A short walk from St John’s Wood High Street and Abbey Road, Chicken Shop serves rotisserie chickens that are marinated overnight, steamed and then spit-roasted over charcoal. Burger fans are in luck, too: there’s a DIRTY BURGER outpost under the same roof.

What a great place. The air conditioner meant there was a slight cold draft, but that aside, everything else was great.

I had a bad experience with booking a table for 4 for lunch here via OpenTable just after my son's school broke up for the holidays. When I got there, they had no record of my reservation. There was another mum there with the same problem and a bigger group. The staff didn't apologise or communicate effectively or manage the situation to seat people in an orderly or fair way. It was chaos. Then people who came in after us were served before us. The burgers are sloppy - a real mess and not really so special. The table we were at was literally in front of the door and on a cold day it was opened dozens of times during our lunch. Meanwhile there was a second door that was locked and not adjacent to the tables. They need to use the other door or move the table. It is really unpleasant the way it is. For the privilege of being stressed and uncomfortable and for mediocre food we then paid way way too much.

Love it!! This was our second visit. Even better than the first. The food is great - the generous portions of apple pie to die for and the chicken tasty!! Great fun dining experience. The staff are the nicest. We will be back!!
