Food was ok , we were underwhelmed with service and taste and have experienced much nicer Italian food locally so wouldn’t rush back.

Good menu options, with allergens well marked. Tasty food, service ok, not quick. Dessert menu does not have allergens marked, which needs to be rectified. Prices reasonable.

Decent Food But Nothing Out of the Ordinary: I booked a table for two at seven and we arrived bang on time. We had to hang around a little before we were seated as there was no-one in attendance when we arrived but we were quickly seated once we were noticed. The lass who served us appeared to be quite new to waiting on, was clearly anxious and unused to taking orders, but since this a relatively new establishment, this is to be expected. The ambience was neutral, nothing special. We turned off the air freshener next to our table as it kept spritzing into our airspace and the last thing you want to taste is air freshener. The restaurant was fairly full (especially considering it was a Wednesday in early January) and the noise level was quite high, so my husband who is hearing impaired, struggled to hear for some of our visit. The music was 90s pop music, which while we enjoy that era of music, was maybe not really 'dinner music', Italian classical might have been better, to more create an ambience but sit in the background rather than the foreground. The food was good, but again nothing exceptional so it seemed rather expensive for nothing special. Had we been served genuine Italian gelato or even locally sourced ice cream for desserts and had locally sourced meats and cheeses from local artisan producers been used in their recipes, then they might have been able to command their prices, but both my husband and I felt that the food had nothing to set it apart from any other Italian we have been to. Overall a nice night out, and great not to have to cook, but the experience won't stay with us for long.

First time back since it reopened. A bit disappointed that the online menu wasn’t the same as the restaurant menu so we weren’t able to order what we had pre-decided. Nevertheless the pasta we ordered was excellent and plentiful. There was a large noisy group in the restaurant which diminished the ambience somewhat but that wouldn’t put us off coming again

Hi Keith. Glad to see you enjoyed the food and service. I think you may be a little confused, Casa Italian is a new business with new owners. The previous business is non existent. This may be why you have been confused with the menus... I have checked this morning on a couple of different devices and the menu on our website is the same as ours in the restaurant. Yes I do remember the noisy group. We're glad to see you have this outlook. We do discourage loud groups; however, we are limited with what we can do about it. So thank you for your understanding. Very glad you enjoyed your food too :) If this is incorrect I believe you can reply privately to this. Thanks Robert
