Chart House Restaurant - Alexandria
Everything except for the prime rib being over cooked was wonderful.
Everything was wonderful! The service was and the food was exceptional.
I called Chart House TWICE and spoke to a staff member TWICE regarding the menu for "Restaurant Week" on Sunday, January 20, 2019. I was assured both times that a LUNCH RESTAURANT WEEK menu would be offered when we arrived for our reservation at noon. INSTEAD, our party of four was offered a brunch menu, a regular menu and a "Restaurant Week" DINNER menu for $35.00 per person. A "Restaurant Week' LUNCH menu is supposed to cost $15.00 per person. Our experience was a clear case of BAIT AND SWITCH which is unethical and probably illegal. I was embarrassed because I was in charge of making the dining arrangements for the four of us (which is why I called TWICE.)
We asked for a quiet booth to celebrate our anniversary- I reiterated our request to the hostess and she told us she would give us a quiet table. instead we were sat next to a loud group of 15 people celebrating a birthday. It was obnoxious and ruined our experience. Very very disappointing.
Always a great experience!
I usually love Chart House Alexandria. This time the food was....off. My fish was over cooked. My wife’s shrimp were over cooked as well. I hope this was just a “one off”.
I went to this at opentable week. Not bad but not so recommendable because the main menu was disappointed.
All I can say is Awesome Ny strip 💋💋💋💋
We arrived for our 7:15 reservation and were seated by 7:30. Two in our party ordered soup and the salad bar while the other ordered Seared Tuna and the salad bar. The salad bar was pitiful and I had to find our wait person and tell her to light a fire in the back to get it restocked. Someone immediately came out to restock from refrigerators below but we were left standing there waiting for this to be completed. It was far to early for the salad bar to look as though the restaurant had closed for the evening.
Arrived at the restaurant during restaurant week and seated promptly. We did have a reservation. Then we sat and sat and sat. Flagged someone down and still sat and sat and sat. Not even a water while we waited. About 45 minutes later we left. So, unfortunately we can not provide a review of their food. One star for the view, which was beautiful.
Chart House has been a favorite of mine for years but I think this may be my last visit. Seafood was good but the salad bar - which used to be a headliner was average at best - many of the items from yrs past taken out so definitely not worth the extra $10.00. All in all, it's gone down from yrs past - way too pricey for what you're getting. disappointed.
Great dinner during Restaurant Week. Enjoyed our meal by a table overlooking the water and fireside. Haven’t been to a Chart House in years and our visit didn’t disappoint!
The “Restaurant Week” prix-fixe menu was a great value, and very nice selection of appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Service and seating were notable, views of the National Harbor Wheel at night was a great plus.
Very chain vibe - food was just okay service was great overall 3.5
Had a wonderful time with my family. The waiter was very courteous and helpful. I recommend this restaurant for the wonderful food, the atmosphere, and the quality service.
We went on restaurant week, and the menu they have for that wasn't worth it. We have to think twice before doing it again.
Fantastic food, amazing view, great atmosphere. Cannot recommend this highly enough, though it is a bit pricey.
Everything about our dinner there was absolute perfection! From the moment we walked in, we felt instant amaze and we were welcomed by a very outgoing, happy staff. We are going to be dining here again very soon! Food and our server Taylor were INCREDIBLE!
It was perfect for our second date. We definitely Love the ambience of the place.
No matter what the weather you can’t beat a window seat. View was phenomenal. Food and drinks were fantastic!
My husband and I had a date night at the Chart House - food was great, drink options were excellent. We sat at a window table looking out at the Potomac and it was a nice night.
The food was terrific and the server was most outstanding. He was perfect.
We went to the Chart House because of a "Date Night" promotion from the corporate owners. The view, the food, the service were all first rate.
Superb service, food quality, and atmosphere for celebrating wife's birthday. Nice touch with signed birthday card! Will definitely be coming back.
Had a wonderful dinner for 4 on a Friday night. Service was amazing... very knowledgeable servers, and, of course, the food is outstanding.
We had two shrimp dishes (fresca and coconut), and both were done perfectly with good flavors and presentation. The waitress recommended snapper because the flounder was sold out, and it was an excellent recommendation. One guest does not like seafood, so we can attest to the phenomenal beef filet, as well.
Quiet with good views by the window.
The recent dinner experience was much better than a previous lunch during which the
food was quite poor. All the diners on this occasion enjoyed the meal, the table location
and the general atmosphere. The server was attentive and pleasant as well.
Excellent food and ambiance for your special occasion.
Chart House has improved dramatically and I’m better for it.
A great way to start 2019! As always, delicious food in a wonderful atmosphere.
Had minimal wait for table. Food was delicious except the rolls were commercial that you would purchase at grocery store. Service was excellent.
Food not as good as before. We used to go here frequently for special occasion but our recent visits have been disappointing. Ambience, service quality remains excellent but food quality has deteriorated. On our last visit, we ordered crab cake and salmon sandwiches, and salad. The only redeeming portion was the salad bar and their sweet potato fries.
Good service, good food, good selection, good seats - that about covers it. For me, the service anywhere I go, makes or breaks a meal. Our service was once again, top flight. Pleasant, funny, attentive, knowledgeable and helpful. Not only was it New Years Day, it’s our daughter’s birthday. Chart House is always at the top of the list when I ask my family where they want to go.
Everything was great! Staff couldn’t be nicer or more accommodating.
Wonderful place to visit! Great food, friendly staff, peaceful atmosphere!
Service very slow because server had many tables Server came by occasionally to say bread, food was coming...
The Chart House was a wonderful experience. My friends and I had wonderful seating by the window and fireplace. Food was excellent. The service was truly outstanding. Would definitely come back to the Chart House for dinner.
We had an delightful family gathering that was made even more enjoyable because of the breathtaking waterfront view, amazing salad bar, and outstanding customer service. We will most definitely visit again.
It had been a while in eating at Chart House. Very nice atmosphere. Only disappointment was the salad bar. We think the Cesar salad had sat out for a bit.
Weekend Brunch with our 93 year old Mom. This is always a favorite.
