Service was slow
Wonderful food and service. A bit on the noisy side, though, and the side table and chairs (one side is a bench) are not very comfortable.
The Sunday brunch is excellent been before and will definitely go again
Dear Sue, thank you for taking the time to rate us highly. We are delighted that you enjoyed your experience with us and we look forward to seeing you back at Cecconi's soon. Cecconi's The Ned
V good. Enjoyed it a lot. Price and quality of food do not meet up.
Wonderful evening. Very busy and the lights dimmed a little early but that’s about it xx
Great service and good food in a lively City environment.
Dear Melanie, Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your time with us recently. We are all very pleased that you enjoyed the experience. Cecconi's The Ned

My favourite place in London right now.
Pasta is amazing
Dear Chobbsy, Thank you ever so much for your kind review. We are thrilled that Cecconi's surpassed your expectations and that you found the food delicious. We have passed along your comments to the kitchen team and I am sure they appreciate those kind words. Kindest regards, Cecconi's The Ned
Always a good environment for a chat with friends or business associates, tables are not "Crowded" service is, as always unobtrusive and efficient, and the overall ambience is soothing.
Yes I would. My friends & myself had a lovely evening there , great place to catch up & have great food.
I wish I was made aware in advance that on Sunday we can ONLY get the Sunday buffet and that we cannot order anything else than what’s offered on the plates out.
It was my birthday and we got to have simply a buffet food and we hoped for fine dining..., I wouldn’t offer my guests buffet food if only knew that’s the option for the day.
In addition the food wasn’t versatile, wasn’t best quality, not hot enough and really wouldn’t even value it for the money.
I have also requested a candle stick I never got it ...
Really wasn’t the place and the menu to celebrate bday I’d imagine.
If their food a la cart is the same quality as the buffet they offered, that would be huge disappointment!
Dear AlexS, Thank you for sharing your comments. Please accept our sincerest apologies that several areas from your experience were below your expectations. We aim to deliver and outstanding service and experience to all guests and have not succeeded on this occasion. Could I please ask you to contact me personally on mathias.turco@thened so we may discuss this matter in more detail and ensure that your concerns are addressed? With kindest regards. Wonderful ambiance, energy and environment. Although dressing up isn't a must, it's a nice opportunity to do so and the with the live band and singing it felt like a Gatsby scene. I didn't feel like I received as much proactive attention from waiters upon being seated. Also, some other staff interactions were questionable but perhaps I'm being picky. Overall this is a great venue to bring anyone to, especially if planning to leave an impression and at the very least you'll leave with warm memories. A+
Beautiful place to go for a meal and further drinks. Expensive but very much worth for an amazing evening. Live band and staff were both incredible and a credit to the Ned.
Poor, food was cold😞
My partner and i went to celebrate our first valentines....9.30 pm on Friday 14th. To start i went for the Tuna tartare, my partner opted for the crab. The food wasn’t bad but i just expected a little bit more......the tuna was bordering on bland and presentation was ordinary. For mains we opted for a joint Tomahawk steak, this was cooked as per our request and a nice dish. The overall ambience was lively as opposed to romantic, instead of some nice background music in the Ned i found the live singer overpowering and really going for it, as a result i actually moved across table and sat side by side with my partner in between courses so i could hear what she was saying. Finally, the lighting wasn’t right......it would be been lovely to have mood lighting, i get that idea but Cecconis was dark, the only way to read the menu was to hold the one tea light on the table next to the menu to see it. Service was great. Atmosphere wonderful. Setting and ambience delightful, the old bank hall is a gorgeous building. I’d definitely frequent the Ned again but maybe more for cocktails and in a group rather than romance.
The venue was very noisy and the food was overpriced
The waiters and waitresses seemed lost. Did not attend my table a lot.
The restaurant was too dark to read the menu. The drums were also a little too noisy.
The staff were brilliant with me- I am on crutches with a cast on my leg at the moment, and they were very helpful.
One thing I would note is that as soon as our plates had been cleared for our main courses, our waiter brought us our bill without us asking. I'm sure this was a genuine mistake, but I had to give it back to him as we wanted to order coffee, and it made us feel a bit rushed. As I say, I'm sure it was an honest mistake, but as I was with a client it was slightly awkward. But overall a lovely lunch, thank you.
Great atmospere, music not too intrusive, staff very attentive, food was delicious
10 out of 10, will return
Beautiful meal and fantastic service. Will definitely book again!
This was my second visit. First time was brilliant (lunch booking). Second visit (a late breakfast) a little disappointed. Three of us had avocado on toast topped with fried egg instead of poached and the crust on the toast was so hard we asked for steak knives. My other friend asked for eggs well done but they came out too soft and the whites weren’t cooked. They replaced the dish after a long wait (we had finished eating) and didn’t charge was was fair but I did notice that because we were more or less the last sitting for breakfast they had lost interest in us and were concentrating more on the lunch bookings. Saying that the venue is beautiful. Has the wow factor. But I think I will try another restaurant at The Ned in future.
We had to wait 15 minutes for the table and ask several times. Food was okay, but nothing that excites me. The noise level caused by live music was quite annoying, a normal conversation was not possible. I don't think anyone there would appreciate this noise level while eating.
Dear Olaf, Thank you for posting your review, we are all disappointed that you did not enjoy your dinner with us. Your wait for the table is unfortunate and we would like to apologize about this. Whilst we understand and empathize that the noise levels can be quite intense, the Ned has been designed to deliver a great atmosphere in live music on the ground floor. Hopefully in time you will give us another opportunity to redeem ourselves. With kind regards, Cecconi’s at The Ned
Shocking shocking and shocking
I had to pour my own wine all night and there was no water available. There was no salt and pepper on the table and the water was the worst I have even witnessed.
Our main course was like a old leather shoe and the desert was very poor.
Fabulous restaurant with very attentive and professional staff. Food delicious!
Great for a special occasion or work lunch. Despite the size and grandeur of the venue the service was personal and flexible, with each dish we’ll-put together and delicious.
A great place for dinner on a Sunday night in the City of London.
It was a lovely lunch. We ran out if time at our table so moved to the bar for dessert, which was fine. After we finished our meal and paid the bill (which they added 12.5% service on, not 10%) we got two drinks, which they added another £3 on for service!! Feeling we were being ripped off by the service charges tainted a lovely lunch.
Excellent service. We were there celebrating a 40th birthday and they went out of their way to make the evening a celebration. From front of house to waiters and everything in between.
Poor food quality - dry meat, dry veg.
Tables too close together
Nice breakfast at Cecconis, eggs were very fresh, enjoyed it.
Booked a table for four at 4pm expecting to have coffee for an hour. Arrived and got told they don't do tables just for coffee and could only accommodate us at the bar i.e. stools in a line which are good for a group discussion. The bit that really annoyed me is the size of the place and the number of empty tables meant they could easily have accommodated us but the lady at the desk thought it best to tell us to go elsewhere... so we did.
Good atmosphere and location, but food was very average and overpriced in this part of the Ned.
I gave 4 stars out of 5 only because a bottle of still water costs £5 which is extreme.
Amazing food and drink at the Sunday feast and a lovely atmosphere and the service was excellent
I would just say it was quite a squeeze to get passed the tables to the buffet so I would remove one table to make it more comfortable for the customer.
Just a wonderful experience at a very reasonable price. Delicious food, just the right amount of options and optimum, chilled vibe. Will keep coming back. Highlight: floor manager/head waiter, who made some changes to enable us to keep the table for longer than the scheduled time frame. Thank you.
Brilliant venue, great atmosphere, ambience and staff. All the food was nice but not spectacular but was still a great restaurant experience
We love The Ned and have been to the other restaurants. The device was excellent but the food just ok considering the cost. Sweet potato and fried cabbage doesn’t really go with Burrata so poor choice on my part. The flavour of the sauce on the crab ravioli overpowered the crab. Great cocktails though
biggest drawback was that I requested the bill twice and waited for 15-20mins before deciding to walked over to the counter to pay. What made this more disappointing was that the restaurant was not particularly busy either.
If you like big, loud, noisy and dark this place is for you.
Good food though, if expensive.
It’s not my kind of place but a beautiful building and happy to have experienced once but not twice.
