The Celebrity Indian Restaurant was originally a French-styled venue back in the 1980’s and the conception of local councillor Mr Kenneth Hardyman.
The restaurant was a regular jaunt for renowned celebrities of the 80's such as Bob Monkhouse, Benny Hill, Alan Wicker, Les Dawson and Clive James to name but a few.
Most recently it was known as the Celebrity Balti when the famous Balti cuisine of Ladypool Road was introduced to Broad Street.

Placed at the center of the nightlife of Birmingham but very quiet and elegant. Great well-balanced Indian food. Friendly service but not fast

A good Indian place in central Birmingham.
The service was very good.
The food was really good and tasty too.
I tend to avoid lamb when I go to Indian restaurants but this place had cooked it so well.
