We take great pride in sourcing high quality local produce and handle it with great care. From bread, stocks and ice creams in the kitchen, to purées, cordials and infusions on the bar, naturally we make them all.
Working with only seasonal ingredients, about a third of our menu changes every month. The cocktail bar works exclusively with fresh, seasonal ingredients and high quality artisan products.

Lovely food and cocktails. Short but decent wine list. Friendly, if a little slow, service. It was fully booked in fairness. Overall a great place to dine with friends. Classy but casual and the food is excellent value.
Great food, great value and great cocktails! What more could you want! Ive been here a few times now and I really enjoy it, will definitely be back.
The room needs a coat of paint, it all looks a bit tired. The food was good though. No alcohol free beers. Every pub in the world stocks them, why not restaurants?
Excellent local place to eat, great food and service
Quality of the experience and the food in particular is not what it used to be. We still enjoyed a nice meal in a pleasant atmosphere and nothing about the experience was "bad", but it didn't live up to our expectations form previous visits.
I have been here many times and the food is always good, and it was again this time. The only drawback was the main course took an hour to turn up after the starter. They apologised profusely and took 50% off the bill, which is fair enough.
Really love this gem of a local restaurant, but each time I return I remember why I haven't been in a while . For me it's the noise levels. It gets deafening in the Dining space when it's full, and when you're trying to have a conversation with someone across the table (and cannot hear them) then it doesn't work for casual, have a catch-up-with-friends and family dining. All the hard surfaces in the Dining area bounce around the noise - really don't understand why the company doesn't fit some acoustic panels to help with this, and then everyone could enjoy themselves, rather than just the noisiest revellers.
Not as interesting as it could be or has been in many past visits. The starter prawn cocktail had shredded carrot in it - why? Woolly prawns and generally tasteless. Main of duck breast was better and the potato dauphinoise was perfect. Slightly odd service, with a touch of attitude.
First time dining here & would thoroughly recommend.. great food, great service and excellent value. Will be back.
Excellent. Special offer over august tempted us in after a long absence but very glad we went. We’ll be back more often.
Visiting family in London our second trip to Charlottes when in Chiswick-food was equally as good on second occasion Definitely would recommend
Perfect lunch once again, such great food at such good value. Wanted to stay longer for desert but had to leave for an appointment... next time!
Great food and excellent service. The cocktails were also excellent.
Exquisite dishes from starters to dessert; tasty and generous portions. The pork belly was out of this world. Attentive service; Highly recommended!
Low key birthday celebration. Restaurant was quiet. Staff friendly, service average. We had a nice lunch without it being outstanding. It is bistro food so almost what I expected.
Starter burrata and heritage tomato. Cheese was nice, but tomatoes to cold, too under ripe, a bit tasteless.
Lamb main course was an excellent bistro dish. Dessert panna cotta nice, but made with too much gelatine.
Overall OK. The restaurant is a bit bland. Everything just needs a bit more love.
Another great meal at Charlotte's Bistro. An inventive tasty menu provided by great service. We really must go more often.
I will preface this review by stating that I write this as a former waitress who served the Montreal restaurant and bar industry for over 10 years.
The three of us arrived on time for our Saturday night reservation and the bartender suggested we have a drink at the bar because our table wasn't ready yet. Note to staff - this upsell technique only works when your restaurant is actually full - not visibly half empty like it was on Saturday.
The restaurant offers a choice of approx. 6 starters and 6 mains for approx. 30 GBP/per person (otherwise main only is approx. 22). This kind of lazy at best and arbitrary at worst pricing is insulting to the customer. A seabass is not a duck is not a lamb is not polenta. The price of the items on the menu should reflect the cost paid (plus any reasonable markup) for such items.
The wine list was only brought to our table after we ordered our mains and the waitress didn't even follow up with our wine order. We had to call her over - twice.
Mains took over 30 minutes to get to the table (after our starters) and the duck arrived cold - I can only assume that this was due to timing issues in the kitchen.
By the end of it, we couldn't be bothered with dessert and left disappointed, 170 quid later.
Service was friendly (in a weird, ignorance is bliss kind of way) but it didn't make up for the rest of Charlotte's shortcomings. If you're looking for value for money, this is not the place to go. If you're looking to impress, this is not the place to go to either. Eating here is the dining equivalent of getting poked fun at all night before the bully steals your wallet and finally chases you off the playground.
Save for a serious overhaul, the writing is already on the wall for Charlotte's Bistro.
Great food and service. Relaxed atmosphere. Gets all the small things right without being pretentious. Nice 👍
It was a really lovely lunch, the staff were super attentive and it was a great atmosphere generally. We will definitely go again!
This restaurant has been on my bucket list fir sometime now and certainly didn’t disappoint. My and I went on Wednesday, we were early but the restaurant was accommodating and as they weren’t yet busy we would advised we could sit anywhere. We choose a booth near the bar, very comfortable. The menu was three courses for £24.50 which was so reasonable for the food we had. The beef carpaccio was the best I’ve tasted, the duck beautifully pink with a jus so intense in flavour and heart attack dauphinois potatoes! The chocolate tart was the perfect way to finish, washed down with a bottle (or two) of the recommended rose. Exceptional. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. A great experience, highly recommended.
For me, standards have slipped. Nowhere near as good as it was a year or two ago - food bland and underseasoned. Service great though in fairness.
I took my wife there to celebrate her 81st birthday. The food- we both had duck breast- was excellent, the service friendly and the cocktail I had very stimulating. I liked the fact that when I had a post-lunch cognac it came with a very large glassful of ice. This was a thoroughly enjoyable meal.
Excellent service, menu was a bit limited but what we all had we enjoyed
Good food in an enjoyable bistro ambiance as ever. My ten year-old was delighted to find her favourite guinea fowl on the menu that evening.
A pleasant place to dine with friends. Good choices on the menu and the food was well-presented and delicious. Staff friendly.
Overall it was a great experience. I think the only thing they could improve on was the starter bread, but when it’s complimentary, I can’t complain too much.
Our favourite local restaurant. Excellent food, wine and service. My plaice with crayfish and spinach was so delicious.. and we all enjoyed our choices
Always always always a fantastic meal at Charlotte's and that's why we keep on coming back!
Delicious food and great cocktails. Interesting wine list. Don't go there often but for a special occasion it's great.
Early menu is great value, waiting staff are very friendly . A great place to go for a girl's catch up
The early bird special has to be the best bargain in town - we left feeling totally full, and spoilt. Very good service and delicious food.
- Delicious food and wine, seasonal ingredients, everything cooked/prepared perfectly, v good selection.
- Perfect service, friendly, honest, not overly attentive or too slow.
- Good ambience, but slightly too loud in the conservatory for my liking.
I recommend Charlottes Bistro to all my friends, family and colleagues. It is by far my favourite place in Chiswick. Tom, the Head Bartender, has great knowledge in drinks and all I need to do is give him a few flavour notes or tell him what kind of mood I'm in and he will come up with delicious drinks every single time.
Food is always on point with fantastic flavours and fresh ingredients and it is one of the best roasts I have had in Chiswick.
I am yet to find something to fault them for. Amazing food, drinks, service, atmosphere and dining deals.
Organised a birthday dinner for my mother. Upon arrival we were pleased to see the restaurant had a great atmosphere.
The service was a bit sloppy - (brought still water despite asking for sparkling, wine spilled whilst pouring, wrong dishes given to wrong person and no mention of my mother's birthday despite e-mailing ahead) but we were served quickly and it didn't effect the evening significantly.
The food was delicious and good value for money. I felt that the Sea Bass portion size was smaller than my last visit which was a little disappointing but it remains good value and was delicious.
I'd certainly come again and recommend, but I'd hope for better service next time.
We had a brilliant time- the service was excellent and the menu was lovely! The Early Diner menu is great value for money, it's fabulous for gluten free and the staff are lovely!
Warm friendly welcome, prompt efficient seating. Creative season menu knowledgeable staff and reasonably priced and interesting wine list. Excellent portion sizes well presented.
Beautifully naturally lit restaurant, food was excellent, inventive and presented well. Staff very friendly and received very professional service.
We went to Charlotte’s to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Had a great time, lovely food and really good service.
We had a very good meal, with an excellent waiter. The only disappointment was the price of the wine - very expensive.
Excellent. Fast friendly service and amazing food. Great fun and relaxed atmosphere
