Sriracha & Honey (Gluten free), Korean BBQ, Salt & Pepper (Gluten free)
Panko coated, deep fried & served with our katsu curry sauce with a garnish of pickles. Chicken, Sweet potato (vegetarian)
Chicken pieces marinated in fresh turmeric, lemongrass, chilli & served with spicy peanut sauce
Table wasn’t initially available, even though it was booked. Table found, cleaned and left soaking wet, seats not dried. I had to get paper towels from the bar.
Food order taken incorrectly, so incorrect food came out, but was changed. Pad Thai and chicken waffle stone cold. One dish ordered and didn’t come out, chased and later told not available. 40 mins between first dish and last, so you couldn’t eat dishes together. Very disappointed as this was to celebrate my sons 21st birthday.
Great menu choices and the food is amazing. Staff are really pleasant and the service excellent.
First time here and staff were friendly and polite. Food was amazing will definitely dine here again
This is our second visit to Chi. A great place. Nice decor. Amazing food, we are figuring out our favourites. Great service and friendly staff.
This restaurant provided great service from friendly efficient staff Great food from a varied menu I highly recommend
After our meal a waitress came over and asked if we wanted to order desserts as they need to let the kitchen know now so we had no time to decide. We also asked to order more drinks at 9.55 and was told we could only have soft drinks as the cocktails were probably packed away?!
Not a place I would revisit unfortunately.
Enjoyed the food, friendly staff. Staff were unclear about what item might be a starter. King Pao chicken had no heat as expected in it and was drowning in watery, salty sauce in a cheap looking bowl. The Chicken Satay was very tasty but one piece had grizzle in it, so spoiler overall experience.
Nice new venue, good selection of food and drinks. Not your classic Indian fayre, so something to be aware of, but we enjoyed what we had. The menu is a meze/sharing type thing, and each dish comes out when it is cooked, which we weren't too sure about, but it actually worked really well, as everything was hot and fresh when it arrived, and there was only 5-10 mins difference so not like you're sat waiting for the next thing to arrive.
Not the cheapest place to visit, so check prices beforehand if not sure. Food was good quality though and we couldn't fault the service.
Nice food, variety and lovely lovely table service
Beef rib was dry and burned.
Sushi was with barely visible chicken. Just rice..
Greeted and seated was fine.
Order taken and arrived quickly, unfortunately the Chicken Ramen was half raw! Worryingly raw chicken being served!
Dessert (Apple Tart Tatin) was cold
Service was great but the food was worryingly awful and potentially dangerous!
Fantastic from the moment we walked in to leaving. Food was amazing, the service was fantastic. Cannot fault anything. We are very excited to return. Highly recommend this place!
We had a lovely time, the staff were very good and the food was great
The staff was not friendly, one of the waitress was very unhappy, when she brush a floor she kicked a chair, her face was pouty from what she do.one table can't cleaned by 3 waitress properly. When we order a food, was missing some ingridiets.
Great food, service and atmosphere, lots of great choices, all comes out when it's ready so don't have a table full of cold food.
The food was delicious and at a reasonable price. Have already booked to go again
Food was great but unfortunately we had to wait 40 mins before our order (for food AND drinks) was taken.
Understaffed and poorly managed I'm afraid.
Customer service was very poor, every time we asked a question to the staff they would not know and always say " 1 mintue let me ask someone who will know". Very slow response from the staff. Waiting around for a very long time to speak to staff. Other people around were also getting frustrated as they had been seated but no one came to them for 20/30 minutes. 1 card machine through the whole restaurant so we had to wait a good 15 minutes before we got the machine to pay.
Really good food, but terrible service. I’ve visited 3 times and every time the same poor service. Rude, unorganised, inexperience and inattentive waitresses - lack of management on the restaurant floor to guide the staff.
The food is amazing but the service is very slow, which ruins the experience. Seems that they are under staffed and need more people to work tables as this is a popular restaurant
Love the food a bit over priced but very tasty, my third time there in 5 months.
It was the 3rd time we have been something has changed here ! The usual busy restaurant was so quiet with plenty of staff . They missed something off the order the food was ok but not up too it’s usual standard. The service was beyond shocking ! We were left waiting at the door to be seated for ages , no one really cared that the food was missing , the bill took ages , staff chatting and messing around in kitchen. Wearing trainers just not the same experience as the previous visits ! We will not be returning in a hurry
Service was very poor and certain staff were very rude. We walked in and was told the restaurant was full so we could not be seated despite having a booking reservation for 7pm. Then someone else came and sat us down after apologising for the confusion. They tried to seat us on wet seats before someone else came over to offer us new seats that were dry. The food was lovely- no faults apart from a few things were unavailable.
Took a time to clear our table and when it came to clearing our things the girl came over and was quite rude, did not ask if we wanted desserts so we had to request them only to be told we was too late to order them and things weren’t available.
The next problem was the bill, the girl was so rude and didn’t even speak only passed the receipt and held the card reader. I asked if we could split the bill and she rolled her eyes. I requested the service charge was removed. She went over to the till split the bill but did not remove the service charge, when I queried it she said ‘well that’s what I did I split it and you have to pay it, it is what it is’. She then walked off and someone else came over who agreed that the service charge was not removed, she sorted it for us but the previous girl took our payments and then walked off without saying a thing, not even offering a receipt. I had to go and find someone else to provide us with a receipt.
Overall, lovely food, poor service from some staff with very big attitude problems. Very disappointing.
Food was forgotten. Had to ask for things wait staff seemed uninterested
delicious and good value food. Definitely will go again.
Cramped table and slow service. One of our party had to stand to eat one of his courses
I’ve been to Chi three times. Food is always good but the service is poor. A lack of training I think and staff being a little switched off. Food doesn’t arrive in an orderly fashion which fine when your on a table sharing but when other table members are sitting for 10 mins watching you eat waiting for their meal it takes away from going out to enjoy a meal together. I really hope that service is addressed because the food is lovely when it comes. I do recommend going but don’t be shocked with the service.
Just aweful service from start to finish. They were clearly understaffed, undertrained and appeared to have no organisation to their efforts. We stood for some time in the entrance waiting to be noticed and seated. Once seated the wait continued to be asked what drink we wanted and orders taken. During our meal at no point did any one check if our meal was OK, if we needed drinks top ups or take away empty / finished plates. Once finished we waited around half an hour before anyone noticed we were finished and only got noticed by actively flagging someone for the bill. Really really poor and as a business multiple opportunities missed for them to ask us if we wanted more drinks or desert to make more money. Really unimpressed and won't be going back.
Expensive and service was not good . Left sitting for a long time at the table . Desserts served separately 10 mins between each dish
I ordered 3 dishes. Bulgogi ribeye, Kung Pao chicken and Egg fried rice. The waitress tried to serve me duck that I hadn't ordered. When thee beef turned up it was hard as rock and had no sauce on it don't think it was ribeye. The kung pao chicken was just a bowl of extremely salty soy flavoured water with 6 small pieces of chicken in it. Not kung pao chicken that I know and it was sent back. The egg fried rice tasted ok, except for the large chunks of spring onion on it instead of wafer thin slices.
"Asian Favourites" is on the wall of the restaurant the food is nothing like the description on the menu.
The chefs are not asian and have no idea what they are doing. I will not recommend it to anyone.
Always can depend on Chi for exceptional service and food.
Superb menu just need to visit plenty more times to work through the whole menu.
Waitresses very friendly too
Lovely dinner, atmosphere and staff. Will definitely be coming back.
Food inedible, ordered a non fish dish and smelt gone off! Waitress came over and asked how food was and we said not good. Food was replaced but staff then became rude and made us feel very unwelcome. Very disappointed as had the same meal about 3 weeks again and was really nice. Would not recommend or go again.
If you enjoy Asian cuisine, this would be the place to go.
The choices are limited but your favourites should be there.
If it weren't for poor customer service, this place wouldn't have been so bad.
Really disappointed; I was really looking forward to Chi - the menu looked great. The first encounter you have at any venue sets the tone and we were met, after standing at the entrance desk for 5 mins or so, by a lady whose first words to us were “have you booked”. Not “hi” or “welcome to Chi” but a dismissive tone almost expecting to be able to turn us away. The restaurant decor is really lovely - the flowered ceiling is really cool and I loved the seating. Unfortunately the restaurant was using one of the tables to our right as a ‘station’ - wrapping of cutlery from a dishwasher cutlery basket, staff drinks, paperwork etc. I was a bit shocked. There are no started, mains, desserts; you order and everything comes out tapas style which I love. The food was good apart from the tempura vegetables - one of my favourite dishes but unfortunately on this occasion the batter was far too thick - tempura batter should be very light. The service was fine although the server shared with us that they were understaffed and she had started at 10am so was ready to finish (it was about 8/9pm by then). The concept is great but unfortunately the execution wasn’t so we won’t be going back.
Great meal for a birthday surprise. Food was amazing as always, slightly longer than usual wait to order, but can’t fault it - we will be back soon!
Excellent food and lovely waitresses, the manager let the team down with her attitude and welcome to the restaurant
Wonderful venue and food, looking forward to going again
Booking is very easy on the internet. Service was fast and friendly. Food was served up very quickly and tasty.
Not as good as our first visit, dishes weren't as well cooked. Sushi rice wasn't cooked and was hard
