Charm and patina has left this neighbourhood favorite along with the old manager. The place feels a tiny bit more sterile and the music wrong wrong wrong. We were devoted clients and are deeply saddened. The old manager's jovial welcome and the athmosphere he created will be missed.

I booked Cepages for four of us expecting a nice little bistro, but got a truly fabulous meal. Beginning with the wine list, champagnes from small vineyards, wines from unexpected regions of France - all clearly carefully chosen (the list is not massive, but it has plenty of choice), and the prices quite reasonable. Started with ham, sausage and roasted camembert (which was wonderful, but could be strongly flavoured for some), then coq au vin (outstanding), the lamb, stunning Brussels sprouts in a wine and honey reduction, and the outstanding Pommes Dauphines - so good we ordered a second bowl. Shared the Opera and crumble for dessert, with a bottle of Côteaux du Layon. A wonderful discovery to which I shall certainly return.

This place is small (reserve!) but really charming and the food is exceptional. You really feel like you’re in a French bistro in the middle of London. If we lived here, we’d come often! The staff could have been nicer and more engaged, but...you know...it IS French. 😉

Really disappointed service, I normally love this place but Eric and the usual team were not in. We were not greeted, there was confusion about my booking and food was taken long to arrive. When we asked for our second course we were given the bill by mistake!

Great local restaurant! Perfect during the week as it gets packed on the weekend. Excellent wines and the food is delicious - you want to keep ordering more of the small plates. It can be too loud for oldies so don't bring your 75+ mother here for a special meal. Wonderful to have such great food on our doorstep.

The restaurant and the food were nice, however, the service was not good, we had to ask for bread three times and two times for butter, they also didn't offer a smile at all.

I came here for a date night. Instantly I was impressed with the atmosphere and ambience. It was a lovely romantic setting. Every dish we ordered was packed with flavour, as was the wine. The staff had very good knowledge of their wine menu and were able to make recommendations based on taste. One of them could even identify our wine just by smelling it. Would highly recommend to anybody and will be going back. Quite expensive but absolutely worth it for a special occasion.

We were here for first time. Ambiance is outstanding. Great wines, superb food. Excellent menu. Tapas style. Small plates adds up to a large bill. But it was all worth it. Roasted Camembert was the highlight. Duck was cooked to perfection. Will defiantly visit again. Sorry don't like taking photos of the food. But its all looked full of finess.

It is the 2nd time I go to Cepage. A real discovery. Great wine, great service, c good food (I think now I had have all the menu). Notables are the sea bass, the langoustines, the onglet & the charcuterie board. This time we were 2 couples w children. My only negative is that there are only 2 tables to accommodate larger groups. And ours was a bit cramped. Fortunately we were w children. Also Friday night was boisterous which made conversation difficult at times. Ideally when it is so crowded already they should not allow people also on the bar. Other than those minor comments it is a great place to go.

It’s a nice little neighbourhood restaurant with very good French food. I just wished the management would invest in proper tables and chairs. French school chairs from the seventies are charming indeed but not the most comfortable type of seating and some of the tables are just ridiculously small.
