Cecconi's Pizza Bar
We had a pre-theatre lunch so the restaurant was quiet, which was fine. Food was excellent and freshly prepared. The truffle arancini was outstanding; the best I have tasted outside of Italy. Staff were really friendly and the service was excellent. I will definitely be returning. Great value for money.
Good offers for lunch and during their happy hour. I ordered a Grey Goose Le Fizz and my friend had a Dark and Stormy. Both cocktails were mixed well and we didn’t wait very long for them to arrive. We had the sausage and fennel pizza and bolognese. You won’t get better wood fired pizza than at Cecconi’s! This is by far one of the best pizza places in Soho! We’ll definitely be be back! It does get busier around 6pm so make sure you book a table in advance.
We had a good experience with central location and food tasty. However, staff were rushed off their feet and we had to prompt them for drinks and food several times. Noisy environment so bear in mind.
Nice ambience and service was good. Loved the courgette fritti but thought the pappardelle was a bit under al dente and too chewy. The pizzas on the other tables looked fab and big
It’s fantastic. Really great atmosphere, service and value.
Pleasant experience with great service and a chef who went out of his way to source some gluten free pasta for my daughter. A little noisy with unnecessarily loud music being played so had to shout to make ourselves heard.
Super cheap and good, friendly service, but the music was really too loud for a lunch, it was impossible to chat and it was only 5:30pm. I love this place for a quick bite for lunch but it is so different to the other Cecconi’s (like the ones in Mayfair and at the Ned).
Really fantastic value for money, and a great location with very friendly and lovely staff. Only thing is it's super noisy, so tricky to hear anyone sitting more than a seat away
Great service and good food.
Fabulous, well-priced food and drink. Only complaint was it was very, very noisy for a meal, more like eating in a disco! Would have been fine if just for drinks. Despite that, we will return!
Very enjoyable evening - food and service very good, however it was very loud due to music and chatter.
Diner was good, i wish i had a bit more mozzarella on my pizza. The ambiance is fun, if you like to scream at the person sitting right next you, go ahead. Truthfully the place was good but its very very noisy with the music that isnt that loud its just that the sound proofing needs work.
Tried here on a whim as was looking for a cool pizza restaurant pre theatre - we weren't disappointed, especially as the cocktails are £5 between 3pm-6pm. Pizzas were tasty and the ambience in the restaurant is great - lively and cool music.
The food is very tasty with sharing of small dishes, pasta and pizza encouraged so you can try a bit of everything. The cocktails are also great and good value given the location in Soho. The only negative is the service, the servers are a bit blasé, there was no one to great us as we arrived so we just took a seat and service generally is quite chaotic.
All in all, it's a great venue for a group for dinner. It's a lively restaurant with loud music and a good atmosphere.
My food was delicious, but the pasta portion was so much smaller than my colleagues eating pizza or salad. I ate in half the time, it was disproportional.
The music volume was really uncomfortable for a working lunch and this is the perfect location for us to eat with clients.
The wait staff was quite slow and inattentive, after we'd eaten they tried to give us a whole new round of pizzas which were clearly not for us. We had to chase for the bill.
This was a shame as food did taste very good and location is brilliant.
Lovely evening, very tasty & delicious April spritz!
Service was appalling. Forgot about one of our orders and then waited for coffees for over 30 minutes. The waiter also didn’t understand the difference between £13.40 and £13.50 when paying and charged my friends more than they should have paid. Never again going back there. Waste of time and money.
It was very good, however, my friend had the small pizza which was served on a metal plate with paper underneath. Very difficult to eat with knife and fork!
The noise was unbearably loud - more of a bar or nightclub than a restaurant. This restaurant devalues the Cecconi’s brand.
Spaghetti carbonara went back as too salty - but a replacement dish was taken. We had to ask for a glass of wine three times. Chaotic staff.
Wonderful service and the food is so tasty! The restaurant is pretty loud with fun music, so great if you like that sort of thing. Such reasonable prices for excellent food. Would highly recommend!
Great value food and drink, especially during 3-6. Unfortunately had to wave down the waiters a few times to actually get served. Quite a few people were trying to place their order at the bar because no one was serving the tables
We ordered almost all the starters, everything was delicious apart from the burrata, that balsamic vinegar on top ruined everything:( and parmigiana was very dry..
This was a quick pre-theater dinner and surprisingly good and surprisingly efficient. The server was totally on it, food came out well paced and in plenty of time to get us to the show on time. The entire meal was delicious. Will absolutely visit again before our next show.
We were very happy with the pizzas and cocktails. Service was swift. Highly recommend Cecconi’s.
We waited for half an hour for someone to approach us to take our order. 45 minutes later (bearing in mind the reservation is for 1.5h only), we had to approach the waiter ourselves.
He didn't really listen to what we ordered and certainly didn't write anything down so a wrong order ended up arriving at our table half an hour later. He kept coaxing us to have more drinks and wasn't even aware that there was an alcohol free selection on the menu. All in all unhelpful and stressful ordering experience.
When the bill arrived, we had to ask for it to be corrected, twice.
Great place for food pre-theatre or just cheap and easy drinks and pizza by Cambridge Circus.
Buzzy diffusion version of the famous Cecconis is a great addition to the Soho dining scene. Ideal for a speedy meal with friends, service was excellent and food quickly served and super tasty and fresh. With wine and 3 courses bill came to just over £25 per head which was really good value for the quality and location. Will definitely be back.
Absolutely delicious pasta, great atmosphere, excellent value. Amazing.
Really enjoyed an early dinner at Cecconis. Quiet on arrival but buzzing by 6pm. Super food, attentive service and the live music was perfectly judged. Excellent all round.
Booked via Cecconi’s website (ie OpenTable), marking the occasion as a special occasion (birthday) and requesting a particular area of the restaurant to sit. We arrived on time at 4.15 on Saturday to an empty restaurant and were greeted whilst our reservation was looked up. The server clearly didn’t read any reservation notes from the booking and placed us in a dark corner. On prompting for a lighter table we were moved. Service was poor throughout. We were served by 4 different people over our dinner for 2. It was apparent staff weren’t coordinating with each other - examples include the wrong dishes being put in front of the wrong person, being asked twice about ordering (after we ordered) and no followup during main course to check if we wanted more drinks, to offer parmesan for our pasta or to check if everything was okay.
Food was excellent and ambience inside good, but all was overshadowed by poor service and a laughable 12.5% (optional) service charge added to your bill by default. When asked to remove the service charge we still weren’t asked if everything was as expected with our visit. Whether for a birthday or a general meal I’d expect to feel looked after given Cecconi’s higher price point. We all have choices where we spend our money for special occasions. I’d return for convenience dinners, but not special events
Good atmosphere for a business meeting
We really enjoyed ourselves and appreciated not being bothered too frequently so that we could enjoy our meal and conversation at length. There was no pressure at all to finish.
I personally found the music a little loud which made it difficult to hear my friends.
The food was good, starters especially. Bill came to £150 for three of us (no pudding), and we had two bottles of wine.
