We have a carefully chosen wine list and an interesting selection of drinks. We look forward to welcoming you to Chez Dominique where you can enjoy good food and drink in a relaxing and friendly atmosphere.
Great food and very enjoyable dinner on a short visit to Bath. Duck breast was excellent and though pink was very tender. Scallops delicious too.
Fabulous food and wine, the best meal I"ve had out in years.
Charming service and pleasant surroundings were the icing on the cake.
Prices not cheap, but great value for the quality provided.
Couldn't fault anything about it. Great food, wine & service.
Myself and my partner went to Chez Dominique to celebrate his 30th birthday. On arrival we were greeted by the head waiter who instantly wished my partner a happy birthday. After we sat down he brought over 2 complimentary glasses of prosecco which was a lovely touch. We chose from the set menu available until 7pm which is unbelievably good value for money (2 course for £15, 3 for £18). All of the food was absolutely delicious and the wine menu was comprehensive. The ambience in the restaurant was fantastic and all of the staff were delightful. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back when I am next in Bath.
We enjoyed our meal here celebrating my husband's birthday - the food and ambience were both very good. The staff were pleasant & helpful, but the service wasn't quite up to the standard eclxpected - the restaurant WAS busy, but we were left for long periods waiting to order and again, to settle our bill.
Terrific food and service. Early dinner menu great value. Highly recommended
Just a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. The fixed price menu is excellent value and the food was inventive and delicious. The house wine was good and moderately priced and the service was very good even when the restaurant became very busy.
Went for lunch and had the Fixed Price menu, excellent value and the food was very good and just right for lunch.
The service was friendly, genuine and again excellent value.
Would definitely visit again.
Lovely restaurant which played host to the final night of my mum and I's weekend in Bath. Great service, delicious food, and a wonderful atmosphere. Would highly recommend.
I went with a friend on a busy Saturday night and we had a great experience. The staff were really friendly and knowledgable about the menu and the dishes. They were also really attentive. The front of house manager recommended great wines and we felt special. We'd both heartily recommend going and having a night out.
All round value excellent. Staff not only good but especially friendly and efficient. Fourth time here and returning next weekend. Favourite restaurant at the moment.
We have eaten here many times both for lunch and dinner and have never been disappointed. Very French. You can be quick or take your time and the staff are always friendly and efficient.
Enjoyable evening in a restaurant with character.
Central location, easy relaxed style.
Good food in all three courses.
Wine to suit with friendly service and smiles
Terrific value prix fixe menu.
Delicious steak and good wine choices. Waiters very friendly and knowledgeable
Good french bistro lunch. Had lunch fixed price menu. Fresh ingredients well cooked and decent portion sizes. Service could have been quicker but standard of food made up for that. Would recommend
My daughter's 22nd birthday, was prebooked by Open Table and never there before. We got caught in traffic, the Matre D' took the time to call us to see if we were running late and that was so thoughtful! I said it was my daughter's birthday and he immediately wished her Happy Birthday with a Proscecco on the house when we sat down! He was charming, the place was charming and it was delish food, from the soup to the steak to the cheese board! I loved it all and so did my daughter and the price was right!!! Better then the London Kennsington restaurant we had been to the night before where I dropped £100...so there you go. Lovely wait staff too. Recommend it 100%!
Food was great! Cooked to perfection. Had the duck for main and the roast beef salad for starters! Quiet little restaurant. Just wished we had enough apetite for dessert. Will be back again!
As always great food at friendly service from the Chez dominique team - a bit lively this saturday as the Rugby crowd where in - but very enjoyable for all that
Great little place. Cosy, friendly and food was delicious.
Lovely meal with well prepared dishes and good value
Lovely relaxed setting in Beautiful Bath. Great, friendly service and food was delicious. I have no hesitation in recommending for lunch or dinner!
Definitely recommend. Food was excellent. Restaurant has simple decor, pleasant enough to enjoy a wonderful meal. Quality of service was not quite on par with the food though.
Really nice french-bistro-feel like place. small tables, wooden floors. responsive staff and we both loved our food. perfectly cooked steak for me and lamb for my girlfriend. a beautiful bottle of Rioja, which we both loved. I would go again in a few months and try something else. You do need a reservation as the place is not that big!
Loved it. Went back the next evening. Good value very tasty food.
Amazing food and good atmosphere! Chateubriand was one of the best i’ve had!
Been a few times before to Chez Dominique, so our expectations were already high, but this time the food and the service were of another level. The white onion & thyme soup was fantastic, with so much flavour! And the chateaubriand was just out of this world! Thank you and we'll be back very soon!
Have been to Chez Dominique several times, both for lunch and dinner and never had a bad meal. It is always busy especially at weekends so booking is recommended. The service is attentive without being too intrusive. Good wine list, great location, fine ingredients.
Decided to book your restaurant after reading about it and looking at the reviews.
I must say we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It was a birthday celebration .
The 2 or 3 course lunchtime menu was very good and very good value. The steak onglet was delicious and so tender and the lemon posset was very good too.
The service was really good despite it being busy .Staff were very attentive and friendly.
We will definetly be visiting your restaurant again when we are next in Bath.
Thank you so much.
Wonderfully friendly service but very slow. We were seated quickly and offered water but then no one approached us for just over 25 minutes and it wasn’t busy. Food was ok but my cod was overcooked. Took about an hour for us to be served - on a fairly quiet evening. Probably being a little picky about the food simply because we were irritated by how long we had to wait. It’s a local restaurant and the staff were great so we shall try them again and hope for a better result; we’d love it to be a ‘local gem’.
We had a very pleasant prix fixe meal, I need gluten free and lactose free food, this was accommodated on the fixed price menu, with some adjustments, all was excellent! Very happy.
One of several fine restaurants in Bath. This was our second visit and ,again , it was a very pleasurable experience. The waiting staff and front of house struck the right balance between being attentive without being obsequious as witnessed in many London restaurants.
All in all a pleasant evening, which we hope to repeat in the future
It was one of the best French meals that I have had in a long time!
Delicious food presented beautifully. Excellent friendly service.
The restaurant was really nice. The service was great, would definitely recommend this place if you are visiting bath.
Very friendly welcome, food cooked beautifully, delicious wines by the glass. Looking forward to our next visit, top of our list for eating out in The City of Bath!
Lovely food and great service. Early evening menu is incredible value for money.
We wanted a decent lunch as we were watching rugby at the Rec that evening and probably wouldn't eat much after the game. We could not have chosen better. The restaurant was full and lively with a great atmosphere. The service could not be faulted - we were well looked after from the minute we arrived. We ordered the chateaubriand for two and understood that this would take a while to cook. Although we were not in a hurry, we were given regular updates on progress. The food, when it arrived, was well worth the slight wait. The beef was as good as any I have ever tasted. Cooked to perfection, it melted in your mouth. A steak knife was provided, but it was not required, the meat was so good. Delicious dessert to follow and a fine bottle of red of our waiter's choosing to accompany our meal. Booking is highly recommended as the restaurant is quite small. Absolutely first class. Thank you!
Food was of an excellent quality and the atmosphere was relaxed
