don't be impertinent issuing instructions
Nice food and cooked freshly but bery small portion for what you pay for
A very disappointed experience - very noisy , food was without any taste ( courgette beignets / tapioca marshmallows) ceviche not as good as at Coya- wines by the glass were not good ...
Food & cocktails were really really good!
Service was just minimum considering the price & level of the restaurant, nobody asked if we liked our drinks or if we enjoyed our meal, nor even thanked us while we were leaving.
Regarding service, I was expecting more than just someone writing down what we wanted or clearing our plates (which btw took about 20 min after we’ve finished and even put on the side of the table)
Food has improved since I went there just after it opened. Wonderful experience and will go back again and again.
The food is really nice. We asked for non-spicy and unfortunately some of the dishes were spicier than we hoped for.
Were there for our anniversary. Was seated in front of the toilet where everybody was passing. We didn’t ever get the chance to order, we had to ask for it. Food that supposed to be hot was served cold. Our last dish took more than 30 min to get, was deducted from the bill. Took ages to get the bill. We weren’t served the shot that they offer when requesting the bill. We poorer our own wine.
Some of the best food I’ve ever had. And service was phenomenal
Great cocktails, amazing food. Shame we didn’t have space to try the dessert but will have to go back next time for it!
Fun restaurants to go to. All dishes are interesting and tasty and a little different which I like.
food is excellent. very particular.
however, tables are tiny, noise level is huge, and at the end of the evening your clothes will stink of food.
outside eating should be a better option.
Outstanding and different! A must. The cuisine is delicate and exotic. Love the taste and the spices.
Won't go 2 times.
Amazing food and service. Ambience is happening and can get loud, so if you’re meeting a friend and want to catch up, request a quieter table. We are regulars at Chicama and can’t wait to come back next week!
My boyfriend surprised me and took me here for my birthday earlier this week, and neither of us had ever been there before. They were flexible on the reservation time, and greeted us at the door - when we told them the name, they all immediately knew it was my birthday, which I thought was really sweet. The restaurant is buzzing enough that it creates a lovely warm atmosphere, but not so loud you can't have a conversation. The decor is lovely, classy yet warm and inviting. The staff really struck the balance with being very attentive without ever feeling like a bother to us. They gave fantastic recommendations, for both food and drinks, and the food was phenomenal. Inventive, Peruvian inspired, delicious. We were so happy throughout. The only criticism (if you can even call it that) was that they were playing house music - not too loudly at all, but it didn't feel fitting with the restaurant. That being said, we both appreciate that this is personal taste, and it definitely did not ruin the night. All things considered, food, people, location - this was one of the best meals I have ever had. Our particular recommendations include the barbecue plantain, popped corn monkfish cheeks, tapioca marshmallow, crispy aubergine and blackened octopus. Dessert was banana and yuzu ice cream - divine. Thank you so very much to all staff at Chicama for going above and beyond to make our night so special.
Always great food. My go to local restaurant. Never disappoints.
Food was disappointing (the sea bass in our ceviche was not fresh! and the rest of the dishes were mediocre and far from Peruvian). It was unpleasantly loud. The waiters were arrogant and rude.
This gem is an easy walk from our flat making it a great choice for a special evening. We were particularly impressed with the Peruvian beer and sparkling wine!
Probably one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a long time! It is a hidden gem which I plan to visit often (already booked a table for my next visit!)
The ambiance was so energetic and fresh.
The staff were really friendly and attentive. They also recommended a few dishes which were delicious.
The food is fresh and delecious and we tried so many different dishes and ingredients together which just created these beautiful and colourful dishes.
Overall this is a lovely restaurant and a must try spot in London!
Very tasty food, very friendly service. They were particularly patient. They were very accommodating to our small child. The open kitchen is fun.
Great service, superb food, nice ambiance, highly recommended!
The best Peruvian place in London! Always fresh fish, amazing pisco sours, great ceviche, highly recommend
Delicious, unusual seafood, wonderful flavours & excellent Pisco Sours!
Excellent fresh ingredients and good presentation. Some nice menu innovations I have not come across before. Very friendly helpful service - for example a glass of Cava had no bubbles when it arrived and was changed without hesitation and with a nice apology.
Food was tasty and service was outstanding. The staff made us feel welcomed. Seating was a bit cramped indoors so we got a table in their garden. They had heaters and warm blankets to make the experience cosy.
Food is a must try for any foodie! Can’t complain about any of the dishes we had. It was slightly on the expensive side as most Peruvian restaurants in London are.
Great vibe and atmosphere. Lovely, creative food that not only looks beautiful but also tastes delicious.
Delicious, fresh and authentic Peruvian flavours. Friendly staff. Excellent pisco sours. Considerably overpriced for the portion sizes.
Really delicious food with a very strong focus on fresh, well-cooked seafood. The sharing-style menu has quite a lot of variety, so there should be something for everyone, though fish-fans in particular will really like the dishes here. Standouts included the spicy crab and green papaya salad and the octopus, and we really enjoyed the sprouting broccoli with coffee-infused dip and miso aubergine from the vegetarian menu. The cocktails were tasty, though small in size - which brings me to the main fault with this restaurant. The food and rink are very pricey, and I was particularly disappointed to find that what looked and tasted like tap water in a refillable carafe was actually charged £2.50.
I'd still recommend this restaurant as the food was amazing in my view, but it's moreso an 'every once in a while' treat than a regular haunt.
One of my favourites! Creative cuisine with beautiful flavours. Wonderful ceviche and tasty starters.
Amazing pisco !
The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was very attentive.
A very enjoyable culinary experience. A great range of authentic seafood dishes and drinks to accompany them. Very attentive and energetic service at a reasonable price.
One of the best Peruvian restaurants in London. Always fresh fish. Beautifully presented. Delicious cauliflower. Amazing pisci sours.
Great quality food, service and friendly greeting. Wide choice of dishes with some unusual presentation that was a delight.
The food experience was excellent and can hardly be faulted. The aubergine was very unique and the prawns were exceptional. Unfortunately the service was a bit lacking - we sat with our water for over 20 minutes before someone came over (we were deep in conversation, but no one noticed us and the resto was half full).
Everything was exactingly cooked and flavoured. Staff were warm and genuinely engaging. Cocktails were perfectly prepared with just the right balance. Couldn’t ask for more.
Wonderful evening, I have now been officially coming to Chicama twice a week :) loved the seasonal menu changes and perfectly hand curated cocktails. What a gem close by our house. Can’t resist.
My new favourite restaurant in Chelsea. The food is to die for and you are left feeling satisfied yet not guilty as all their ingredients are healthy and superb.
Excellent food and amazing drinks
