Pleasant friendly informal place for lunch in the centre of Bath
My husband and I really enjoyed our lunch at Chez Dominique - the pasta with butternut squash, wild mushrooms, pine nuts and crispy sage leaves was absolutely stunning and I loved the use of seasonal ingredients. The service was fantastic too - really friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food. Looking forward to returning on my next visit to bath
Wonderful, friendly service. Beautitful food and a lovely atmosphere. A fabulous place to celebrate our wedding anniversary!
Really nice French cuisine, friendly and attentive staff. Good value for money with the 2 course for £20.
Delicious lunch and outstanding service. Ensure you book ahead (even on the day, like we did) as we saw so many people request a walk in but they were fully booked on the day and we understood why!
Lovely food and wonderful staff. We will definitely visit again if we are in the area
Ordered a 3-course meal. Good food and good service. Very satisfied 😋
Recommended by a friend and we were not disappointed! Staff were so lovely and took great care of us and the food was delicious! Will be returning!
Wonderful meal in a beautiful, understated setting on our final day in Bath. The service was top notch and the food, by far the best we had (of a great selection!) in Bath over our long weekend. The monkfish was to die for!
We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chez Dominique.
Excellent food, fantastic service and good value for money.Food was delicious and beautifully presented.
Friendly service and food was great, very helpful suggesting a meal option for our daughter
It was absolutely top notch food. The waiter even noted it was our wedding anniversary and gave us a little drink,
Really was excellent and I am fussy person at the best of times
Wonderful meal, excellent value but above all, absolutely delicious. Super service and can't wait to go back on another visit to Bath.
Another really enjoyable meal. Great standard - we will be back again very soon
Booked for our anniversary and the meal did not disappoint - we had the duck and skate to start which were both delicious and Monkfish and Venison for mains. Generous portions and the experience lived up to expectations. Staff and service excellent. Will return for sure.
The staff really looked after us and allocated a lovely window table which was really lovely. Food was cooked to perfection and the service was polite and unobtrusive. Highly recommend for a lovely meal whilst in Bath.
Gorgeous food in a simple setting and excellent value for money. I had 3 courses and a lovely wine. All the staff were helpful and I felt very comfortable eating out during Covid. Staff wire PPE and tables/chairs etc were cleaned regularly.
Friendly efficient and attentive staff. Food was excellent. Covid19 safe practices being adhered to, which is reassuring.
Excellent meal and service- thank you very much indeed
Wonderful food and faultless service. A little gem of a place.
In all my 40+ years of dinning out, I do not recall such good value, the food was fantastic, the service was sublime and felt authentically French. I would more than recommend this restaurant and we will be sure to book a table on our return to Bath.
A group of six of us enjoyed delicious food from your set menu last Sunday and everyone of us found our food beautifully presented and full of flavour. The back room was well ventilated and all care was taken to observe recommendations for Covid 19 . Service was attentive and very good. We have eaten here on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed .
All very enjoyable as always. The food and service are both excellent - especially at this difficult time.
Superb value, great service and excellent food. Enjoyed the experience
I could not recommend this restaurant enough! The owner was an absolute delight when we arrived on Friday. Our table wasn’t ready so he showed us to a bar table and served us a complimentary aperitif. Later he recommended other bars to go to, all of which were excellent. Great value, great food and great company!
Restaurant was recommended to us by various friends, had a lovely meal, enjoyed everything about this place. A must when visiting Bath 👍
They always add Interesting elements to the menu . Well cooked varied food , helpful staff . Always a pleasure to dine here
Excellent food and service. There was a couple of mishaps with the order but these were sorted right away. Great value for money. Would definitely go again.
I was welcomed to my table with a complimentary glass of bubbles as it as my birthday which was a very nice gesture. The food was lovely and the service was great. Can’t fault!
good selection of food and wine and good value in a friendly atmosphere
Good imaginative menu that was cooked to perfection - nice polite and helpful staff - a bit expensive but worth it!
We were glad to find Chez Dominique open for business and were able to reserve a table for lunch. The present Covid crisis means that the ambience of the restaurant was not as usual but the staff and the food more than made up for it. We always enjoy a meal at this restaurant and will return again soon.
Booked for a quiet, late lunch during a day out in Bath. Left feeling, as we too often do with restaurants these days, that it was "ok"but wouldn't rush back.
Starter of trout was tiny and badly needed something like a a melba toast on the side - or better still perhaps the time honoured basket of bread that one would normally associate with a "French" restaurant?
My main of veal with Roquefort sauce was very good, my wife's fish was overpowered by the ratatouille.
Service up to that point had been excellent from both le patron and his charming lady waitress who happily moved us into the window, but as we completed our mains, a family of four, obviously well known to Le P, became his sole focus of attention and as the service declined, so the noise level increased as he and they loudly reminisced. I could recount the entire conversation here as my wife and I were unable to finish ours.
So - ordering pudding and coffee became an exercise in eye catching which is always dull.
Bill for two courses for one, three courses for another plus two glasses of wine was over £70 - albeit with an eye watering £7.50 supplement for the veal.
In short: small portions, loud patrons aided and abetted by the owner on this occasion and high prices. Draw your own conclusions.
Excellent lunch. Courteous service, we’ll chosen menu.
Fantastic food, charming staff and amazing night.
We went for our 7th anniversary and wanted great food and wine and found every course was simple astounding.
Friendly and quick service; excellent food; very good value; very good Covid-19 precautions. Looking forward to our next visit.
Fantastic food lovely atmosphere. Great portions and great value.
Fixed price menu is very good value. Our go-to restaurant for lunch when we are in Bath.
It’s been a while due to lockdown etc but we love this restaurant - so much so that we are booking again next week. Great chef using excellent ingredients and topped by attentive, friendly and genuine service.
