Food was great! Everyone that worked there was very friendly and made you feel at home.
It was Restaurant Week 2019 and the menu choices were spectacular. All 3 courses were delicious!
I wanted to like Charlie’s. I chose this restaurant based on great reviews. I ordered a rare prime rib dinner. My prime rib was medium well when it came out. It was getting late so I chose not to send it back. Disappointing.
The food quality does not justify the price. Food was lukewarm and not tasty. Stuffed sole was a tiny portion smothered in hollandaise sauce with chewy green beans and roasted red peppers that tasted like they came from a jar. Rice tasted like minute rice. I would not eat here again.
We actually ate there twice in our short 4 day stay in Lake George. The salad with the pecan encrusted chicken as well as the grilled chicken sandwiches were very good. Our servers Abby & Malik were very friendly and courteous. I'm sure we'll visit again on our next trip to the lake.
Overall excellent! Gabby our waitress was wonderful and great with our son too!!

We had to wait for 45 minutes beyond our reservation for a table. There were tables open prior to that time, but they would not seat us/2 people. On arrival, the host didn’t like that we had an open table reservation. They asked for my name and phone number, scrawled them on s scrap paper in no apparent order, and told me to remind them in 30 minutes bec they had no tables. There were a couple of tables for 2. The reservation is somehow not seen or recognized by them. We were exceptionally patient . We were finally seated after I approached them a few times to check, and finally pointed out multiple empty tables! Then, the kitchen was backed up. Our app came out on time but not our entrees. The waitstaff was apologetic and attentive. The host was apologetic but overwhelmed and confused.

My experience was amazing! I was so happy to have an upscale dinner in Lake George. The food was amazing and the service was beyond top notch. Our server Alyssa was by far one of the best servers I have ever had! Friendly, attentive, just a pure delight. I ate the shrimp and scallop risotto and it was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience at Charlie's! Alyssa is a true asset and Chef Thomas added the Seafood Risotto as his personal specialty for the summer season. It has been so well received that we will be keeping it on the menu all fall as well. I hope you are able to join us again soon.
This was our first time at Charlie’s and when we got there set us right away no wait. The waiter we had was awesome (Noah) he went above and beyond to make us feel welcome !

Dinner was OK, salmon average taste nothing special. The rice pilaf has too many hard pieces of rice and not much taste. Our waiter, Noah was excellent. For desert I had carrot cake and it was very good. Prices a little high.
The server Noah was great however it took forever to get out dinner. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we didn't get out of there until 945.
We had a great dinner at Charlie’s bar and kitchen. We were seated outside as asked with our 2 little kids and had great experience. Service was excellent! Would come back

I would highly recommend this restaurant. Food was delicious, but service was outstanding. Malik, our server could not do enough for us. He was busy, but was always asking if we needed something. He was a great waiter, and very attentive. All of the other employee were great as well, and operated as a highly effective team. At first I thought it would be okay due to it being in the Marriot, but we were happily surprised at the quality and service. Great job!

I'm not a complainer but this was the worst waiter I have had in years. Dirty wine glasses, order was wrong, salad served after the main course, etc. Screaming kids running around the dining never were addressed by staff. I spent $42 for a fillet that I ordered mid-rare and was well done. Very aggravating experience.

Great food, great service. I wish that the dinner menu was offered a bit earlier than 5pm, but the Lunch menu was great regardless.

Food was average, service was average. Hostess was very confused that we made a reservation on open table. Tourist restaurant.

The server was not efficient although she was pleasant. The staff did not plan or anticipate the July 4th crowd and therefore service, food and drink orders exceptionally slow. Poor planning on the staff of Charlie’s. The seafood risotto was badly undercooked. Have appropriate staffing requirements and better train your servers to keep an eye on their orders. The manager had to pick up the slack. I would not recommend your restaurant at all. It does not even come close to living up to the 5 star reviews.

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice. The service was poor. We never got our salads, when I asked for a refill on my wine the waitress took my glass before it was empty. When I got the bill the wine I was charged for wasn't the one I had asked for it, it was a more expensive one. While I understand it was 4th of July they seemed under staffed, only 3 wait staff.

Very disappointing experience. Rice tasted like it was days old and veggies were over cooked. Duck entree was ok. We told the server and he said “ I’ll let the kitchen know”. Shortly after one of the chefs came out and looked at us from across the room,as if to judge the veracity of our comments on our appearance. They ultimately took $10 off a $100 check.
Super friendly & accommodating staff, excellent food in a pleasant atmosphere. Fantastic!

Dined here during off season so restaurant was very slow, service was great, frozen mixed drinks were very good (margarita & strawberry daiquiri), the Saratoga chips made a yummy and interesting appetizer, seafood risotto was very good and filling, chicken Marsala was good but I have had better, vegetable of the day was very good (sautéed squash and zucchini), portions were good. I would eat here again if I was back in the area.
Worse than airplane food!! The $42 filet mignon was definitely cooked the day before and thawed on the grill! The duck breast’s fat wasn’t even rendered at all! Again- likely precooked then reheated in the oven! Everything food wise from beginning to end was horrible!! No taste and mediocre at best. The only saving grace was our sweet waitress! Who was very attentive and friendly! Always willing to pay for good food if it’s worth it- It killed us to pay the overpriced bill at the end! Never again!!
