Great food and great atmosphere.
Food was a bit over priced as condiments were charged extra and should of been included in the price of a single meal. Very expensive but food was great.
But overall, very satisfied with my experience of CATCH for the first time.
Squid starter was a little tough and over salted. Fish and chips nice enough but not exceptional
Warm welcome and seated very quickly. Service was excellent. Sea bass a little over cooked but very tasty.
Enjoyable evening. The scampi was excellent and the Leeds Mess to die for!
Excellent in every way. Generous portions of super quality.
Great food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and good value for money.
We had fish and chips which was excellent. It was very quiet which we were surprised at as the food and service was excellent. Highly recommended.
Mussel Monday was absolutely fantastic, the quality of food was outstanding and such great value for money, defo going here again no question, this was my second visit and Catch is firmly on my favourites list!.
Lovely friendly service, flexible with choices for vegan from menu, great food, hot, quick and tasty. Spotlessly clean, great covid protocols in place. We had booked but it was quite quiet... use it or lose it - it was lovely!
Making a table reservation was very easy and straightforward. I was made very welcomed. The fish pie was excellent with a variety of seafood ingredients, cooked to piping hot and served with green peas; and this alone was more than sufficient for me. The Fishpie itself was a very good portion. I had Sauvignon blanc to wash it down. They paired very well.
The restaurant was clean and roomy. I only wish the glass panes had been made partial so that perhaps the top or the upper part of one or two panels be made into windows to allow for better ventilation, especially for when the weather becomes cold again. The door was left open on the day I went, so that helped.
Great find. Highly recommended. Lovely evening and food
Food excellent. Service excellent. Prices quite a bit higher especially the wine!!
Swordfish with a seafood curry was excelent.Seabass was also very good, with tasty jam fritters desert.
Server got one of the orders wrong which meant both went back. Guessing the 2 bits of halibut went under a warmer as they were overcooked when they came back. My seafood curry with it was fine but realised later the raita had been missed off too! The other halibut was with Moroccan roasted vegetables which was only peas, onion and cubed squash from a packet we suspect. Not a great success but they did give us our glasses of wine free for the mix up
Lovely food and service but very expensive for a fish and chips restaurant. £86 for 2 adults and 2 kids and only one person had a glass of wine
Decided to visit this new branch of the Catch restaurants on the last day before the new lockdown. We regularly visit the West Vale branch and found the quality and value for money just as good at this new venue. It was a little quiet but not a problem.
I had hoped to have the bottomless Monday night mussel madness but unfortunately it was sold out. I had the fish pie and my mum had the standard mussels. I didn’t love the choice of cheese in the fish pie but the mash was lovely and I loved the presentation. The mussels were amazing (which made me even sadder that the bottomless wasn’t available!) everytime I come to catch I have the tiger prawn starter which is amazing.
As per previous visits the service was perfect, friendly attentive staff and just a fab venue.
Loved the food can’t wait to try more of the menu.
My only complaint is that they played a compilation album of popular old hits, but not by the original artists. Sounded like an awful covers band in a caravan site club. Why?
Fab lunch we really enjoyed it as a family. Service was fantastic
Lovely refurbishment. Friendly staff and hygiene good. Hand wash and masks available and all staff wearing masks. Food good, if a little pricey but that is only to be expected in current circumstances.
We enjoyed our visit to the fish restaurant on street lane , we will return again when things start to improve.
Lovely food and great service. The refurbished space looks great. Nice and clean.
I just feel you need a little bit more atmosphere. Maybe some half wall room deciders or something. It feels like one big open empty space.
Not just a fish and chips restaurant. A variety of lovely fresh fish including shell fish. Lovely, different sides. Very quiet with good service.
Catch Seafood is amazing we love it. Holmfirth and West Vale are the best seafood restaurants ever... Street Lane Leeds was lovely the staff were good, very covid aware, it will be even better when they settle in and sell lobster lol.
Will definitely visit again - very soon.
Oh the Monday to Thursday 25% off offer is brilliant, so is the lunchtime fish ‘n chips special... 🌟🌟🌟🌟
more than just a chippie, with a good selection of other than battered fish, in a bright and well spaced room.
we went just after they opened at Street Lane when it was a quiet evening, but if they maintain this standard of service and quality in busier times than it will become a regular haunt of ours
would recommend this restaurant clean air conditioned friendly staff good service and nice food
A vast improvement on its predecessor. The menu needs to go further upmarket to justify the additional charges. The food we had was very well prepared.Very good service.
We wish this new enterprise every success as Street Lane needs an upmarket seafood restaurant.
About time we had a good fish restaurant in Leeds. The food was excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. Wine was a bit pricey but enjoyable. Atmosphere a bit lacking as less than half the tables were occupied but that may be due to the rain, the 25 percent reduction Monday to Thursday or more likely Covid!
Really delicious food and an interesting menu. A great edition to the area. Will definitely be back!
Fantastic fish and chips, fabulous friendly service and a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
We will defo be back soon.
Wow ... the quality of fish is second to none
The staff are friendly and efficient with a great welcome
Highly recommend Catch ... just give it a try
This is a great addition to Street Lane, Leeds. There has been a fish & chip take away/restaurant on this site since I can remember, but boy the 'Catch' team have given this a 'proper' sprucing up... & I don't just mean the decor- which is very nice. The menu... I was really torn about what to order. In the end went for the lindisfarne oysters - ordered 6 to share... regretted that - I could have eaten all 6 by myself. Fresh and plump & served simply with lemon, mild onion & tabasco sauce 😋 - all of which you add according to your taste. Next the main event - halibut. Delicious cooked perfectly, served on a bed of pasta, mussels, clams, samphire, chorizo & parmesan cream... yes it was great. Now I need to plan my next visit... it might just have to be Monday - bottlemless Mussels... check it out.
Our first visit since the upgrade and re-opening. Service was friendly and attentive, ambience fine and food just outstanding.
We enjoyed the starters very much
There were only a few chips with my fish
The plates were cold
My wife had fish curry
Flavour was goid but fish was rather rubbery
Nice relaxed atmosphere, very friendly staff and extremely tasty food.
Fish and chips are lovely and resteraunt is really well presented. Will be back
Really enjoyed our trip to Catch! The food was really nice and service good. Only negative I could give it to remove the halloumi cheese from the cous cous salad that is a side with the fish specials. Because it’s cold it was really hard! Either make it warm or take it out. Everything else was great!
Great fish and chips, great service, great value !!
Can't wait to go back and sample another item on the extensive menu. A wonderful experience!
