The Chicago Rib Shack is a London favourite, serving All-American greats including a selection of mouth-watering ribs, juicy burgers and mind-blowingly good chicken - accompanied perfectly by our infamous Onion Loaf (which is still made to the same recipe)! All our ribs are smoked for hours over apple-wood, while our burgers are lovingly hand-minced. Both are served alongside dangerously good milkshakes, classic American craft beers and homemade Ice Teas and Lemonades. Our ‘Rib Shack week’ kicks off with 50% off food every Monday night - yes, you heard correctly! And if you miss that why not treat yourself to one of our many other midweek deals - £1 per wing £1 per rib Wednesday | £12 Burger Thursday or Loaded Frydays!

I had to send my meal back - it was horrible. All the food that came to the table of four looked sad. The others ate some of their meal with the hope that it would taste better than it looked - it didn't! The manger avoided eye contact with us but knew that I had sent my food back - it would have been nice/professional to ask why I was not happy. I will not be going back and have told my local friends to avoid the place too.

Food was not very nice. Had ribs and spicy wings. A bit tasteless had to add extra salt. Beef ribs were also tasteless. Fries and coleslaw was very nice. Pickled slaw that cane with meal was also nice. Water bottle limescale around the neck of bootie so did not drink it. I’ve been to this restaurant before and was much better then

The food and drinks were excellent. The bottomless brunch is an amazing deal as you can have prosecco, bellini's or rum punch! The food was great too. However the service could be greatly improved. My friend was spoken to quite rudely when she asked if we could move to another table. Also we didn't get our first drinks until 15-20 minutes after we sat down, but they still tried to stop our brunch an hour and a half after we first sat down. Waiter's were great, just the front of house could be improved as this is the first impression!

Service was very good however within 20 minutes we had sat down and nearly finished our food and it came out piping hot which led me to believe most of it had been microwaved cause it came out exceptionally quick. Also we had booked for the bottomless brunch and was ordering the rum punch. Every time I watched the barman pour the drinks and he literally may as well not put the rum in. He didn’t measure and just dribbled a little in. We were essentially drinking fruit juice.
Wouldn’t go back even on an offer.

Went for brunch with my friend - initially disappointed because we had specifically asked for a booth and were told to sit in the middle of the restaurant on a very small and uncomfortable table but I had a bad leg. The food portion was so small (so we had to make a quick stop at McDonalds after) but we made up for that with bottomless Bellinis. The place was clean and the staff were okay.

Not quite what we expected. The venue was small and tables too close together. Not all brunch menu choices were available - we were particularly looking forward to the Huevos Rancheros. However, the drinks choice was good, although the rum punch was very weak.

Service was OK and the staff friendly. This venue would make a great bar rather than restaurant.

We really enjoyed our evening here, the only reason for the loss of a star was they forgot the drinks we ordered, but when we reminded them they apologised and bought them straight over. The food was good, and the staff were polite and didn't rush us. Also very easy to find, right next to Clapham High Street station!

Very good atmosphere, service very slow not worth the mandatory service charge 10%. Food was tasty however dry nothing special! First time going back since restaurant was at Knightsbridge where hot BBQ sauce was served which would of made food 5/5. I think the worst part was waiting for food to be cleared one of the most annoying things once you have stuffed your faces is to look and at your food for the another 20mins. Our waiter was very polite and happy. Thank you for the experience brought back some memories :-).

Second or third time at the Rib Shack in Clapham and I always find it a good experience. Our party had a combination of meals, which arrived in good time and were presented nicely. I myself had the Tigers fries and the combination of sauces made them very good. I had perhaps hoped that there was some sort of rib starter but it wasn't the end of the world. Value for money is just about right, shame the Goose Island draft pushes over £6 but I will be back at some point in the future to have the ribs. Worth noting they do some great weekday deals, which I would probably go back for as we went on Saturday evening, right before it was about to get busy, which was good.

We used a groupon voucher which was very good value for money... if you're just going for the bottomless drinks. Unfortunately, we rated the food very low- it was horrible! We ordered the potato hash dish which was okay but the chicken croissant waffle dish was disgusting. Service was amazing! Drinks were kept flowing and staff were lenient with the time frame. Definitely would recommend for the bottomless drinks alone!!!

The menu is good but portion size for starters very small. The wings way to small for the price and was dry. Burgers had no taste and the ribs well it seems they come out of a packet and just put u set a grill to heat up. No bbq flavor apart from bbq sauce. Overall didn’t enjoy the food much sorry

Food was outstanding - even better than imagined! Service was good until after the main courses - we sat for 45 minutes with no one asking us if we wanted more drinks or desserts or the bill. We did want desserts! But in the end we just had to ask for the bill. Twice. Food was amazing though so will still go again but maybe a different branch!

Amazing Customer services. We have been served by Carlos who is the superstar waiter. Very helpful and friendly. The food was so-so.. Ribs were very dry and burned, chicken wings ok. Desert below average in taste and presentation. Cocktails made by Carlos were great. Overall, due to great customer services, enjoyed the experiences. Kitchen needs different chef for sure...

Absolutely empty midweek weds. The smell of stale chip fat hung in the air from the open kitchen. The range of milkshakes sound great but taste nothing like what you get at GBK, synthetic tasting with cheap ingredients and not rich and creamy and designed to spoil your appetite. Thought the menu lacked variety vs bodeans, food was okay, but you can’t overly go wrong with ribs and chips.

I made a reservation a few weeks back for my birthday celebration and mine and my partners 9 year anniversary. We travelled from Ramsgate in Kent and were so excited to eat here. Our experience started well, with the waiter promptly taking our drinks order, and the restaurant looks so lovely too. Food came out very quickly, but unfortunately this is where the good stuff ends.
We had cajun loaded fries, the Christmas burger, philly cheese steak loaded fries, the double shack burger and some mac and cheese. The chips were cold and sparse. The mac and cheese was delicious but again, cold. The pulled pork in my Christmas burger was fridge temp with lukewarm toppings placed on top.
All i can say is im glad i had my tastecard to discount the price. The food wasnt badly tasting, just cold. There was no mention of my birthday, or our anniversary, and i wouldnt mind so much about the above if it was busy, but there were us and one couple in there.
Such a shame.

We Booked and were excited celebrating my Daughters Birthday because we always love the food especially the Ribs and go to the Westfield one as we were running late I contacted the restaurant to say we were running late and was told that was fine when we got to the Clapham branch after being comfortably seated we noticed it was quite sparse but thought nothing of it we beckoned over our waiter and started to order only to be told they had no ribs as we had traveled so far this wasn’t funny the waiter said that they had just finished but then the manager came over and said they had contacted people throughput the day and I said I hadn’t been contacted neither by phone or email ( considering they had both my number and email address) he came across rude when I said this I even said that when I rang to say we were running late even then this was not mentioned. I then realised that’s why it was so sparse there was another group that was there and they too were celebrating a birthday and said they weren’t contacted either suffice it to say we left and went home unhappy after travelling from Croydon

First time that the service was quite that bad. Sunday lunchtime- not incredibly busy or anything. No service for 20 minutes after getting the menus. Ordered food and pre meal cocktails at the same time. Food came before the cocktails! Kind of defeats the purpose. Wine list took another 5 and wine itself another 10 minutes to arrive (so basically by the end of the meal). Fries were delivered stone cold. The quality of the food was good but the whole meal ruined by the slow and erratic service.

Went to Chicago Rib Shack for my fiance's birthday. They had run out of baby back ribs and ice cream for the Coke float which was a shame, but they offered a good substitute and the ribs we did have were fantastic. Particularly recommend the beef ribs with their special sauce! Waitress was very helpful and even kept hold of a birthday gift we accidentally left behind, until we could pick it up the following day. Not the cheapest place in the world but very good ribs!!

I booked via OpenTable and the table was cleared and made ready 5 minutes before the reservation time. I had to wait for my partner to arrive and whilst waiting I was asked if I wanted a drink. But unfortunately this good start didn’t last.

We ordered a starter to share. When brought to our table the waiter asked if we wanted anything else. I pointed out that we didn’t have plates so could we have two plates. But immediately he left our table he was called over by another table and it became apparent he’d forgotten our plates. I had to ask another member of staff and we got our plates.

The spicy chicken wings were nice and apicy and we had six as our starter.

Ordered ribs for the main, one with fries and one with coleslaw. The coleslaw was a good size portion but the fries were awful. Pre-made french fries but even McDonalds fries are better (not saying much). The rib meat was a bit dry. Had better ribs from Lidl’s!

Shared a cheesecake for dessert. Glad we shared as it would probably have been too much for one as it was quite a dense consistency and could have been half the thickness.

Ordered a bottle of wine (which cost £32!). But what was worse was someone openly drinking fruit juice from a carton they brought with them. No one asked the customer not to. If I’d have known I would have bought my own wine (but I bet I wouldn’t have been allowed). This does nothing for the company.

I’d be surprised if the establishment lasts another year.

The ribs had clearly been precooked prior to ordering, staff don’t really care about their job
