So, if good food, wine and a stunning location is what you’re after, Charlotte Quay is the place for you!
Charlotte Quay is one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. On this occasion we went for the early bird menu, which is very good value. The food was delicious and the service was excellent.
Lovely food , ambiance and very pleasant staff.Great experience, will definitely be back 😀
we met with 3 friends for pre theatre show and menu at 6pm. Met by lovely waitress explained the menu and ordered food and wine. Gorgeous beef cheek starter and fab Sicilian wine, unfortunately the mains didn't arrive till 7pm after explaining show started at 730! The lovely waitress did give us a top up of free wine because of our delay and I must say the Cod was Devine. Pity we had to hurry off as gorgeous place. I will be back again for the 3rd time
We would have preferred a brighter table and did ask. We were given a window table but in a very dark area. The prawn pile piled were really overcooked. We had asked for the minimum butter but it was VERY buttery. Even though the dish was returned only half eaten no one enquired about it. The mains were very good. The scallop starter was find but very overpriced for 3 scallops. The tables in the bright space were still vacant when we left
Food was delicious and had lots of options. Staff were brilliant. Really attentive and pleasant. Beautiful spot for a meal looking out onto the Grand Canal - I will definitely need to visit again.
Wonderful typical Irish pub, everything nice, highly recommend
Food was amazing, so tasty. The service was excellent, our waitress was helpful and knowledgeable. Thanks
We were very highly impressed not only with our meal but the service was excellent as well.
Compliments to the chef's and floor staff.
Excellent service and food.
Very good all round. Would definitely go again.
It is a great place to go for a drink and dinner, you have a nice view over the basin and towards the theatre. Service and food were great, what do you want more?
A wonderful late Saturday afternoon lunch with friends; great table, food, wine & outstanding service! Can't wait to visit again.
From food to ambiance to hotel staff, everything is fabulous in this restaurant.
Every time i visit this restaurant with my wife , staff of this hotel tries their best to make my evening memorable. Special thanks to Anmarie.
As my local "eatery" Charlotte Quay ticks all the boxes. Convenient (and stunning) location, very friendly service, excellent food and good value. Charlotte Quay is the kind of place I enjoy going back to - where there is always a warm welcome.
Amazing guys , food is delicious as well as the view and the environment
It was my partners birthday and we had a lovely time ! The food and service was perfect and I had asked for a birthday dessert and they did not forget ! We will return !
Very good food and service. Slight confusion with the order but dealt with very well by the staff. Great views.
Great atmosphere and amazing staff. The service was really good and they were thoughtful making a surprise when they realized that we’re celebrating my friend’s birthday.
Excellent food(desserts fab) and great location for a pre-theatre bite to eat
lovely restaurant. Staff are so nice, we had a great time
Food was amazing, service was excellent cannot wait to go back again definitely my new favorite restaurant
This is the 2nd time I have eaten here just before a show in the Gaeity. I truly cannot fault the place. The food is excellent the staff are so helpful and courteous and the setting on the Quay, what's not to like. I think I will adopt this place as a regular for me. Just love it.
No real service today, very slow for been the o Kt two in the restaurant. Left sitting for ages, food was slightly incorrect to what we ordered. Which was disappointing as we were the only order in the restaurant at that time.
Lovely view, food was nice a tasty. Service was OK. The only issue was, that even though we ordered from the pre theatre menu, it took about 50 minutes to arrive. This a reservation at 6pm was too late for a 7:30 show.
The menu showed on this website isn't what was on the real one. In fact, the most affordable mains were not present on the real menu.
Therefore we spent way more than expected.
The waiter was also a bit pushy for tips.
But food was delicious. We really enjoyed it.
What a fabulous evening! The food was exceptional, the staff couldn't do enough to make us comfortable although they did forget my glass of wine which obviously caused some trauma after a long week! All dishes were well thought out, beautifully cooked and accompanied by delightful vegetables.
The only small fault I could possibly find was the cheese board was not great. A mild waxy cheddar, a pile of what looked/tasted like ricotta and some nice blue cheese with biscuits and a small pot of somthing sweet and sticky! The chef could've done so much more with local produce and added some veggies (celery, figs, even dull old grapes!)....
Otherwise a fabulous evening, thank you. Will definitely come back.
We had a lovely evening at Charlotte Quay. The food was really good and beautifully served. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The wine and Irish coffee were delicious. We enjoyed the view of the seagulls and swans in the Grand Canal while the sun was setting. Perfect choice for our last evening in Dublin!
Nice restaurant and setting. The food was delicious however the service wasn’t great, the waitress’ didn’t seem too fussed about making an effort to make our experience special.
The friendly staff receives you with a smile and serves you with flair. We had a very nice and relaxed evening. We were not rushed in to ordering, could take our time. The food was very well prepared. The cod fish was lovely.
Great venue with exceptional staff and service, fantastic atmosphere and a beautiful location
Food was delicious, and so were the cocktails ! Very nice place
Excellent food - best fish we have eaten in a long time. Would definitely go back next time we are in Dublin- would have gone this time but already full!
Service was truly appalling - took almost half an hour to get a menu after waiting 20 mins prior to be shown to our table. Really disappointing since the location is perfect.
Excellent location for a pre theatre meal. Great views, lively atmosphere, food was really good and service was very attentive. Only fault was the lack of a children’s menu.
Really good lunch spe
Great place for brunch, and probably dinner, slightly off the beaten track, and a much better menu and quality of food than many other places.
Great Service. lovely interiors and with wrap around glass windows so it is a really great Dublin location for a sunny Evening. Food was great - We sat near the kitchen so we could see the other dishes going out and they all looked great too.
The starters were poor and portions were too small for the price. The duck breast was slithers of duck. Wouldn’t recommend. The mains were lovely and the desert was good. Overall I think it was over overpriced for what it was. Staff were friendly. Lovely setting and views. Music was being turned on and off throughout.
Loved it. Great food, efficient service, lovely staff and great location with a fantastic view
The restaurant was in a Beautiful location and we were served some lovely summery food
