Decent experience. How too make it better? More space between tables. Premium cuts make the rounds as often as the sirloins. Had to ask for certain cuts to come by. Only saw the bacon wrapped filet, filet, New York strip and flank steak come by once for the two hours we were there. Many times the servings were cut very thin. They had the AC running on the coldest day. Asked to move or adjust the air but nothing. Went for my son’s birthday and had to sell Chima over Fogo so we could compare. He wanted Parmesan pork and I told him the website says they have it so he agreed to go to Chima. He was disappointed to be told they no longer serve it despite being on the website. I am not sure we will return. Maybe for the $20 off coupon but that has a very short time to use.
Overall food was great.
Delicious food, attentive staff, clean, nice music, just excellent overall
Great service by Andrew. Food was great as usual. Will definitely be going back soon.
Came with parents for their first experience and it was great! Didn’t feel rushed and a great experience overall.
The serving sizes were better than Texas de Brazil and Fogo de
Chao; however, the meats all tasted super bland. Everyone at the table continued to add salt, and at times pepper, simply to add some flavor to the meats. Extremely disappointed considering a friend highly recommended it. The most flavorful dish was the pineapple with cinnamon, sad to say at a churrasqueria.
We reserved a table on line saying that we were celebrating my son's 18th birthday. When we arrived we were given a table by the front door so no attention is given to a special celebration. We asked to be moved and the reception did move us but it was next to the kitchen. Although we ordered the full selection, we had to ask for a serving of the select cuts like the filet and the lamb chop. Sausage, chicken, and flank steak were readily available. The wait staff did come by to ask if we needed anything and we asked for some other selections to be brought to the table. Not sure why the reception and wait staff all ask if we are celebrating a special occasion if they don't do anything to recognize it. A pleasant experience overall but there is room for improvement.
Great service!! Wendy is an amazing bartender. Our waiter was also great, only call out about the restaurant is that we got seated next to the vacuums and dust pans in the dining area
The food was great and the service was awesome. The ambiance was good too
The grilled pineapple is fantastic and a delicious addition since the last time I was there.
Its not like before , bad service, meat was bad quality this time.
It was great as always, but we were quite cold seated by the door. Will request a different table during the winter.
The quality of meat was very bad. I won’t go there again.
Chima is now one of my top restaurants after just one visit. The salad bar was loaded with fresh and premium foods and sides, and the service was truly fantastic. Chima provides a selection of excellent cuts of beef and fish, delivered to your table at your convenience throughout the evening. If you have not yet tried this place, please do yourself a favor and take the time to visit. I look forward to returning in the near future.
Andrew was fabulous, and the food was amazing as always!
My last visit was not as expected. Very noisy, did not get any picanha until when we were already full, and did not receive $20 gift card.
The food was excellent, the attention super, my wife and me very happy
Like all its competitors in the Brazilian BBQ genre, Chima is better at some things and not as much in others. The meats are good but not seasoned as strongly as they are in Brazil, the mashed potatoes are soft and creamy just like in Brazil, and the rice, beans and pork dish is the best of the three Brazilian BBQ chains that I frequent. Chima's best feature is its extensive salad bar, which is worth the visit on its own. Chima also has a more complete beer selection, and an impressive wine list, although the wine prices seem a little high. The service is fast, and the dining room noise level more comfortable than most.
meat was delicious , salad bar amazing restaurant week special very good price
Really bad costumer service I'm not sure if I'm coming back .🤔
Chima in Tyson's Corner is always excellent. When we went last Friday the food wasn't quite up to par from previous visits but we will still definitely be back.
The quality/taste of the various cuts of meat were as good as we remembered. Service was good. Wine is a little pricey, but overall a great way to celebrate an occasion if you come Hungary.
Great food! Great atmosphere!
Everything was good but some of the meats and foods were bland.
Meh. Was hoping to have a special Brazilian steak-house experience for my Brazilian girlfriend, on her birthday. Was 'just okay'; far from the expected Brazilian experience. Only ONE employee in the whole joint was from Brazil (Viktor was an amazing server! Very polite and accommodating) Several of the meat skewer servers referred to the prized 'Picanha' as Leg of Lamb. Additionally, hoped that my 'birthday' remark on the Open Table reservation would prompt some sort of small birthday nod/desert surprise. If so, great... If not, no biggie. Having not received said birthday morsel, I asked for desert menus and took my time ordering... Hoping to prompt the birthday consideration... Nothing. So AFTER ordering two separate deserts, the BIRTHDAY CAKE was brought with our two deserts. All 3 deserts at once. Really? This isn't the expected level of service for a $200+ dinner for two? Fell short of expectations. Ciao Chima... Oi Fogo!
Everybody at Chima is very accommodating and friendly. We have been going there for years at least every other week. I would like to recognize Malek, Edwin, Michelle, Yazi and Sam. They are wonderful!
This was our first experience at a Brazilian Steakhouse, and we will definitely come again. Wonderful restaurant, clean and very well kept. Attentive staff, they not only bring you the meat to your table, but also take note of what you like and follow through. Delicious food.
Came here on NYE. Probably only received 3 different cuts of meats. On a busy day like NYE, you would think they'ed have more people walking around serving. Was highly disappointed.
Crowded and very noisy. Did not enjoy where we were seated at all. Our waiter worked hard to make it an enjoyable experience for us but will not return to Chima again for a New Year's dinner.
It was a great way to celebrate the New Year since the food and service was outstanding and loved the complimentary valet parking.
It was great. Our waiter was not top notch but the food was outstanding
Excellent restaurant. The pluses are valet parking. Courteous staff. Outstanding ambiance. Menu outstanding.
Fantastic food and even better service. Couldn’t recommend Chima’s enough.
My eldest Glenn decided that when his family ( including me) travel to D.C. for Thanksgiving and Christmas that we must dine out . Hands down this has been the BEST Brazilian themed restaurant, I have ever experienced ( I reside in Chicago and know food).
Rene was a wonderful server... every single meat with the exception of the Flank Steak was great. So many additional treats were wonderful surprises ( pineapple ). The Salmon ( get the cilantro chutney)and shrimp included were also included. The decor, the wine , I peruse at the salad bar and everything looked fresh.
Two lamb options... I could go on and on. When I return to D.C., I would definitely dine there again. My family enjoyed our Christmas.
The service wasn’t that good the black beans and the rice recalled it took forever for them to bring out hotter black beans and rice it was very noisy the bathrooms were dirty with toilet paper on the floor and countertops need to be wiped.
It just felt like a big cafeteria style and expensive.
Not a very personable experience. We asked if the Christmas menu was special and the reaction we got was indifference, like we were asking a silly question. The type of meats and the desserts are presented to you in an IPad. There was a manager on site but he didn't make an effort to stop by any table. It's almost like they don't want any human interaction.
The meats were okay but bland. The salad bar had many rich offerings.
As always the food was fantastic. The salad bar was amazing the meats delicious. And Eric our server was really good
Chima is my "Go To" for Brazilian Rodizio. Having lived in Brazil for many years and studying the art of the Brazilian BBQ, Chima does it best. The General Manager Juarez is one of the nicest and best managers I know. He truly cares about people and product! This is our annual tradition to eat at Chima for Christmas dinner, then go home and open presents! Our waiter was also phenomenal, always on top of the table, in a non intrusive way, trying to ensure we have all we need. I highly support and recommend this place!
Chima was okay. The time between meats was sometimes 15-20 minutes which kind of killed the experience and made it feel like it was not worth nearly $60/person. When we got the grilled meats they tasted good - the salad bar was okay, but we didn’t want to fill up on cold veggies. Overall it was okay and it certainly wasn’t worth the price in our eyes. For two people with one drink each we spent nearly $150. We would have much rather gone to a nice sit down restaurant or steakhouse and spent just as much on a better quality meal and drinks... and maybe even dessert.
Great food - very generous with meat and the quality is far better than Fogo and Texas de Brazil. Meat comes out very hot and they have great variety. Salad bar is wonderful. Servers are very professional and very good. Some things took slightly longer than expected but it was no problem.
