Our favourite local restaurant. Excellent food, wine and service. My plaice with crayfish and spinach was so delicious.. and we all enjoyed our choices
Always always always a fantastic meal at Charlotte's and that's why we keep on coming back!
Delicious food and great cocktails. Interesting wine list. Don't go there often but for a special occasion it's great.
Early menu is great value, waiting staff are very friendly . A great place to go for a girl's catch up
The early bird special has to be the best bargain in town - we left feeling totally full, and spoilt. Very good service and delicious food.
- Delicious food and wine, seasonal ingredients, everything cooked/prepared perfectly, v good selection.
- Perfect service, friendly, honest, not overly attentive or too slow.
- Good ambience, but slightly too loud in the conservatory for my liking.
I recommend Charlottes Bistro to all my friends, family and colleagues. It is by far my favourite place in Chiswick. Tom, the Head Bartender, has great knowledge in drinks and all I need to do is give him a few flavour notes or tell him what kind of mood I'm in and he will come up with delicious drinks every single time.
Food is always on point with fantastic flavours and fresh ingredients and it is one of the best roasts I have had in Chiswick.
I am yet to find something to fault them for. Amazing food, drinks, service, atmosphere and dining deals.
Organised a birthday dinner for my mother. Upon arrival we were pleased to see the restaurant had a great atmosphere.
The service was a bit sloppy - (brought still water despite asking for sparkling, wine spilled whilst pouring, wrong dishes given to wrong person and no mention of my mother's birthday despite e-mailing ahead) but we were served quickly and it didn't effect the evening significantly.
The food was delicious and good value for money. I felt that the Sea Bass portion size was smaller than my last visit which was a little disappointing but it remains good value and was delicious.
I'd certainly come again and recommend, but I'd hope for better service next time.
We had a brilliant time- the service was excellent and the menu was lovely! The Early Diner menu is great value for money, it's fabulous for gluten free and the staff are lovely!
Warm friendly welcome, prompt efficient seating. Creative season menu knowledgeable staff and reasonably priced and interesting wine list. Excellent portion sizes well presented.
Beautifully naturally lit restaurant, food was excellent, inventive and presented well. Staff very friendly and received very professional service.
We went to Charlotte’s to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Had a great time, lovely food and really good service.
We had a very good meal, with an excellent waiter. The only disappointment was the price of the wine - very expensive.
Excellent. Fast friendly service and amazing food. Great fun and relaxed atmosphere
1. It was a hot day - NEVER eat here on a hot day, the restaurant has a giant roof window and the staff refuse to let you sit in the non greenhouse area, and don't use the air-con. On a hot or even sunny day this place is not comfortable. The fact that the staff realize it is too hot yet don't do anything to fix it i.e. different seating or air-con is what really annoys me .
2. The main dishes are completely disproportionate to each other. If you get the guinea fowl you have a plate filled to the brim with lentils which you can't finish. If you get the grilled fish to get something which is basically the size of a starter. This causes your customers to be over full or still hungry. When the food isn't the cheapest I wouldn't expect this kind of thoughtless food.
3. Our favorite drink from the place is a bloody Mary, it is their signature cocktail but this time the straws with the drink seem to have been cut in half to make 2 straws?!! how cheap can you be to have to cut a straw in 2, until the point that the straw sinks below to bottom of the glass lip.
I feel that the restaurant has really lost it's high standard... I hope that it can make a comeback or it is going to eventually shut down
Great local restaurant. Friendly staff. Sometimes a little noisy if you have hearing problems or want a quiet conversation, but good ambience. Excellent wines and lovely food. I'm a particular fan of the fish. Smaller portions, but excellent as you are not stuffed and can manage a starter and dessert!
Went there for my birthday. Service was good overall. Would definitely recommend
This was my wife's birthday. Normally we would have gone to Charlottes on Ealing Green, a favourite of ours, but due to the tragic fire it is yet to re-open. The Bistro was good, but lacked the ambience. The food was excellent, except the turnip with young lam was inedible because it was too al dente. But the service and chat with staff, jokes etc, excellent. Thoroughly recommend. Turnips are difficult both to grow and cook, because they can go mushy. Not knocking the chef!
busy night, very few staff to the many tables. therefore observations were not very good and staff seemed very tired and not relaxed nor not very friendly . we felt forgotten about at times and i had to ask after quite a while just for our order to be taken. not quite staffs fault due to the circumstances but could have done much better. food was nice though.
Fantastic food and excellent cocktail and wine list
Food was very tasty and well presented as always but the portions seem to have got smaller so therefore not particularly good value . The service was a bit muddled too but the waitress in question was apologetic.
Fantastic food (although had run out of a couple of options on menu). Service was a little slow but didn’t matter to us as happy to wait. Helpful and very friendly waitresses. Table rather cramped as sat on high backed benches that couldn’t be moved and were a little too close to the table (ok for skinny people!). Overall though a lovely dinner.
This Charlotte's lacks the atmosphere of the one behind Ealing Town Hall. The staff over-egged the limited duration we would be allowed to stay at the table, both at point of booking, on the menu & at time of ordering - all a bit unfriendly when we spent over )150 between two people. By the time we left the restaurant wasn't full. I wouldn't go back to Chiswick, but I would go to the Ealing one which is much nicer.
Food was simply amazing and the atmosphere superb. We had a really lovely evening and a restaurant we will definitely be returning to. The staff were also really great especially our waitress who was really lovely and very knowledgeable, even providing a special written note on my partners dessert menu to reassure her regarding her peanut allergy.
Will be back soon!
This was my second visit within the space of a month. So pleased was I with the quality of the food and value for money that I came back with my mum two weeks later. Utterly delicious!
We went for our mums 80th birthday and had a fabulous afternoon. The food and complimentary champagne for the whole of our group was amazing. Thank you
Amazing food, great service and cosy atmosphere! I've found a new gem! Will definitely be going back.
Never disappoints. The food, cocktails, service and atmosphere are a real treat. Best restaurant in Chiswick.
This place never ever fails from the moment you walk in to the second you leave. First class service, ambiance, food and drink. A hidden jewel in Chiswick.
Excellent food and wine - thought the steak tartare particularly good. Excellent value for money.
I met a friend for dinner at Charlotte's - it was the first time either of us had visited. And we couldn't have been more impressed! The menu was varied (and delicious), the wine list was extensive and the service was attentive and friendly. The 3-course set menu with welcome drink is outstanding value given the quality of the food on offer. We'll definitely be back!
Very pleasant meal with friendly service. My hake ceviche was really refreshing and my friend's butternut risotto was excellent.
Overall the food was fairly good. However, the starters were not really up to standard. The hake was smothered in lemon juice to the extent it tasted of lemon rather than hake. The duck came on toast that was rock hard so difficult to eat. The main courses were better - beautifully cooked steak and the lamb was also lovely. This restaurant isn't bad, but I would have expected more given the price.
Very welcoming staff and lovely food. Recommended.
Lovely evening at Charlottes Bistro. Fabulous food, great and attentive service, and also really good value. We will definitely be back!!
Outstanding restaurant that delivered on all levels.
We will all be back again!
Charlotte's put on an absolutely delicious meal for my neice who was visiting from Costa Rica.
Friendly restaurant in bustling Turnham Green Terrace . The menu was brief but offered plenty of choice. We all plumped for the lamb stew which was really tender and in a great rich sauce. The wine choice was good although ours took a while getting to the table , quickly rectified once the waitress was reminded. Desserts were very good. I had a creme brûlée with rosemary which was lovely. Nice relaxed place with good food
I sat at the bar and enjoyed my beetroot cured salmon starter, and then fell deeply in love with the pork loin with spätzle and an amazing mushroom sauce!
Great service, relaxed atmosphere and nice touches like the excellent cocktails and complimentary fresh bread. Early bird menu worth checking out
