Not that easy to find using OpenTable address, and not a high street location, but it was a good experience, food and wine was very good. This is not the many small dishes restaurant, you order and eat one main per person. It was very, very noisy from another party, but we were moved after some time to a more quiet corner, and I guess this was not an everyday experience, but x-mas party season.
We had prawn tandoori & prawn soup for starters - both were delicious. Then we had green Thai curry and beef curry with sticky rice for main. Curries were divine. Rice was a solid blob after 5 mins - very very heavy and solid. Dessert we had creme brulee- texture was nice, flavour was not. Generally a bit pricey, nice ambience, very noisy atmosphere so you can't have a conversation. Staff are lovely. Prawn crackers are so nice. Overall a good experience- and close to the station!
Fabulous place. Great food. Good vegan selection. Lovely atmosphere
Love this place, have been here twice in 3 weeks! Fantastic food and staff! No ask is too big!
The food was very good but a bit expensive, around 18-19£ for a main.
Our third time at this cosy little place with ourstanding food. We werent too keen on some of the desserts but the rest was amazing. We will be back
Delicious food, especially soft-shell crab and duck. Only negatives: noise and left with all clothes smelling of cooking oil.
Didn't realise we only had a table for hours and boy, do they make sure you are up and out in 2 hours! The food wasn't that great either. Overall very disappointed.
We sat on the mezzanine level up a small flight of stairs which only accommodates a table for two which was private and cosy. Staff were super attentive and we must've had each person visit us at least once. Food was fresh and beautifully presented. Scallops were just done with the perfect chilli apple accompaniment. Soft shell crab was light and cooked well. Duck in rosti was a meal in itself! We could only accommodate two mains, my usual favourite king prawn green curry with three jumbo prawns is always a highlight. The sirloin steak with chilli was cooked to our request. Although we only had the table for 2 hours, the staff were able to seat us at another table until closing time. With the kind complimentary port at the end of the meal, it was the perfect place to catch up. Apologies to the staff as my friend likes to banter! I will definitely be back and highly recommend this hidden treatise of a restaurant within minutes of London Bridge station.
Although the food was good, I was extremely disappointed that the place our party of 3 on a small table for two, especially when we had said this was a birthday dinner.
This place never stops to provide an amazing service and a great food combined with fantastic customer service! Highly recommended!
Every plate that arrived was simply delicious and the service was very quick whilst being patient with us trying to make our minds up on what to order!
We’re definately going back and recommend it to friends
Complimentary banana bread and spring roll was a nice treat as soon as we had been seated. Massaman chicken curry was the standout dish . Duck starter fine but slightly underwhelming. Enjoyable evening but very expensive - bill came to eighty pounds for the 2 of us and we only had tap water to drink. Service charge steep. Would return though.
This is a wonderful restaurant. The food tastes wonderfully fresh and vibrant, and is an interesting mix of ideas and dishes from Thailand and Malaysia. The ambience is relaxed but interesting, and the service both friendly and efficient.
I could eat their beef rendang every day ❤️
A disappointment and a feeling of going back to the 80's. Ordinary, rather tasteless, seafood with green curry. Tired service.
Delicious veggie options as well as meat mains. Intimate tables and lovely decor.
Excellent from start to finish. As a party of six we were seated in the small private dining room down stairs. This was perfect as it was quiet and allowed for good conversation. Service was attentative without being obtrusive. Food was both authentic, while at the same time creative. With two courses, drinks each and service, coming to less than £50/head also very reasonable for the quality and location. We will be returning.
The food was amazing. They served all plates pretty quick. It took a long time to take the order for desserts though but we were having a nice time anyway. Staff was very friendly and they accommodated us in a very small room with other three tables in the basement which was much appreciated because the main dining room was a bit noisy. Overall a very nice experience. I’ll definitely come back. 🙂
Consistently good thai / malay food - some of the usuals from that part of the world with an upmarket / interesting twist on all the dishes, and some interesting flavour combinations as a result. Service was attentive but not oppressive. Had some excellent and good value wine too...
The food was delicious but by ordering a starter and a main plus rice with the curry we had far more food than we could eat and sadly had to leave some. However, overall it was a very enjoyable meal.
My second visit to this lovely restaurant. The food was excellent and the menu full of interesting and delicious sounding options. Both I and my colleague enjoyed our choices. Highly recommend.
First visit here and was not disappointed. We were seated in the little attic balcony area that only seats 2. Would make an excellent intimate dining experience!
Cosy restaurant with authentic decor.
Worth a visit
The best Thai food in London. Amazing food and service. You won’t be disappointed!
The food was great and we've already made plans to revisit the restaurant!
The food was really good but it was very overpriced £19.95 for a prawn curry! The ambience/decor was pleasant. A nice touch was a complimentary banana bread with spoon of duck/chicken dish.
Excellent food every time. Great service and a really tasty plate of complimentary appetisers.
Super and varied menu choice including Veggie & Vegan. (I had the sizzling beef with sticky rice this time which was very good).
Plenty of beer & wine options too.
We have been a few times now and will be back again - soon I hope.
Very authentic Thai & Asian cuisine.
The restaurant is very cosy, almost to the point of feeling a bit crammed, but nice.
Service is good, only problem we had was the 2-hout timeslot assigned, that was upheld to the minute. Otherwise we would have stayed longer. Food choice is good, nice food. I wouldn't say I was blown away, but then I have lived in South East Asia for nearly a decade, so am particularly fussy with Oriental food.
Fantastic venue and outstanding food. The staff at Champor were incredibly accommodating and went above & beyond to make our night an unforgettable experience. It was my friends birthday and they managed to make the evening that bit more special by providing us with the private dining room down stairs, bringing a dessert with a candle and ensuring we had everything we needed. You pay for what you get and the food was the best Thai food that I have tasted in London. This is now my new favourite place.
Great food, excellent service and lovely atmosphere.
I had really nice experience, I’m definitely going to come back !
Excellent restaurant with attentive staff who were considerate of food allergies. Very pleased with our visit and already planning a return.
This was the fourth time I've visited and once again it did not disappoint. Really interesting dishes with amazing flavours and the staff are welcoming and helpful.
Great food and vibe- it is a little pricey though.
Really good food, nice ambience and excellent service. Overpriced though, but would recommend highly
Authentic well presented food. My 13 year old son said duck satay was amazing. All the dishes we had were very tasty.
The food was lovely and where we sat was nice and cosy. However the staff try and push you out after 2 hours after leaving you with the dessert menu for 40 minutes without checking. One of the staff members was particularly surly as well even though we were in a secluded part of the restaurant and couldn’t grab their attention easily.
Tucked up a side street near Guys, from the outside it doesn't look spectacular, however as you enter the restaurant you find yourself in a cosy, tastefully decorated to theme restaurant. Tables are a little closely packed so may prove difficult for those with mobility needs, but otherwise well appointed and comfortable.
Menu was not extensive, but still provided a good selection of Malay and Thai dishes, each with multiple protein options. One particular note was they make their own curry pastes, so for veggie options, they use a curry paste that does NOT use fish stocks.
Food arrived in good time, and was to a very high standard, no complaints from any as to quality or to portion sizes.
Service was quietly attentive, even though the restaurant was starting to get busy.
Reasonable costs for the food, with average of £10-15 pp with drink.
All in all a nice lunch location, that we will be repeating in the future.
