staff did seem a bit tired as waiter brought us another tables food but all got sorted quickly and VERY reasonable price :) 4 ppl with full stomach and a bottle of wine came under £25 pp.
