Chicama is a seafood restaurant in Chelsea with a menu inspired by the coastal food of Peru and the bold-flavours of Peruvian cuisine. Fish is delivered daily from Cornwall and the vegetable dishes make inventive use of seasonal British produce. The bar exhibits a concise list of our favourite brands including Pisco, Mezcal, Japanese Whiskey, Sake by the glass and a wine list to accompany the vibrantly-flavoured food.

Food & cocktails were really really good!
Service was just minimum considering the price & level of the restaurant, nobody asked if we liked our drinks or if we enjoyed our meal, nor even thanked us while we were leaving.

Regarding service, I was expecting more than just someone writing down what we wanted or clearing our plates (which btw took about 20 min after we’ve finished and even put on the side of the table)

Were there for our anniversary. Was seated in front of the toilet where everybody was passing. We didn’t ever get the chance to order, we had to ask for it. Food that supposed to be hot was served cold. Our last dish took more than 30 min to get, was deducted from the bill. Took ages to get the bill. We weren’t served the shot that they offer when requesting the bill. We poorer our own wine.

food is excellent. very particular.
however, tables are tiny, noise level is huge, and at the end of the evening your clothes will stink of food.
outside eating should be a better option.

Amazing food and service. Ambience is happening and can get loud, so if you’re meeting a friend and want to catch up, request a quieter table. We are regulars at Chicama and can’t wait to come back next week!

My boyfriend surprised me and took me here for my birthday earlier this week, and neither of us had ever been there before. They were flexible on the reservation time, and greeted us at the door - when we told them the name, they all immediately knew it was my birthday, which I thought was really sweet. The restaurant is buzzing enough that it creates a lovely warm atmosphere, but not so loud you can't have a conversation. The decor is lovely, classy yet warm and inviting. The staff really struck the balance with being very attentive without ever feeling like a bother to us. They gave fantastic recommendations, for both food and drinks, and the food was phenomenal. Inventive, Peruvian inspired, delicious. We were so happy throughout. The only criticism (if you can even call it that) was that they were playing house music - not too loudly at all, but it didn't feel fitting with the restaurant. That being said, we both appreciate that this is personal taste, and it definitely did not ruin the night. All things considered, food, people, location - this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Our particular recommendations include the barbecue plantain, popped corn monkfish cheeks, tapioca marshmallow, crispy aubergine and blackened octopus. Dessert was banana and yuzu ice cream - divine. Thank you so very much to all staff at Chicama for going above and beyond to make our night so special.

Food was disappointing (the sea bass in our ceviche was not fresh! and the rest of the dishes were mediocre and far from Peruvian). It was unpleasantly loud. The waiters were arrogant and rude.

Probably one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time! It is a hidden gem which I plan to visit often (already booked a table for my next visit!)

The ambiance was so energetic and fresh.

The staff were really friendly and attentive. They also recommended a few dishes which were delicious.

The food is fresh and delecious and we tried so many different dishes and ingredients together which just created these beautiful and colourful dishes.

Overall this is a lovely restaurant and a must try spot in London!

Food was tasty and service was outstanding. The staff made us feel welcomed. Seating was a bit cramped indoors so we got a table in their garden. They had heaters and warm blankets to make the experience cosy.

Food is a must try for any foodie! Can’t complain about any of the dishes we had. It was slightly on the expensive side as most Peruvian restaurants in London are.

Really delicious food with a very strong focus on fresh, well-cooked seafood. The sharing-style menu has quite a lot of variety, so there should be something for everyone, though fish-fans in particular will really like the dishes here. Standouts included the spicy crab and green papaya salad and the octopus, and we really enjoyed the sprouting broccoli with coffee-infused dip and miso aubergine from the vegetarian menu. The cocktails were tasty, though small in size - which brings me to the main fault with this restaurant. The food and rink are very pricey, and I was particularly disappointed to find that what looked and tasted like tap water in a refillable carafe was actually charged £2.50.
I'd still recommend this restaurant as the food was amazing in my view, but it's moreso an 'every once in a while' treat than a regular haunt.

The food experience was excellent and can hardly be faulted. The aubergine was very unique and the prawns were exceptional. Unfortunately the service was a bit lacking - we sat with our water for over 20 minutes before someone came over (we were deep in conversation, but no one noticed us and the resto was half full).
