We had the most fantastic evening here! Friendly and welcoming, and the food was all absolutely delicious. Couldn't fault a thing, and look forward to returning after lockdown. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
What a charming restaurant this is. This was our first experience of Chez D - the evening before the second lockdown. The staff were cheerful - service impeccable - atmosphere jolly - and food faultless. We'll be back !
Fabulous staff, incredible food and the price range is just amazing. I would highly recommend it. Thank you for a wonderful experience.x
Excellent, authentic Fench food. And I can attest to this as I lived in France for 6 years, and my wife is French.
Delicious classic dishes and wine served by entertaining waiting staff at very reasonable prices. What more could you ask for? Tarte tatin topped it off!
Great service and delicious food. Enjoyed the mushroom soup and hake. Happily removed an ingredient which i appreciated :)
We loved this place and booked for Christmas time again :)
What a delight to find a genuine French restaurant where the food was made from scratch, full of flavour and adventure, beautifully presented, served by a gentle and professional maitre de maison and in simple, stylish surroundings.
A truly memorable menu, meal and experience. The whole family would highly recommend this gem of a restaurant!
Excellent food with a very friendly service, the staff were eager to please and very efficient.
A calm dining experience with quality food and excellent wine list
The best meal I have had all year. Great down to earth french food.
Great food at reasonable price. Service was excellent.
Excellent food, service and quality Super value for money Thanks
We had the three course meal offer. The food was excellent. We both said it was the best meal we'd had for a long time. The wine (Merlot) was very good and at a very reasonable price. The waiter and waitress were very attentive.
We had lunch at the restaurant and the menu was £20 for 2 courses and £24 for 3.
There were 5 choices of starters and 4 main course with another 4 specials where there was an extra charge. There were sides to order at extra cost.
There was enough choice for starters and mains. The dishes we chose were good quality and flavoursome. The quantities were just fine for our appetites - we didn’t order any sides.
Chez Dominique lived up to its usual very high standards. It also felt very Covid safe and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch
Short menu, well cooked. Think good French bistro. Onglet steak and frites were excellent. Friendly helpful service.
Really enjoyed eating here, very relaxed experience. Not rushed in any way, I felt we were given enough time to chat and relax without waiting too long for food. Waiters were attentive, atmosphere was cosy and quiet. Food is definitely suited to a more refined palette, and portions are not overly large, but the food was delicious and value for money was good. Overall a lovely time and would visit again.
Amazing restaurant and amazing staff. If we lived in the area we would be there all the time. Great experience x
Thoroughly enjoyable evening with excellent service and delicious food. Welcomed by the very pleasant staff who explained the menu and presented the birthday girl with a glass of sparkling wine.We opted for two fish courses which were absolutely superb. It was our first visit to Chez Dominique and we definitely plan a return visit.
Obviously the ambience had to be stark because of COVID but the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food made it a good experience
Simple menu but with good choices and great value for the quality of food.
Lovely little spot, they have managed to make social distancing work while keeping a nice ambience. The steak frites was good and we had a lovely bottle of red. The staff were very friendly and brought us a complimentary glass of bubbles as we were celebrating our anniversary. Would go again!
Very enjoyable. On reflection a steak knife would have been helpful. The steak was cooked as requested but a sharper knife was needed. Thank you for the birthday fizz - v thoughtful
Nice atmophere and delicious food
Great food and atmosphere, would definitely recommend to anyone going to bath
Meal booked for my wifes' birthday and could not have asked for a better night. Food was absolutely outstanding and reasonably priced and the venue nice and intimate . The staff were friendly and gave great service I look forward to our next visit. If you havent checked this gem in the heart of Bath you are missing out .
Excellent food and great value. This is what bistros used to be like rather than all the usual chain restaurants that have since followed. Highly recommended
Great atmosphere, excellent food and service, highly recommend a visit
Great all round. Highly recommend. Excellent place for special moments.
Faultless food and service, worth a visit everytime.
My boyfriend and I came to Chez Dominique for dinner and we loved it! The food was excellent with great portion sizes.
The services was incredible and the staff were very attentive throughout our entire meal. We would definitely recommend it!
Just as good as our last visit.
Unpretentiuos place.Good food and service, especially Jason.
Myself and 3 friends were visiting Bath and Chez Dominique had been recommended to us. The food was served promptly and hot and all courses were beautifully presented and delicious. Thank you for a very enjoyable evening
The food was exquisite, beautifully presented and tasted delicious. Ambience was great and the service was excellent. Great value for money too. Highly recommend it.
Fab restaurant, great food and very friendly service! We will be back thank you!
Lovely evening. Thank you for making our celebration one to remember x
My wife and I went for our wedding anniversary and were not disappointed. Everything was cooked to perfection and we had a glass of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival, so great attention to detail by the waiting staff (I'd previously mentioned the anniversary when booking the table).
Would highly recommend booking at least a week in advance, especially during the current climate, as we saw plenty of people turned away.
Absolutely delicious meal and the chocolate St Emilion was the best chocolate desert I have ever had (and I have had a lot). Would highly recommend.
Authentic French food, served in a friendly manner.
