The setting at Céleste is superb - a richly decorated dining room, naturally illuminated during day by a domed glass roof, whilst seductively aglow under the softly lit chandeliers in the evening. It is a scene that transforms constantly throughout the day. As the light changes, so do the guests; from breakfast time to lunch to afternoon tea and dinner, it’s a beautiful and fascinating spectacle.

My husband and I have eaten at Celeste several times before and this time we took advantage of a deal comprising three courses from their menu du jour and a glass of champagne. I think the restaurant interior is beautiful and very conducive to relaxing dining. Table service was impeccable and the sommelier was very helpful in discussing which wines paired well with our different courses. The wines themselves were expensive, but excellent and the food was made using simple ingredients cooked extremely well. We both thoroughly enjoyed each of the courses and thought overall that the menu was very well balanced. We had a really enjoyable evening and look forward to dining at Celeste again.
Very nice occasion and good value.
We went for the special set lunch, it was not michelen star quality, over expensive but the service was impeccable
I have to start by saying I expected more. However, this was on 1/1 2019 so it might be ” the reason” it wasn’t what I/we expected?
Would I recommened Celeste on the food? No, not at this time, no. Is it worth the money? No. It isn’t. Not only this is on the higher pricelevel- the absolutely ridiculous service charge would def require more from Celeste.
Ended our evening in the cigarrlounge, or should I say smokingarea? No. Im sorry, yet again.. you would expect more when you think of a british classic..
Very good. Dining room is lovely with lots of natural light. Food very tasty. Staff friendly.
Gorgeous room, amazing service and delicious desserts; Starters and mains were ok/good but not excellent; Loved the place overall but not fully convinced on value for money
We came here to celebrate my mother’s 70th birthday. Upon seating we were handed the prix fixe menu (3 courses). I remember seeing more menu options online so I asked if they had any other menu options, but I was told this was it. While the food was good, it by no means met my expectations for the evening, let alone exceeded them. To be fair, the service was great, the people were lovely. I did notify the manager at the end of what happened and he offered to do something to fix it, but it was late and we had an early flight to catch in the morning so decided to pass. Shame as it was our last night in London. The London restaurant scene has come a long way in the last 10 years. Not sure this would make it on my list of places to come back to.
The food and the service where very good.
Outstanding customer services !!
This starred Michelin restaurant is awesome. The food is delicious and perfectly cooked. I recommend to let them pair the wine with the food because the selection was good (and I am French so kind of fussy). The service is amazing with friendly and discreet people.
Needless to say, it is a perfect experience. I have visited other starred restaurant and this one definitely deserves it.
Wonderful food with great attentive service in a lovely setting. Highly recommend.
My wife and I took our 8-month old baby. We found this restaurant to be baby and pram friendly. They were very accommodating and we found the service outstanding. The food was delicious and very well presented. We took the 5-course tasting menu with a wine flight, and we found that they did a great job with the pairing. The venue was also very peaceful and the decor was stunning. I highly recommend the restaurant for other families who enjoy their fine dining as it is a perfect venue for all.
I truly enjoyed my dinner. The service and environment both was fascinating. The valet service was excellent. I would like to take this opportunity and send best regards to Mr Josef at the restaurant and Bell man at the front door.
A fantastic place, great food, great service, great setting.
A wonderful experience with excellent service, food and atmosphere. We will definitely visit again. Loved it. Apart from one noisy and unruly family it was perfect.
Very nice lunch
3 courses with a glass of Champagne for £45, for lunch on a Saturday at 1pm. The menu was delicious and well presented, the food not too heavy nor too light. Importantly it was also not overly complicated, which many places seem to be, and instead elegant. We had the wine pairing and thought the wines were perfectly paired and worth the money. The room is beautiful. It was very quiet at the start, only two other tables, however, by the end of our meal at around 3pm the room quickly filled with people having afternoon tea.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is breathtaking and the service was second to none. However, the scallops to start was bland and underwhelming. The main course were two burnt over cooked awful pieces of duck with mini purées around it. The dessert was delightful, however, I would not return and frankly very disappointed as I had high hopes to be a frequent visitor.
Very quiet restaurant - we were first in - but did slowly fill up. We had the fixed price lunch menu which included a glass of champagne. Food was very good -the amouse-bouche and bread were excellent and the menu quite different and original but very tasty. Nice staff. Tables wide apart so great for a tete a tete.
Found this restaurant by chance while looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion. They had a 3 course special with champagne that was quite a good value and decided to book it.
The hotel and restaurant is simply classy and elegant. I was impressed by the quietly lavish decor and the super high ceilings that was actually a conservatory.
The service and the food was excellent and the courses were wonderful with each having substance and quality. Mind you, the portions are small but I wasn't expecting large portions in this type of an establishment. The bread and butter was exquisite and created a nice start as well as the canopy that was served before the bread. They even surprised us with a small extra dessert to celebrate the special occasion which was a nice touch. I will recommend this place to anyone who enjoys a quiet classy evening. Bonus was the live piano music, it was beautiful!
Great atmosphere and service. Superb delicious food beautifully presented. Good wine.
Excellent. The food was delicious. We felt a little rushed, with new courses arriving while we were still chewing the last mouthful of the previous course.
Very fancy decorations, excellent live piano music during dinner
It was our anniversary and everything was just perfect. The staff made it so special! The little anniversary written desert was such a beautiful and unexpected touch! Thank you.
Classy place, excellent service! Perfect tea time experience in London.
Spectacular restaurant. Exquisite atmosphere. gourmet food. Extremely attentive waitstaff. Delicious desserts. We loved the experience of our dinner.
Unbeatable 3 course menu this month
Wonderful evening from start to finish. Setting is formal and welcoming as you would expect. All personnel from host to table and wine service were professional and personable. Went with 4 course menu option and selected a bottle of wine from extensive list. Wine steward/sommelier was helpful and engaging in discussing our selection as well as other wine topics over the course of the evening. Host came by the table later in the evening to ensure all was well. Table service also exceeded expectations in taking extra time to discuss both food and wine. Even personnel attending to another group stopped to greet and welcome us. Next on to the food. Amuse bouche consisted of 3 interesting and tasteful items: snail truffle, vegetable tartar and chilled cucumber & coconut soup. All 4 courses on the menu to follow displayed refined and skillful technique with some contemporary twists. Enjoyed both flavors and presentations of each dish. Well done proper evening with no missteps as everything was in alignment from Michelin star rating to exceptional food and service. Management should be proud of all personnel at Celeste.
Very elegant dining room with very good and friendly service. We had the set menu but unfortunately they ran out of squid and only had vegtarian starters which although still nice, is a downside considering the value. All dishes were very tasty though.
Beautiful and worthy eating.Especially suitable for couple.
Really wonderful food delivered by professional, attentive staff in a beautiful setting. Perfect way to celebrate our wedding anniversary.
Very romantic for anniversay
I went here at the last day of London. I had really nice food and nice decorations. It was amazing !! Personally, if i wear more fancy, i would be happy to take more photos.
Very romantic decoration, delicious food
The place is so breath taking , food is okay , everything is bit salty .
