The ambiance was good i felt super safe with cover and i was also very warm. service was so quick
Awesome as always. Amazing apps and ramen. The Long Thailand Iced Tea was UNREAL!
The outdoor space is so cozy and safe! It was a HUGE perk when we realized we could order from both the Cheu and NuNu menus right now! Service was quick, food was hot and the drinks were innovative and delicious as always!
Very warm outdoor seating for covid restrictions.
My Sister and I decided to dine here due to a notification I received from open table about Philadelphia restaurants offering outdoor seating during the City's mandatory closure.
The street parking is horrible! I would arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your reservation so you can find parking. I also suggest rideshare or catching public transportation. Our servers were Charlie (Manager) and Angie and they were very pleasant and accommodating.
We dined during happy hour. The prices were cheaper so this allowed us to try various dishes. The food was very flavorful, left us wanting more! The cocktail Apple saki smash was absolutely delicious; we had 3 each! Only thing that was a blah moment was the side of their dragon roll, it was small for the price. We are looking forward to going back to dine.
Great grub👍
A bit overpriced but nice food. Very little wait time.
LOVE their food! The soups are amazing and love the brussel sprout dish. It was cold out but the heaters definitely made a difference.
Great service, warm outdoor patio, will definitely be back!
the food was amazing!!! we were seated immediately and our server was friendly and prompt. everything was great :)
We are big fans of Cheu since becoming hooked on their first funky little place on Washington Square, now closed. This was our first trip to Cheu Fishtown, located in a historic renovated horse stable, with a big red door. They seem to have adapted well to urban dining in the time of covid, sharing an array of outside tables on the wide sidewalk and a pleasant open courtyard with Nunu, the restaurant next door. The food was just as delicious as the original location, with many, if not all, of our favorites still on the menu, and many interesting new additions. Their dumpling choices are amazing, the Brussels sprouts tangy, flavorful, inimitable. And the main attraction for us, huge bowls of miso ramen with succulent pork shoulder, fresh arugula, halved soy eggs, a flavorful, complex broth, and those perfect hand pulled ramen noodles. Although we couldn’t view much of the restaurant interior due to the current covid situation, we could experience the bathroom, which was a mini getaway in itself! Cool, hip, funky - with Cheu’s signature street art aesthetic. Highly recommend this spot.
I went here for a happy hour with a friend and we had a fantastic time! We sat in the outdoor area between Nunu and Cheu and the ambiance was perfect. Music was hip and trendy, lighting was really unique and the care taken towards customers and staff in the midst of COVID was extremely thoughtful. As for the food, we had access to both Cheu and Nunu’s HH menus which were AMAZING. We got the skewers, cheese fries, and wings. Absolutely delicious. We also ordered some cocktails which were SO good. The HH deals were priced okay. Service was superior. All in all, incredible experience and will be coming back for more happy hours. Looking forward to trying their dinner!
Daughter’s birthday
Consistently amazing food and service. The outdoor patio had a great vibe and everyone was practicing social distancing. Great place!
Our daughter lives in Fishtown and we have wanted to eat here. So very good!
The cocktails were unique and delicious. The fried chicken steamed buns are awesome, along with the spicy chicken dumplings. The Brisket Ramen is out of this world. I would eat that broth everyday if I could. My wife loved her Miso Ramen, which isn't normally my thing, but it was crazy good. The pork was tender and the broth was on par with the Brisket Ramen. Will definitely be back for more.
My favorite ramen spot. They're doing their best to cater to the current standard with outdoor dining. The street is a little busy right now but you can still have conversation and eat dinner with friends.
Great staff and delicious food!! Patio was really cute
Believe the hype.
Always a yummy time at Chew/Nunu. So happy we were able to order from both restaurants.
Food always great. Server particularly great.
Cheu Fishtown could possibly be the best place to eat in Philly. Always delicious, unique, and great service. The outside dining was super fun with the buses buzzing by us. Always a great experience at Cheu.
Great place! Innovative food, great service and cool ambiance.
The food at Cheu and Nunu was delicious. The banger board of sushi was out of this world! Highly recommend the spicy chicken dumplings as well.
Loved coconut curry noodles, would go again and recommend
Nice service
Mediocre Asian fusion food. They have very good portions though and a good value
Excellent all around. Is it possible to extend your dinner menu ?
First time at this restaurant. I thought the food was creative and very good. One of the dishes was green bean Dan, Dan. I didn't know what to expect, they were delicious! I would definitely go back to this very good place.
It started pouring mid dinner and they were very accommodating .
Great food. Highly recommend.
Cheu Fishtown never disappoints. Great food and fun and different cocktail offerings. I only wish we had room for dessert!! Staff is always lovely. So glad they were able to reopen!!
AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! The food was amazing and the place itself is so cute and very romantic for a cute date night. I will definitely be back.
This is normally one of my favorite restaurants in Philly so I was very disappointed by my recent visit. We arrived for our reservation and were sat at the end table of the outdoor dining in the front. Once we placed it order and the food arrived this area in particular was met with a bunch of flies. We had others dining near us as well who did not seem to have the same issue. The snack of the black garlic wings arrived and those were lukewarm with not much sauce and flavor as they normally have. Our entree of the brisket ramen was another disappointment. The brisket was mostly fat and the kimchi was cold and with another round of flies returning it made the entire evening overall a big miss for us on any weekend date night. I don’t think I’ll be coming back for awhile as that was very subpar for the money we paid.
Food and cocktails are delicious and inventive. Great happy hour options. They're also doing an excellent job with socially distancing the tables and making sure staff and customers are wearing masks.
Great food, awesome service! We didn't experience the flies that others have mentioned, but that could be due to the huge fan they have in the back, trade off is its a bit loud. That being said, during these covid times the food was excellent and the service made our night.
The black garlic wings were super delicious! I like that you can also pick items off the Nunu menu as well.
They need to work on the flies, there’s a crazy amount. All they need is a fan or candles
Our table had a lot of flies but food and service was great. Great HH
Beautiful place, food and drinks were great. Recommend for friends outing and dates.
