Excellent food. Real quality. Good service and decent wine list. What's not to like
Introduced another friend to what is becoming my secret London restaurant. Quirky surroundings with efficient service coupled with great food. All the ingredients for a fabulous evening. We even had room for desserts and can highly recommend the chocolate chilli cheesecake! Separate menus for different but allergies impressed my friend who will be coming back!
We were put on a table at the back where all the waitstaff kept huddling round. Food was a bit bland
Love this place. Always buzzing, amazing aromas and the food is wonderful. We were reminded several
Times we only had table for two hours (we know!) but I guess they are so busy that want to make sure everyone is super clear on that point :)
Amazing food but we were stuck up on this elevated window seat which meant any time we wanted anything we had to go down and ask as they never came up to ask if we wanted to order food/any more drinks
Lovely food, more fusion than authentic Thai / Malay. I had the Beef Rendang and my partner the Massaman Lamb both of which were lovely, though rather expensive for what they were. Service was good. Quite a few passive aggressive signs around about leaving valuables which was a little off-putting...
Had a really nice meal here for my partners birthday, it was busy so slightly slow on service but nothing major, good food and drinks had a good time here.
Great service and food and all reasonably priced, would highly recommend
First and foremost, the food at Champor Champor is out of this WORLD! It was absolutely delicious, and the waiters were so helpful with their recommendations on what sides we should get, and how spicy things are... if they warn you it's spicy... they mean it! The only niggles we had were that we were seated right by the dumbwaiter (the food lift) and it makes a really annoying buzzing every time the food arrived. I think if you were sat on the other side of the restaurant you might not have heard it, but it we heard it every time and it was very grating. Other than that, and the standing customers trying to get a table, it was a lovely evening.
Try and book the table on the mezzanine level. It made the perfect setting for a special birthday meal. Starters of duck in roti was divine and scallops were topped off with crispy green apple with sharp chilli sauce. Main course do prawn and chicken thigh in green curry was impressive looking. Despite minimal sauce, it was actually enough for this sauce fiend. Service was attentive and friendly and the usually hot area was serviced with a fan so all good.
This was my second visit to Champor Champor in as many weeks and it did not disappoint! The food is fresh, flavoursome and substantial - perfect for a date, birthday, or just catching up with friends. Will keep recommending. Love the authenticity!
Very good quality food in a pleasant and unusually decorated dining room. Waiting staff disappeared for the second half of our meal and the price was on the expensive side, but all the dishes we had were excellent. Great for vegans and vegetarians!
Authentic flavours nice ambience and good location
Very nice food in an unusual setting. Good service too.
Small restaurant close to London Bridge station. Thai/Malay fusion
Service was friendly and prompt, decor in keeping with the food
The highlight was the food clearly made with care and attention the green curries prawn and chicken were excellent not your usual bowl of sauce rather a presentation of food with enough sauce to dip
Truly excellent meal highly recommended
Very tasty food and good wine. Not a lot to choose from on the menu but we were surprised at how tasty the food. I would recommend as overall the experience was pleasant.
Overall we really enjoyed our experience at Champor Champor! I had made a reservation and when we arrived we were seated in a cozy table for 2 on an upper level. That was a really nice touch! We had the grilled chicken in green curry, lamb shank, fried vegetables, and pad Thai. All dishes were amazing and very good! Authentic flavors and presented beautifully! We really enjoyed our meal and would visit again with friends!
I have eaten here twice before and on this visit would have given full marks except that when we arrived (party of 2 booked well in advance) we were shown to a very small room off the main restaurant with a few tables squeezed in on top of each other. Definitely not suitable for individual twosomes. I declined and immediately was offered a table in the main restaurant. Why could this not have been first offer? Then the sticky rice was not freshly cooked as it had gone 'yellow ' and was firmly stuck in one lump, very disappointing. My chocolate chilli cheesecake was certainly not as good as before because it didn't seem as fresh or 'crisp' as it should be. The starter and mains were delicious.
Amazing food and service ! Only complaint would be was that when we arrived for our booking they walked us to our table and asked ua to stand and awkwardly wait there for a few minutes whilst we waited for the current people to leave. Otherwise everything else was fab!
We really enjoyed our dinner here and the dishes were all very unique in the chefs own way. We started with the halouimi cheese and chips as starters and then ordered the Beef Endang and Massaman Chicken curry. Both dishes were really great and hide a nice blend of Indian spice with a hint of ginger. A bottle of Tempernillo went well with the meal and wasn’t so expensive as well. I would come here again leave some room for desert
Lovely restaurant with good atmosphere. Beautiful food and great service. We will definitely be back.
Food good, service less so. Toilet facilities are inadequate.
Amazing food. Had a great young guy serve us who was very friendly and warm.
Great food with friendly staff. Great place for a nice dinner.
Absolutely delicious food, especially the soft shell crab and prawn yellow curry. The only problem was that we only had 2 hours at the table which made it feel a bit production line and that we were being rushed. Also nowhere to wait inside and so the people on the shift after us were having to wait outside in the rain for their table. Overall though worth a trip as the food was really really good
Second time I’ve been. And again. Fabulous. Fabulous food and fabulous staff! Thank you for hosting us x
Good food and service.
Wonderful food and great service. We have eaten here many times before and will continue to.
Excellent service, if anything food delivered a little too quickly. Food also excellent - the 4 of us had different dishes and we all loved everyone else's; my wife thought hers the best she'd had for years. Tables a little small and quite close together and, for us older folks, noise level rather high. All the same, a meal and an evening to remember.
Fabulous food as always, a cut above typical Thai restaurant food. You pay more but it's worth it, especially if you're treating somebody, and by London standards it's almost a bargain. The service could have been quicker at times, but then the place was rammed when we were there. One small gripe: I understand no-shows are an issue for restaurants, but I had to confirm the booking by text, and by email, and by phone - is all of this necessary?
Foods were fantastic, and staffs were friendly and helpful.
Great food, great service - very accommodating to our changing needs. Did I mention great food...
It’s very expensive compared with similar Thai restaurants, but the food is worth it. Service a bit surly.
Great food and amazing service, kind and very friendly!
This place is always fantastic. Very consistent in food, service, and price. Glad to have Champor Champor in the neighborhood!
The food was delicious but I would have liked the veggie food to have a few more veggies on it. The price was overall decent for vegetarian/vegans. However, my meat/fish eating friends found theirs to be quite pricey. We got a private room which was nice - we didn’t ask for it which was a nice surprise.
Very busy restaurant, with a bubbly atmosphere. More unusual thai food options, definitely worth a visit. A bit more expensive than usual thai restaurants.
Really delicious food, with a good range of vegan options as well as meat and fish. Slightly slow service in terms of taking order, bringing the bill etc. But our food came quickly once ordered. Nice interior - good place for either a date or dinner with a group.
I'm not a fan of spicy food, so the waiter was really helpful in steering me through the menu. We all enjoyed our food and this is a restaurant I would happily return to.
Really good value for two courses with drinks.
