Freshly prepared seafood served in a simple off the grill style was perfect for casual night out with friends. Nice variety of sharing plates to select from. Staff was very professional and informed about both the food and wine options.

A very nice, kindly and worm ambient. The squid is amazing if you need an advice. Very nice music, atmosphere. The only thing I didn't like is the cavolo nero salsa, but probably because the taste is too strong.

I have been going to chicama since 2017 . Not sure if you have changed chef or cuisine approach but I found the fish (in the same dish I also ordered in the past) was not the main protagonist but lots of other / dressing / creams which ruined the fish taste and overall dish. Same for the tuna tartare , there was so much avo cream, fried leeks that the fish was really difficult to taste . Not sure if come back in case I was unlucky with the dishes I chose. It’s been my fav restaurant in London for years.

Service was shocking. Staff are just chatting and laughing with each other. They need training. When you suggest how they can improve they give you a filthy look instead of being grateful and learning by their mistakes. Such a shame as everything else about the restaurant great

Chicama is an absolute gem of a restaurant. This is our second visit and it was equally as special as the first. The staff could not have been more polite and attentive and the food was exceptionally good. We were unable to get a table inside as they were full so were seated on the terrace under heaters and with blankets. (This turned out to be a good thing as the noise levels inside were extremely high and the lovely terrace is serene). My one suggestion is that the grill on the pavement side of the terrace would be far more effective if it had some kind of hard material against it (perspex?) to keep the heat in and keep the wind out. Chicama is not cheap, but it's worth every penny. A real treat.

We moved from the terrace indoors but inside was quite noisy which we new from previous visits. The terrace is perfect for summer evenings but during winter even with heaters it is too cold.

Ordered the tasting menu and it came within a minute of ordering . Even before our wine! Rushed through each course. We had to ask them to slow down and were told that we only had an hour! Very light food and didn’t feel full. Wine expensive. Service poor and quite perfunctory. Wouldn’t go back. Not good value for money and didn’t particularly like the unfriendly service.

Excellent service and extremely accommodating staff. Food was delicious, a favourite being the popcorn monk cheeks! Would definitely recommend if your looking for a cozy, tasty fish restaurant!

Excellent food! The only thing for us was we ended up booking an outdoor seating on a freezing cold night and the seat we had was next to the heater which wasn't working :(. Half way through the meal I saw some empty tables inside while going to the ladies and requested to be moved in. Which they promptly did.

An amazing experience - one of the most incredible meals out - the service was so welcoming and friendly, every single course on the tasting menu absolutely delicious. It wasn’t cheap but worth every penny!

Lovely food with great flavours and choice. Popcorn monkfish cheeks, padron peppers, tarama were great starters, followed by squid, tuna ceviche, cauliflower and incredible monkfish tail. Good wine choice. Too full for dessert but a plate of chocolate mousse/fondant was given for a birthday surprise with a card! Lovely touch. Service friendly and unpretentious with very little waiting around.

We sat at the bar which was cramped. The drinks are overpriced and served in obnoxiously small glasses. We asked if they had chilli sauce to accompany the plain battered soft shell crab and the manager told us that wouldn’t go well with it but then proceeded to tell us he didn’t have any chilli. We then asked the waiter who asked the chef to make us a spicy sauce which was really good. Apart from the tasteless soft shell crab, the food is amazing and that’s the only good thing about this place.

Had an amazing time at Chicama with my partner for our first anniversary. The seafood platter was more than enough for two people and they were kind enough to give us two complimentary digestives at the end of our meals. 10/10 would recommend.
