Far too crowded! They fit the four of us on a table that can barely hold two. The place was heaving with far too many tables on top of each other. Our dishes couldn’t even fit on our table and the food was honestly very bland. I really wouldn’t go back. The place was manic and the staff, while very kind and smiley, just couldn’t keep up or even move between the tables!
Really great place, fantastic service. Super busy when I was there but the service was excellent. Very efficient and attentive.
Was pretty disappointed, staff were very pleasant but food was pretty bland and uninspiring. Pasta was good but the burrata and pizza was not good. They seemed pretty shortstaffed, no offer of dessert or check backs on food or drink etc. Such a shame as used to love Cecconis.
Terrible service. Once we had our food we wanted more drinks and were totally ignored for about 30 mins by which we had obviously finished our meals we gave up and got the bill. They weren't busy either. Shame.
Service was sketchy, my order was lost and by time my pizza arrived the rest of my party had almost finished eating.
I think this restaurant has gone down in standards, it felt a bit scruffy
Gréât atmosphère and food. Superb music in there!
Brilliant service, excellent food
Excellent service with great customer service. Lovely pizza. Will definitely will return
Never fails for an all round lovely experience! Staff are always so friendly, the service is so good and the food is 10/10.
Pizzas are fab, second visit here although this time was between Harry Potter shows so slightly quicker. Always great
Honestly just Waw. I don’t tend to write reviews but couldn’t not. I tried to leave a nice tip say thank you and they refused to take it saying they the service charge is more than enough. The employees was very welcoming and extremely well mannered. My girlfriend and I both got a pizza and both said it was the best we have ever had, I’m the typically guy that gets starter, main and desert. I only got the pizza as struggled to finish it but it was so nice I pushed myself and forced it down haha. Honestly can not recommend enough just so please I chose this place for a very lovely date.
Service was chaotic and food was below average for the price . Had to ask three times for the bill. Will not be coming back.
Table was booked for 1945, had to wait for 1 hour for table. Not offered any drink or reduction on bill. Ridiculously busy, staff did their best but honestly what is the point in booking?
Quite expensive for what it is in the end. Tables are very close together so you don’t have much space for yourself. Nice decoration and waiters very friendly and helpful.
I was so disappointed because I love Cecconi's Mayfair and wanted to try their other restaurants. It was so unbelievably loud I couldn't even hear myself think, let alone my friend who I was trying to catch up with. I arrived early for my 7pm booking but was asked to wait at the bar for 20 minutes before being seated. The service was really not up to standard for a London restaurant with the kind of prices it charges. The food was ok - but really nothing special, unfortunately. And then at 8:30 we were given the bill even though we had just finished our meal and still wanted dessert. I understand that we were only booked for 1.5 hours, however, we were only seated closer to 7:30 rather than the 7pm we were booked for - this was not our fault. It is a real shame because I was so excited and I love the Cecconi's brand but I feel this experience really let it down!
Great place and delicious food however the table was too small for 5 people. Looking forward to going back
Fantastic service, great atmosphere
The pizza is always good but the place is just chaos. There are too many people crammed in. There are people standing around the bar waiting for their tables but knocking into your table. It’s hard to get around the crammed tables to get to the toilets. Just avoid at peak times.
The service staff seem to be very efficient and working hard.
Avoid at peak times.
The pizzas are great, but the salad and pasta was rather disappointing, salad not mixed together served on a very small plate so very hard to mix it up without it falling in the table and just felt very lazy way of serving it. Pasta same a rather small portion for the price and all we could see was a pile of shells just did not look appetising. On a positive note great ambience .
We booked the restaurant to eat after a show at the Prince Edward Theatre. It was very busy, good atmosphere and the staff were great and I can definitely recommend the pizza.
Horrible service, borderline laughable. We were a table of 6 squeezed into a small table by the door when there was a booth available. I made the reservation 3 weeks in advance and we had to wait 15 minutes to get moved to a smaller table behind a walk in.
All of our food was brought out at once even though we requested it was staggered so there was enough space. Instead staff let us keep plates and bottles on the floor.
Staff forgot plates, napkins, glasses, and avoided eye contact because they knew the seating arrangement was horrible. Staff was rude and condescending, very unprofessional. Sort your bookings out and train your staff properly.
Not overly impressed. Only good thing was it was right opposite the theatre.
The food was amazing and also the service. Just a shame there was a very loud lady across from us who we could hear through out. Also not keen on having the service charge added directly to the bill.
Too noisy for my standards, we had to wait for 20min before we could sit down, food came super fast though which was appreciated.
Sound level is too high
I was recommended this place by a friend and unfortunately it didn't reflect the expectation I had. The table was right by the stairs and so every time someone came up or down we were either bumped into or overheard the many arguments and prep happening behind the scenes between manager and staff. The service was poor - I kept having to ask for things, like water and for our order to be taken. The pizza itself was good but the drinks weren't fairly priced and it seemed to lack the basic tools that make a good restaurant and service. Overall, I wouldn't return.
Diabolical service. Great pizza. Ridiculously overpriced. Never again. An insult to Cecconi’s Mayfair.
Buzzy environment and great pizza. Friendly staff.
Loved it. Super buzzy Soho Italian. Took kids for early dinner.
Don’t book this place! Terrible restaurant! Despite the booking we had to wait 15 minutes for our table, there was only 1 waiter for the entire room. Cleaning was the bear minimum. We ordered some pizzas and the £9 bufala was the same size of a slice of normal pizza, while for £3 extra pound you could get a normal pizza, but due to the lack of service available of course we didn’t know. Will never go back! There are many other places better that this is london
Great energy, but a bit too loud. Food is great!! Lovely for a more chill dinner with friends. Pizzas are amazing and good selection of wines and cocktails. Considering it’s London: very good quality-price!
It was just too loud
I went to Cecconi’s to meet a friend who was over half hour late. I was sat at the bar and the bartender , Ismael ( if that’s the right spelling ) has been taking me company.
Really nice and friendly guy. Cocktails were good, I asked for a cocktails that wasn’t on the menu but he managed to make it!
I had calamari and pizza and they were delicious.
Just one bad thing: the ladies toilet were a mess and in one of them the flushing wasn’t working .
I will anyways go back again!
The service was abysmal which really ruined the meal for us. Waiter took our started before we were finished them, we stopped them and they put it back down. They then bought the mains out before we had finished the starters/before taking them away. Took ages to give us a bill/take payment. The food was okay - zucchini fries were soggy, arancini was lovely.
Average pizza, and below par pasta. Multiple better places to go in soho and the rest of London . Wouldn’t bother.
Food was lovely but the music was way too loud, very difficult to have a conversation with people sitting across the table from you
Food was ok, although a small menu. Service was good. Very very noisy thou, not really good for children. Average London prices. Will not be going here again.
Ordered two pizzas and they both looked and tasted wonderful. Came in at a busy time but we were well looked after. Food came promptly which was great as we were between shows at the Palace Theatre. Would definitely visit again if visiting the theatre.
Staff were lovely and food was good. Ladies toilets were not up to standard and restaurant was cramped. Considering rising cases I was very surprised by the lack of distancing between tables.
