A personal celebration
Great views from the restaurant and knowledgeable server
The food was good overall but service could have been a little better. Also we had a large group and they charged for water which I have never seen a restaurant charge for tap water.
The waitress was very nice and attentive. There was a big table composed of various adults and several young guys and girls(22-24), locals and Americans. They were extremely loud all the time they were there.
I was having a nite out with my wife and chose Cayo Blanco to have dinner.
They were asked to lower the tone but it dis not happen!
The owner or manager apologized after they left and offered two cups of wine, we said no but he insisted so we accepted. Good gesture.
Food was good but a bit overpriced, something I understand because of the location.
Would go again.
We tried this restaurant on the first night of our honeymoon and decided to have it again on our last night. We LOVE this place, the people, and the food. We had a bottle of La Posta Malbec, shared the cod croquettes, the empanadas, the Octopus appetizer, and the fried Red Snapper. AMAZING! We will definitely go back on our next trip to beautiful San Juan!
We had our first dinner of our honeymoon here and saw it had great reviews and it was within walking distance of our resort. The service and hospitality were absolutely outstanding. The suggestions and food were amazing. We are going back one more time before we head home from our honeymoon. Definitely try this place! The Octopus appetizer is AMAZING.
A great meal with excellent service!
My steak was perfectly cooked and the service was top notch. My husband and I were celebrating our one year anniversary with friends and the staff gave my party complimentary champagne and shots. Definitely recommend!
Excellent Puerto Rican food restaurant just across from the Condado Vanderbilt Hotel. Their cocktails are marvelous— start dinner the right way with one of their mojitos (although their sangria is delightful as well). You can’t go wrong with any of their appetizers, and when it comes to the main course, I highly recommend the Paella (exquisite shrimps, scallops, mussels, mahi-mahi, calamari and king prawns) as well as their Rib Eye Steak prepared with garlic, herbs, and butter and served with arañitas (fried shredded plantains) and sliced avocados.
After each meal, the house is gracious enough to serve the patrons a chichaito (one of the many traditional drinks in the island consisting of a shot glass filled with white rum and anisette).
Don’t be surprised if you catch yourself planning your next visit to Cayo Blanco minutes after leaving the restaurant. This is a must in Ashford Avenue.
Food was good. Mashed potatoes where a litle bland in flavor, more like plain mash. Mofongo was excellent. I did not like the mojitos. Not many options for dessert.
What an experience!! The food was great and the service was even better. I forgot that I even added that it was my sisters birthday and they already had it set up.
Great food and staff. A but pricey but well worth it. Highly recommended!!
Service was extremely slow. Food very pretty and expensive, but not good at all! The mofongo was dry, the crab and mampostero rice didn’t really have flavor. We got an equivalent criollo meal for a third of the price, and delicious, at cafe Bebos on Calle Loiza. Never coming back here!
Appetizers-grilled octopus, spicy calamri, grilled sausage w/chimichurri sause, some Spanish rice and a chefs salad with grilled chicken was as much as we could eat. EVERYTHING was outstanding.
I love this place! This was my third time coming here. The avocado salad is so delicious and fresh that we ordered a second one. We did the same thing the first two times. And just as the first two times, I ordered the skirt steak with chimichurri. The steak was perfectly cooked and so flavorful on its own. The chimichurri was okay, could have had more flavor. It may have been that I had more oil than other ingredients, but overall, still very tasty. The sweet plantains were a great side. Will come back here every time I visit San Juan!
Small intimidate setting. Nice friendly waiter. The food was good.
Service and food were outstanding, very accommodating for my gluten free needs. Great menu, can’t say enough and would most definitely go back next time in San Juan
I had a party of 5 and waited a hour and a half for
Food that never came! Our server was very rude, unapologetic and the manager did not show any type of empathy for us waiting WHEN WE HAD A RESERVATION! 3 parties sat and ate and we waited. Eventually, we left at 11:00 after voicing how displeased we were with the service. As a visitor to this city I’d never come back nor will I ever recommend anyone to dine here.
To maintain a pleasant environment we don't allow offensive attitudes of any. Even with a reservation, all the tables that were sitted had already been ordered so their food was served before yours. Your order included cuts of well-done meats that usually take longer time. So we let know on several occasions, but your disrespectful attitude forced us to ask you to leave. We have the right of admission to our facilities for those guests who don't keep a position consistent with our service.
Very good atmosphere, food, drinks and service. They even worked with my wife’s celiac disease so that she could eat even though they didn’t have any specifically marked gluten free items.
The food was amazing but it takes a long time for the food to be prepared
We travel to Puerto Rico a few times a year and always make Cayo Blanco an option for dinner. We find that there are always some good specials and the food is prepared fresh and is good.
My experience was Fantastic, and the staff was super. They accommodated my requests and the most important thing was that the food was excellent! I had the Caribbean 14 oz lobster and the Snapper stuffed with Shrimp special. The Scallop appetizers were very good as well. I am from California and I highly recommend this restaurant. Alex my waiter did a good job!! Shawn G
This place has a very welcoming and home type feel. Chef Alex and the staff are amazing and accommodating. We will be returning!
Everything was good but food took way too long to come out and communication was poor.
Must visit place for good food.
Cayo Blanco provided us a most awesome meal and friendly, attentive service. My wife and I and had the sword fish and carribean Lobster. The lobster was the best we have ever had and the sword fish was done perfectly, and certainly ranked at the very top we have ever had.
We had a group of 11, on a late evening. We had a wonderful, excellent experience!
Casual dinning. Good food.
Fried whole snapper was great. Empanadas were small but tasty. Very amiable service, great Cayo Blanco Mojito
This place was so lovely, intimate and beautiful. The food was amazing, I had fried red snapper with fired plantains. The service was a little slow, but I the quality of the food totally made up for it. I'm really happy I came here for my last dinner in Puerto Rico.
Some of the best seafood in San Juan. Fabulous décor. Great service and bar.
Did all tapas. Food was excellent. A bit noisy but would definitely recommend. Great mojitos.
First time in Puerto Rico and we tried the recommendation of red snapper, octopus, seafood mofongo and the crab cakes. Everything was delicious and tasty. We loved everything, even the drinks were amazing. I had the best traditional mojito here. The service was great. We had 2 waiters and they were really wonderful with giving recommendations and checked in on us just the right amount of times. I’d love to come back again before we leave.
Servicio y comida excelente! 100% recomendado.
Ambiente agradable y tranquilo.
The mofomgo was amazing! I highly recommend it.
Oustsnding experience! Out of the 4 day stay this restaurant was dinner for 3 of the nights. Excellent food and the service was great.
Welcoming receptive proprietor and attentive flexible server
Not one thing to complain about. Best octopus on the Island. Ribs are a sleeper. Salads crisp and tasty.
Love this place!!! The service was excellent (thank you Alex) and the good was even better!! This is certainly a restaurant that I will revisit upon my return to Puerto Rico!!!
Lovely contemporary restaurant. Nice folks. Excellent food. Very enjoyable evening.
Complementary rum shots at end of meal was a nice gesture.
