The restaurant was beautiful and the food was delicious. Our only complaint is the service. We were a party of three and we ordered appetizers that only came out after we finished eating our main entrees. At that point we no longer wanted them. The server was not attentive and kept forgetting to refill our drinks and bring condiments to the table. I would definitely go back for the yummy food.
Service was great! Rey was our server; super friendly, always made sure our glasses were filled and that we had whatever we needed to enjoy our time there. Everything we ordered was delicious. Out of all the food we ordered (7), only two items came out a little slow, but the kitchen was very busy when we went. Overall, really pleased and will definitely be coming back. So many items on the menu, I'm going to try a whole new spread on my next visit.
We really like the large options of food on the menu and while they tell you the food will be served once it is ready- one entre was finally served after the other 3 guests had finished eating making an otherwise wonderful experience awkward. We would have chosen another entre if we had only known earlier that there would be such a delay.
Excellent sushi. Fresh as fresh can get. Reception area staff impeccably professional!
The outdoor ambience was really and the server was friendly and provided recommendations. We ordered several small plates and appetisers. I recommend the octopus, the truffle sushi and the tuna tataki salad.
The food was delicious. I only wish I had the room to try more! Excellent service. Very attentive.
Food took too long to come out
Nice outdoor ambiance
Drinks were pretty good, but not great
They charged me extra for lettuce tomato and onion for my burger (eye roll)
Overall 3/5 stars
Menu is extensive, maybe would go back, maybe not
The food was awesome, as always. The appetizers came out quickly, but the main course took some time. That wasn't a big hardship as the ambience outside over the water is lovely. The waiter was smart and friendly and the manager, Chris, compted our dessert. Overall, I will go again for sure.
Horrible service, horrible experience. Probably the worst dining experience of my life.
Service and food were excellent. Recommend table on the dock whenever possible.
Gregory did great! Appreciate his suggestions from the menu
In general, our experience was very good. The waiter was very courteous but not completely knowledgeable on the options or the area.
We ordered Sushi, Grilled Octopus and Picanha (A Brasilian cut of meat). The Sushi and Octopus were very good; however, the Picanha was overcooked and slightly dry.
The cocktails were very light. This is commonplace in the industry but not the right place to cut cost.
Overall we had a great experience.
Waitress very poor argued with us over several issues. Took several requests to change tables as we were getting baked by the afternoon sun. Mgr Chris saved our day. Thnx
The food and ambiance were was really good. The waitress was excellent and so so nice p(Serbian girl).
Service was very good. Food was also good. Drinks were expensive, small and watered down.
Aunque se presenta como cocina fusión pan asiática y latina, la verdad parece más un restaurant de sushi de cadena. La comida estaba bien, el servicio cálido, la vista muy bonita. Sin embargo, la comida cocida sale con lentitud. Bien, sin más
The don't seem to concern with covid every table was occupied. Everything else on point my wife really loved it.
Everything went well until we waited for our donuts. It took 20 min. and we were wondering what happened. The excuse was that there was back log from the boat rental orders. But our service was pleasant and recommended kimchi fried rice and it was delicious. Thank you. The restaurant is beautiful especially sitting by the water. Love it.
First of all, my party called the restaurant to let them know I was going to be 5 minutes late, but the person on the phone was extremely rude and talked down to me. Upon arrival, we were seated outside as it was according to our reservation but the fan pointed right above us was blasting us w/ cold air. It was clear this fan was on high mode not like the others. When asked if it could be turned down they responded saying the switch was broken so the only option was to be turned off or on. Not the biggest downfall but it doesn't stop there. Our waitress notified us that this restaurant doesn't bring out food together, which at first didn't seem like an issue, except when your miso soup comes an hour later. Food is prepared "fresh" and "to order" so it comes when it's ready. When the food did arrive there was a hair on my plate as well as the avocado in my sushi was brown and definitely not "fresh". After notifying the waitress, the roll was replaced but again w/ brown and rancid tasting avocado. In response, the management that previously was rude and condescending came to the table to express rather convenient concern for our dining experience. And one last-ditch effort in appeasement they do offer to every table complimentary cotton candy. In conclusion, the free cotton candy and random popcorn as the "appetizer" seemed like a way to make up for the lack of ... everything else. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
The food was excellent. The waiter and everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. Great expereince
Great food, great service, affordable. I will be returning.
Have been here twice on vacation the food is amazing and the servers are so nice
Highly recommend the restaurant. We had a delightful dinner outside, along the water.
On Mother’s Day, I Had an 8:30 pm reservation for outdoor seating. Got there on time, waited 10 minutes to see the hostess who told me to wait so that she can seat another party ahead of me. Another person came and told me he would be checking on my table. Came back and wanted to seat my party at a balcony table with high chairs. I refused because I booked for an outdoor table. He told me I would have to wait 15-20 minutes or take a table which he showed to me in a corner close to the sidewalk, almost isolated from the hub of the restaurant. Of course, I refused. Eventually waited another 20 minutes for the right outdoor table!!
My question is: What about my reservation???
Evidently, it’s blatant disrespect of my time!
However, the food and ambiance was good, compensated for their lack of respect of customers’ personal time.
Parker our server was excellent. Drinks took a while in the beginning, but not his fault
The food lacked flavor and the Pad Thai was very salty with too much sauce. The only thing we liked was the duck!
Drinks were awful. Not sure why there is so much hype about this place.
My husband and I went there for our low key anniversary dinner. Our server Louis was great! He was very friendly and accommodating. One of the bartenders personally delivered our drinks and tweaked my husband's drink to make it even better. Nice ambience sitting outside on the upper outdoor patio still with a nice breeze and view of the water. Cuban tostones were really good as well Pad Tai. The fried snapper was ok. It could use a bit more flavour. Overall good experience.
Overall, terrible experience. It was my first time at this restaurant. We came here for my husband's birthday. When we were ordering, our waiter told us explicitly to not order the items we wanted (e.g., "pad thai noodles are undercooked"). Then the dishes we got per our waiter's recommendation was terrible - the sauces were disgusting. In particular, one of my guests had lamb which was replaced by the steak - both equally bad. What's worse is that multiple tables around us had similar complaints. The terrible food brought our moods down. When I explained this situation to the manager, Chris, he did absolutely nothing to rectify the situation.
Case Sensei was absolutely amazing.
We went for an early Mother’s Day dinner on a Saturday night. Our server was outstanding, for the life if me I can’t remember his name unfortunately.
The food is great here, so many small plates to choose from, but I will tell you their sticky ribs are absolutely outstanding! We ordered 1 and ended up ordering another.
Overall everything was delish though! Casa Sensei has the mix of Hispanic and Asian fusion down to a t! Excellent ambiance and outdoor dining on Las Olas.
I was very disappointed with the the service, the prices and the meals. We saw our server twice, we spent $260.00 for 4 of us and each had 2 cocktails and dinner. The floor inside was like walking in the kitchen. It was very dirty and greasy, people were slipping every time they walked by us.
I suggested the restaurant to my wife and friends based on the rating but have a feeling that they were from the owners. I was embarrassed that I brought them there for their mothers day dinner.
Hostesses are not accommodating and it showed by the time we were leaving that restaurant was almost empty.
Shawn was a great server, easy to reach to, check on us very often he gotus everything we wanted.
We made outdoor lunch reservations which were accommodated even on busy air show and Mother’s Day weekend. Wished our table on the water had an umbrella as it was very sunny and hot. But other than that (we live in south Florida and it’s to be expected outside) we had a lovely time! Service was great and food was nice. Would definitely go back!
Great spot for a date night. Food was amazing; you can tell everything is made from scratch. Our server Zach was great too. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to anyone that’ll listen.
The food was amazing! Had the lobster guacamole to start. For dinner ate the Korean Skirt Steak and Mongolian Beef Tips. Lots of flavor! The Lycheetini was also delicious. Would definitely recommend this place to friends! Best part was the cotton candy surprise at the end.
We had a wonderful time at this restaurant! Our waitress was very accommodating and the Manager came by a couple of times to chat and to ensure we were enjoying our experience. I highly recommend this restaurant!
Fantastic food. Very creative sushi and Japanese/Latin dishes. Dishes come out as they're ready, drinks we're great. High top outdoor table was comfortable md spacious for group of 4
Delicious food, every dish was cooked to perfection. High recommended to order multiple dishes to share.
The hostess, and our assigned waiter were not attentive and unprofessional . The service was awful. The food was amazing however because of the poor service we will not add this spot to our choice of dining in the future .
