Absolutely horrendous.
They did not honor my confirmed reservation on Open Table. We drove 40 minutes to the restaurant and they just said they had no room even though I showed them the reservation. We were left all the way across Paris from where we were staying with no where to go. It was Valentines Day so every where was full.
THEY DO NOT TAKE OPENTABLE RESERVATIONS! AVOID!
Good food. Good price. Will definitely come back.
Chez Julien has one of the most charming rooms in Paris. The food and service are equally appealing. No trip to Paris is complete without a visit!
I arrived early for my reservation and essentially was abandoned. After sharing I had a reservation I just stood awkwardly in the restaurant until finally a server explained they were very busy and I could sit outside or at the table by the door. I led myself to the table and waited patiently for a server. A server never arrived so I quietly escorted myself out. Discouraging.
Don’t go. The most disorganized restaurant we have been to. They got lots of customers from Opentable but don’t seem to appreciate and simply don’t have the capacity to handle the work. It took 10 minutes for them to find us a tiny table next to the door on a very cold winter evening. The food is extremely expensive for very tiny portion. No dessert menu was provided. The waitress simply told us only two desserts available: one chocolate and the other passion fruit/vanilla. You could have two much nicer French meals paying less in NYC. What a shame for whoever runs the restaurant.
Very good food, friendly service, nice ambience.
Really Nice Food and atmosphere.
Professional and helpful staf
Great desserts and cocktail
Higly recommend
Really poor experience, waiters were eating left over fries from the table next to us. The steak was still cold and raw. Mixed up meals and was overall a disappointing experience for a €200+ meal. Take your money elsewhere and enjoy the real Paris.
Multiple server mistakes ruined the dinner. Food quality was good, but a nice dinner is meant to go with wine. Won’t return.
Wonderful decor, great food and amazing staff.
The historical place that used to be a bakery 200 years ago still has the charming painted ceiling and a quaint ambience. We all enjoyed the personal service of the main maître de. My husband's cod was a bit undercooked which was the only negative. If it had been a little nicer weather we would have enjoyed eating outside as well. Glad we tried it!
This is a wonderful Parisian restaurant, highly recommended!
One word ‘Chicken’
Chicken was fantastic!
Very romantic restaurant for a late night date in Paris. The service was great, the ambiance was even better. My steak was cooked to perfection and the creme brûlée is some of the best I’ve ever had. The risotto had amazing flavor but it was a little crunch. We were the last table of the the night though so I’ll cut them some slack, literally 15 min before closing. Chez Julian is highly recommended!
We dined here three times on our trip and loved it! The service is a little slow, but they are very friendly and professional. The food was great and they have a good wine and cocktails selection. It is very cozy on the inside and they have a lot of outdoor seating as well. The dessert menu was short and just OK.
The most perfect meal in Paris. The chicken is to die for and the Le Julien cocktail is amazing too.
Lovely atmosphere .Nice food and great staff. The tables extended to a little side street and although seats were close together it made for a good atmosphere .Thoroughly enjoyable evening.
Holiday birthday
Iconic place. Quite pricey for the portion sizes is my only critique. The ambience was perfect for a romantic candlelit dinner. The food was phenomenal and the cocktails as well. Make sure to make reservations in advance. I had the Ravioli and it was to die for. The waiters are helpful and when its cold outside, they have blankets for you. There is not a lot of seating indoors.
Quaint Parisian restaurant
Disappointing service for a 40th birthday dinner
Parisienne perfection—beautifully crafted selections served with marvelous attention to detail and a Beaux-Arts vibe. A setting suited for conversation; attentive, professional staff; an unbeatable location where the Marais meets the Seine; a truly remarkable experience. Expect to spend some serious money; it will be worth it.
Charming. Absolutely charming in a classic Parisian setting. Delightful outdoor space as well. Highly recommend.
un po' piu' caro di quanto ci aspettassimo, cibo comunque molto buono
They claim to have Chateaubriand-however it’s just a fleet with frites
Mine was to cooked rare- it arrived medium
Boone came to check to see if the food arrived - very disappointing
Steak over cooked and overpriced. Server fantastic. Great location.
Outstanding service. Delightful young lady. Sat outside. Food was some of the best we’ve had in Paris. Fish was spectacular. A bit pricey but worth it!
I loved everything about my dinner and the service. I would eat here again.
Great food and service.
No había sill de chicos
We liked this place so much that we went back a second time in our one week trip to Paris! Delicious food, reasonable for its quality, very romantic setting and charming waitstaff. We will be dreaming of that chateaubriand for many years to come.
Birthday Party
Amazing Sunday Lunch !
Great staff and food highly recommend it !!!
We love Chez Julien
Had the Cote de Veau. Superb! Salad Verte also grand. Ambience wonderful.
Good welcome and service . Food was excellent . I did say on booking that it was a birthday celebration - but nothing mentioned - however great restaurant .
It was just totally oversold
Ordered the chateaubriand and frites - medium rare. It was slightly over cooked but not too badly. However it was very tough. Frites were good. The foie gras with truffles starter was sub par. You can get better stuff from any shops off the shelf. One guy has to serve the whole restaurant and needless to say he couldn’t handle it. You have to walk up to him to order wine. I had a good impression ten years ago but I certainly would not go again.
