Chai Naasto - Beckenham
As soon as you step into Chai Naasto, you are immediately transformed to the streets of India. Tables and booths are housed in a train cabin style seating and then our mezzanine level welcomes you all the way to Bollywood. Here we can seat groups of 6 or more, ideal for parties.
We loved the food and atmosphere. The service was good to the extent of food coming out. But very appalled by the short table time to eat as others were waiting for their table next. Very rushed and rude at times.
Had a lovely dinner with my wife at Chai Naasto last Saturday night. Not your usual Indian food, but it was fresh and delicious..will definitely be back!
The chicken are the cheap cuts. For what they charge the meat should be of a higher standard.
Cushioned seating would be lovely and we felt a little squashed in with the tables too close to the next one.
Been here 3 times. Enjoyed the experience but would head to a local curry house next time.
After being to the restaurant before my expectations were high
it was a Tuesday night and very quiet we ordered food and it came very quickly and most of the dishes were ok the chicken tikka was extremely dry and unedible which was return to the kitchen and the item removed from the bill
I felt very disappointed in the whole night after having such a good time before
This is a real hidden gem. Amazing food and great service all for a reasonable price. I’ve had takeaway and eaten in and both were just as good. Would definitely recommend!
As ever the food was excellent but the new menu is less interesting than in the past. More starter and main rather than tapas style.
Staff were too busy and sadly a very roudy group of diners ruined the ambience.
Superb once again!
Brought mum this time who absolutely loved her birthday lunch, and she will LSO be coming back again soon!
Thanks again to front of house staff and chefs!
Such a great place!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Place is amazing, hidden gem! Food was incredible and the service was matched. Our server was very funny and helpful. We were planning our next trip half way through our meal. If you haven't been.... go
Great food! great staff! great ambiance!
decor, food and staff are all vibrant and thoroughly entertaining.
We came here on my birthday and it was a wonderful meal. Even my boyfriend’s Dad who isn’t usually a fan of spicy food loved it! The food was delicious and featured dishes that you don’t often see on the menu. We’ll definitely be back.
This place is awesome! Everything tastes amazing. Will return soon!
First time in Chai Nasto
Great service, quick and friendly, delicious food. Lovely decor and very chilled.
Will definately be back!
We dined last Friday and from start to finish we had a great time...the service was great as was the food, not a bad dish...love nanas curry!
Such a good restaurant...will return
Excellent... very different...just as good as last time!!
Never disappointed when we come here. Staff always friendly and happy, food amazing, great atmosphere
Always great food
Amazing quality the waitress just forgot some of our dishes so we waited and she thought we already had them .
Nice cheerful place and tasty food, my only bugbear was that the benches were a teeny bit too low for the table in our booth.
Great food - not too spicy but tasted authentic- friendly staff.
Only criticism was that it was too cold to completely relax, had to keep our coats on!
Awesome food and awesome service!!
Tucked away off Beckenham High street with good parking. Great food from good people always enjoy coming here. Quality service with a smile thanks.
Chai was cold..very cold. Shame as everything else was good. But bad chai spoils everything
Excellent mix of street food dishes. Very unique, something different and a good variation in dishes but a little7 expensive overall.
Shame really as the food was really good but would still recommend to friend's.
Food was really authentic and very tasty. Did come out quickly, but food got cold quickly too (not sure how this could be helped?).
Very poor service. We were placed in a corner we had to remind them to take our order, take things away, Bill, pay for bill. Waitress had poor attitude. Food was very good however with the poor service it is unlikely we will return
Love this restaurant and not been for a little while! Did not disappoint, food was lovely as ever, amazing flavours and love the dishes are that bit smaller so you get to try more!! Service was excellent and will be looking to go back very soon!!
Atmosphere was perfect, food was incredible. Will be back and will certainly recommend.
The selection of street food is delicious and like nowhere else. Service was prompt and pleasant.
Excellent service. Food was tasty and unique - different from the typical Indian cuisine. The downfall is the portions were very small and not good value for money.
I like this restaurant, it has a great atmosphere and ambience. I was a little disappointed with the food this time, the waitress didn't explain how the menu works, my dining companions hadn't been before. I was given crisps with my lamb dish, this did not complement the food at all, I had also eaten most of my food before my naan bread arrived
The chicken poutine, fried chicken, butter chicken (we like chicken), and deal, were excellent. Good kulfi, but the chopped nuts they put on the white chocolate samosas were rancid so spoiled the dish.
Overall, really great flavours, but expensive for the amounts of food you get.
We had a lovely meal, the only thing is i think you should advise people that the Indian tea comes with milk already in it. 2 of us have our tea black.
Good food and a fun place to eat. I would absolutely recommend the restaurant but it is expensive and service is hit and miss.
Never lets you down. Great place.
This is the second time I have been and I chose different dishes which were equally delicious. Booking was straightforward and arrangements made for one of our party who is a wheelchair user.
Beautiful food and a lovely environment. Very helpful staff although difficult to always get someone’s attention. Pricey but lovely food.
Excellent...unusual.....will return next time we're in London
Friendly welcome. Funny smell when entered though? (not of food). Warmed up when more people arrived. Good service food & atmosphere.
I’m not normally a fan of Indian food but this was lovely. I think the portion sizes are similar to tapas ..everything was beautifully spiced and some really different dishes making it hard to choose which is exactly what you want. Great service great value for money I would recommend it.
