We had a small dinner party for seven. The food was excellent starting with the soups and calamari appetizers. Oysters were also a hit. Main course selections were very well cooked and seasoned. Seafood was fresh and beautifully presented. Chocolate lave cake made for a perfect desert for the meal. Ambience was good, loved the dining room. Excellent wine list and parking was on site!
We’ve been coming the the Chart House for over 10 years now and have never been disappointed. The ambiance, location and food are always on point. We did try the Miso Salmon dish and did not like it one bit, aside from that food was delicious! The waitress did take the salmon off our bill and we ordered a replacement dish that was delicious. We keep on coming back!
Last minute choice. But such an exceptional one. Amazing everything.
Arrived at 7:30 for our reservation. Was told they were running late and it would be another 30 minutes and could wait in the bar. That's an old trick to get us to spend $$ while waiting. Want me to believe it's not so? Tell me to wait in the bar and comp me a round of drinks.
great from beginning to end
Food was excellent! We both got the prime rib, best around!
Pomegranate martini was delicious and perfect. Service was great for being so busy. One of our favorite places to dine!
I asked for a private table and they accommodate d me . I had a nice waiter Omar who I knew from before . I was on the third floor next to the Christmas tree it was lovely .
Great ambiance, great service, 1 pc of bread per person? Swordfish was excellent but smaller than a deck of cards for $42. Came with a autumn harvest mash that was promising but undercooked and served slightly warm.
Calamari app was tasty and actually a generous portion. Drinks were $16 and could not sense a hint of alcohol.
Not sure I'd go back... A lot of $ ... tough call.
Prime rib was very good with a side order of mushrooms.
Cozy atmosphere, amazing seafood, excellent service.
Awful service, tried to celebrate birthday but our entire meal was rushed from server. This restaurant we always run into service issues, either being very slow/non existent or like this. This was the last straw for us.
Great visit but our waiter could have have been a little more personal
Top notch service and food. Building is gorgeous.
Chart House has been a favorite of mine for over 20 years, and most recent visit maintains that status. And my date, celebrating her birthday and a first timer, was very impressed.
Outstanding - thank you for a very special occasion!
The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect! Service was friendly and on point. We will definitely be back!
The food was very tasty especially the kimchi calamari. The lobster roll was very fresh.
AMAZING!! Location, history, servers, food all a 10/10. We ordered a variety of entrees, drinks and desserts and they were all perfect. Our server was amazing, and knew a lot of history of the building and new the menu like the back of his hand. Hands down one of our favorite dining experiences in Boston!
Took son’s girlfriend from
Dallas there to experience fresh fish. Lobster, shrimp, clams and a scrod
Food was amazing. Service wasn’t great we actually ended up eating almost 3 hrs after our reservation (accidentally delivered to our main courses to the wrong table). BUT it was thanksgiving and they did give us a big discount due to the service. I would try them again on a no. Holiday because the food was amazing.
Great experience! We came to celebrate Thanksgiving. It was a busy day, had to wait almost 30 minutes to be seated, however it was absolutely worth it. Our waiter was polite, with a good sense of humor, and some useful recommendations regarding menu. Food was on spot, delicious. The interior brings the experience to the whole. We definitely will be back, not only for holiday celebrations but also for good everyday eat.
Thanksgiving dinner was not the typical time to dine at Chart House but the reservations were running 40 minutes late, the service was slow, and some of the dishes were improperly cooked. The prime rib, ordered medium rare came to the table rare and was sent back to the kitchen. It came back having been flamed and was still rare inside. The dessert pie crusts tasted like they were undercooked as well. On the other hand, the Chilean sea bass was excellent, as were the Caesar salads. But for $200 including tip, it was a disappointing special occasion for two. They need to do a lot better.
Chart house experience was a mess last night 11/25/21. Our reservation was for 530pm we got there on time and we were told there was a wait time of 30 to 45mins. Over crowded, confusing situation. Ended up going somewhere else that was way better
Thanksgiving dinner had to climb up to the third floor with my 85 year old mother I told them she could not do stairs to keep us low. The girl at the front desk gave an attitude when I asked about lower seating. She was to busy in her phone. Turkey dinner was very salty and the deserts were served cold never asked us if we wanted coffee will never ever eat here again. It was terrible the only 1 good thing was the valet guys kudos to them they were more organized than everyone in the restaurant . I then observed a elderly gentleman with crutches and his son helping him to the third floor he needed a lot of help this place is not handicapped friendly and the prices they charge they should put an elevator in. Terrible experience will not return and I will never recommend anyone to this place
Splendid food, service and atmosphere. This was the first of many future Thanksgivings we plan to have at The Boston Chart House. My turkey dinner was scrumptious and my partner’s prime rib was prepared and served to perfection.
We came for thanksgiving. The area and location are perfection. Most of the food was ok but the bisque and chowder weren’t great and the mahi-mahi with a peanut sauce was very strange and TERRIBLY overcooked. We did not tell the server. I hate sending food back especially when it’s super busy.
I always feel so bad for the employees having to work on thanksgiving however, the service was outstanding. They were very busy and everyone was friendly and helpful.
Awesome service and a great Thanksgiving dinner.
Had Thanksgiving Dinner here and it did not disappoint at all! The food was wonderful and for the times they did a great job
With the service. Everything was just great!
Super disappointed. Paying $65 for Thanksgiving dinner per person should be real turkey and not a turkey loaf. The service team for our group of 5 was forgetful. We waited 30 minutes for a bottle of wine to arrive and received the extra brown gravy, requested when our orders were taken, after we finished eating. The salads and desserts were as expected.
Prime rib was warm at best no with 50% fat. The chowder was also only warm. Wait staff was very slow did not check on us after dropping off our entrée. We could’ve used steak knives with our prime rib. I don’t think the kitchen is set up for a full house, my suggestion is not to go to the chart House on a holiday.
Kitchen needs major help!! Food returned and slow
Waitress and bartender great
Thanksgiving offer underwhelmed. Dry turkey, no mashed potatoes, no apple pie.
I was there for thanksgiving with my family. It was a lovely experience and the service was excellent. My stepdaughter is a 15 years old and handicap. They we’re absolutely hospitable and accommodating to her needs thank you to the staff and everyone at the
Chart House for a great experience.
We were there right before Thanksgiving so it was quiet. Food was excellent and our server was great. A very enjoyable experience.
The ambience brings one back to “Old Boston” the brick walls the wood tables so cozy.
The food from appetizers through dessert was delicious.
A very special birthday celebration for our 9 year old grandson...the entrees were all tasty and the desserts were yummy. Great service.
I had noted a birthday on the open table - but the waitress was not aware
My fiance and I went to Chart House for my birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our time! The food, drinks and service were all wonderful.
Very good food l love it.l will recommend it to friends and family
