   This was the best experince! We ordered the Afternoon tea and the setting was perfect for it with all these Alice in Wonderland vibes! It is also the best price in the city and everything was delicious.

   Lovely food well presented in a nice dining area. King prawns with glass noodles and prawn green curry both very tasty. The dining area was a little quiet but that did not detract from the experience.The two for one cocktails were a a good draw but that they ran out of the making for a second round which was a little off-putting. Overall we would definitely visit again when in the area.

   We made a reservation and arrived at the restaurant. We were seated at a table that was very wobbly and asked to be moved. While we were being moved the bartender came to us and said that the kitchen was busy with a conference and even if we ordered we wouldn’t be served for at least a hour and half. Needless to say we left.

   The service was very poor. We were waiting to get our main course for over an hour and when it arrived, they got our order completely wrong. Food was delicious and well seasoned but the waiting time was ridiculous! Will not be returning.

   CheckMate Bar, Lounge and Restaurant on London's Cromwell Road is very east to find. The first impressions were good - very clean, modern and swish. The food was nice too with a nice selection of good value main dishes. My colleague and I shared the CheckMate starter platter - it was really good. The service couldn't be bettered either. I would strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone.

   Check Mate, SW7 was a terrible dissapointment. I dont know what i expected from a hotel restaurant but this was more convenient than anything else. whils the decor is nice is is still a hotel restaurant that is quite, with a limited menu a extremely mediocre service.
