Amazing food! Blackened octopus my favourite. Definitely going back!
Seafood platter is delicious and perfect for 4 people with some sides
We enjoyed the food though the menu was unnecessarily complicated. noisy and poor covid protective measures with diners wandering around without masks and tables too close to each other.
Very good food. Highly recommend to try the ceviche, it’s amazing!
Charming staff, imaginative and super tasty food. Ordered the tasting menu. Will definitely go back.
The food is impressive. However, the outdoor terrace is too enclosed and lacks circulation for how many diners are there, and with so many smokers it became oppressive. The plexiglass rises all the way to the top awning with just the tiniest crack, so there is little ventilation. We don't even consider ourselves to be overly sensitive to smoke, but the air became foggy and even our food ended up tasting like cigarettes. This needs to be reassessed if it is to be used as a fully outdoor space.
Their food is always well balanced, fresh, tasty and healthy. Never disappoints.
An excellent evening with delicious cocktails and original food. Relaxed, friendly, quick service. Recommend.
Superb food as usual! So worth coming back again and again! Keep it up Chicama!
fabulous food, service, value and ambience. Very highly recommended
Súper lovely staff and amazing food.
The outside garden terrace has a great feel to it
Food was fabulous. Period. My only criticism is that it came too quickly. We had a 7pm table so nobody to follow us due to the 10pm COVID ejection so I was at a loss to understand the rush. The tastes were eclectic so there was no benefit of having them all on the table at once. That said, it didn't detract from a superb culinary experience. Highly recommend!
One of the best fish restaurants in London, with a focus on Peruvian cuisine. Went for the tasting menu and was spot on.
Amazing food, lovely setting and very helpful staff
We were quite excited to try the food and we love fish , but we were very disappointed! The service was very slow and rude! We wanted to have our mains as soon as is ready but when we asked for it , waitress Andra was arrogant and not happy with that and wanted to call somebody over to explain us about the restaurant concept while we were having our starters! We ordered the fish platter which was no seasoning , octopus was chewy, we also ordered couple of sides with it and for two of us wasn’t enough food so we had to order another main which was the grilled prawns and were utterly surprised when we received 4 prawns for £17! We would have expressed our disappointment if the waitress would checked on us! In fact we had to awkwardly raise our hands to ask for service! And the last cherry on the top of the cake was when we asked for a warm dessert and the waitress suggested us a chocolate dessert which turned out to be frozen cold, waitress was very surprised when we told her that the dessert isn't warm! At that point we received the bill which was £178 and we were still hungry!
P.S It seem that the staff doesn’t really care about the customers and don’t want to be there! I’m sorry to say it but this is embarrassing! ( there was not "enjoy your meal", "check back" or "how was your food"?)
Excellent seafood restaurant.
Good service and great food.
Try the taster menu.
Vegetarian tasting menu was delicious.
Fabulous well trained staff. We had an issue with our table which the manager sorted quickly and efficiently with a charming manner.
Good fun dinner out, great music and service.
Love this restaurant! Great quality food, nice atmosphere
Good friendly and prompt service. Great fresh fish. Pleasant environment. Prices a bit high but it is Chelsea.
Food wasn’t worth it. We booked a table at 8:45 but the kitchen closes at 9:15. There weren’t many options as well
We weren't able to be seating until 15-20 min after our booking time, and then were not seated in the area we had booked - the staff seemed very busy and we had to work had to get attention to order food and drinks. But the food was INCREDIBLE and the best pisco sours I've had in London. The restaurant is VERY loud, so not the spot if you're after a quite dinner but overall the food was amazing so worth it. Would definitely go again, perhaps weekdays are quieter!
food was not worth the price l. i didint like as i went for a date
It’s the perfect sparky place for a get together
Great and friendly service
Absolutely delicious and sharing food
Lovely fun atmosphere - not too loud, but super buzzy and fun
Fantastic food and service. A real treat. Love it
The ambiance was amazing on the terrace and the service was great, we opted for the vegetarian tasting menu and some of the dishes like the ceviche were amazing but other dishes like the sweet potatoes were bland. the drinks were also great, I would say a good experience but maybe some veg dishes were quite basic which did not do justice to the other great dishes.
Really lovely place, with great staff who made us feel very welcome. Food & drinks were delicious, particularly the Octopus and the Sea Bass Ceviche. Lovely covered, outdoor/conservatory seating, despite the inevitable rain. Definitely will visit again.
Very easy and relaxing, nice food and lovely atmosphere
Vegetarian tasting menu was heavy- the cauliflower and sweet potato were too large without much flavour but everything else was yum. Service was great and liked the vibe.
Absolutely loved it! Great food and great service!
Beautifully decorated and creative dishes, plus an attentive service. Their aubergine is just fabulous! Will be back!
the food is insanely delicious, poke bowls are incredible, and everyone is super nice
The toilet wasn't working/ coffee needs a bit more practice as it was burnt, but it didn't matter as it was lunch, work on the coldness of the place which sadly is covid driven
overall amazing food
Nobody wants seafood for “brunch” - pivot your menu
Firstly, I fully appreciate that they were dealing with new restrictions imposed by the gov a few days earlier, i.e. having to close by 10pm, hence not scoring lower for service, but overall the service was appalling. Our reservation was made for 8:15pm (about 3 weeks before) and we were never shown to a table inside as promised... we had to sit in the al fresco patio area on a cold/windy September evening.
When we arrived, we were asked if we wouldn’t mind waiting outside until a table indoors was ready as they were running ‘a bit late’. We decided at 9pm, after being all but forgotten about and asking the waiting staff several times about our table indoors, to give up on the prospect of getting a table in the warm and decided to make do sitting outside with the patio heater, jackets and a blanket for Warmth. By this point it was already too late to order the tasting menu, the waiting staff on hand gave us a very honest appraisal when asked that an hour wouldn’t be sufficient time, so we ordered some small plates. It’s a real shame because the food was nice and quite reasonable, especially the monkfish cheeks, black rice and grilled prawns.
Having heard great things about the place, we left feeling pretty disappointed. The only saving grace was that the food we did manage to try was good, and the waiting staff were mostly apologetic. One of the younger guys did take it upon himself to make every excuse under the sun to explain away the delay without actually apologising, but given it wasn’t his fault directly I’m willing to overlook the fact it came across as if we were somewhat burdensome to him and wasting his time.
In short, great food but possibly the worst managed restaurant I have had the pleasure of gracing. Can only advise trying to catch a booking at Chicama midweek during a quiet time of day
Food is food, but not great. Food-wise, good value.
The food is excellent and service helpful and swift.
However, they need to workout their booking system. When we arrived (on time) no table was available and, having been stuck in the cold outside for 10 minutes our group of three was crammed on to a small table for two. It was cramped.
The food and drinks were as amazing as ever but we could have done with more space.
The seating here is still cozy. Don't go if you are worried about social distancing!
Amazing starters and Poke Bowl. Good service and Covid procedures
Place and food were nice but service was disappointing
We had a 7.30pm booking. Arrived at 7.39pm to be told we have to sit outside in 13 degrees weather. There were heaters but not adequate and everyone was sitting with two sets of blankets. I showed on my phone how I called at 10.38am that morning to confirm my reservation and no one picked up . I also said they had to tell us in advance if we were going to be told to sit outside in the cold weather. They were non chalant about it completely.
No one customer was required to wear a mask when walking around and it was definitely not enforced. We went to La Famiglia afterwards and the rules were much stricter and I felt much safer but also more welcomed.
Will not be going back.
Excellent all round experience, with great food (as always). Drink selection very good too.
The venue is pushing the limits of the social distancing rules a little, though seated at the bar it didn’t bother us too much..
