I really couldn't fault the food, it was lovely. It was a real shame that the service was pretty poor not in the speed (which was really good) but in the lack of attentiveness. We were seated for about 20 mins before drink order was taken and then there was no engagement following the food arriving. Tried a number of times to get the attention of the floor staff to order more drinks but we felt a little ignored. We may have just experienced a bad night as there was reluctant and limited explanation of the menu when we asked about various things.

Excellent food, a lovely, subdued atmosphere and a great meal for the four of us. Service was efficient and, for the most part, welcoming and friendly. I'd recommend Chop Chop to anyone and will return.

The food was incredible and really good! The waitress that took care of our table was not really kind though. My friends couldn’t speak english correctly and she would just wave at them when they didn’t understand and leave. One of my friends didn’t finish her meal and she just grabbed her plate and left with it before we could even say anything.

Everything was ok, the food, the service, atmosphere etc. Had salt and pepper prawns which were good then roast duck and pancakes. Roast duck was over cooked and too crispy, the pancakes were standard and the cucumber and spring onions didn’t taste of much at all. Service was quick, but not good enough really. I wouldn’t go back, as I am sure there are much better restaurants around.

We understand the importance of consistently delivering high-quality dishes, but perhaps you were looking for the Roast Duck rather than the Crispy Duck (which comes with the pancakes, cucumber and spring onions)? As for the service, the majority of reviews are usually very complimentary so it’s a shame we didn’t hit the mark this time. Please do let us know if you would like to give us another chance.

Arrived and had quite a wait for our table despite there being many tables clear and free and was not communicated why we had to wait. Ordered a cocktail and the glass was dirty. The food was okay but one of our dishes came cold. We were never asked how our food was or if everything was okay.

A first time visit for a pre-show meal. Beautifully decorated restaurant, clean and comfortable. Difficult choosing from the menu as everything looks so delicious. Chop Chop is in a convenient location for the West End theatres being on the lower ground floor of The Hippodrome Casino. Early service (6pm) was rapid and the food was good. In particular the crispy pork (signature meat) was excellent and also the salt and pepper squid was delicious (perfect with just a little sweet chilli dip!) Handy for a pre-show dinner and open late for those who like eating afterwards!

Thank you for your feedback. We do not use chicken powder with any of the pescatarian, vegetarian or vegan dishes; we use mushroom or vegetable powder. The Salt & Pepper is made with custard powder. We pride ourselves in not using MSG but this obviously restricts the options for those with chicken intolerances. We take all allergens and intolerances very seriously and treat it the same as halal food so there is no cross contamination. The Manager and Head Chef approached you; you said everything was good and you "cleared the plates". Service charge is optional so we are happy to refund this. Your experience is not reflective of our usual standards and we take your comments seriously, and we're committed to addressing these concerns to ensure that such incidents do not recur in the future.

Without Prejudice The worst ever chinese meal, We booked on status, however nothing matched reviews William greeted us & tried to seat us at the base of a staircase we saw a better table by the kitchen. Drinks Menu was poor no cocktails offered. William took our order (NOTE other reviews re how fast the food arrives) its served on miniscule dishes TINY not Generous 1st S & P tofu it was bland not hot unseasoned size of tofu 12mm by 6mm really small & yuk not fresh 2nd S & P prawns tasted like flour really dry & tough 6 mini prawns not fresh 3rd ma po tofu it was gross like soup the dish was not fresh, was out of a pot had been stirred often as the Tofu was broken into pea sized bits it was awful unedible 4th 3 meats mix no rice Meats were o k but a measly serve tiny oblong saucer 5th egg f/noodles and veg a tiny dish for two persons the noodles over cooked the veg you could count 2 pieces of carrot like 10 solitary beanshoots a few canned chopped mushrooms it was awful Our final dishes they had forgotten so we reordered lady was pleasant and said sorry "We Do Now" The 2 dishes were on the table in less tham 3 minutes "thats impossible" 6th course sweet and sour tofu I sampled first gagged and spat it out in my napkin my partner a Tofu lover sampled heaved and spat it in her napkin 7th course choy sum and oyster sauce a slight larger dish the vegetable did not look appetising the oyster sauce was served on the side ???? it was again bland tasteless and was soapy we left 3 full dishes and half of others we complained discreetly to no avail, we have eaten at 4 seasons for years not CASINO this food was pre cooked re heated and totally misrepresented at no time did any wok cooking happen in that kitchen on the night we visited It cost us 150.00 for a Food Hall type meal there were only 8 persons present the time we were there, Shame on you Four Seasons The Robot was annoying ,seriously the place is tiny is laughable

I would comment (as your descriptions are not accurate) but we graciously accept your feedback and regret any inconvenience. Please be assured that our food is cooked to order. We hoped you would have brought this up with the Manager, and did try to find your booking, but to no avail We won't tell the robot as it will just upset him, and we need him to do all the heavy lifting! In any case, thank you for trying us

Decent food & convenient location and opening hours. Very attentive & friendly wait staff. Only downsides are that the food isn’t as good as many other (cheaper) restaurants in Chinatown. Probably wouldn’t eat here again unless it was late and most other things were closed, but wouldn’t dissuade another from trying it, either.

Good service. The chow mein had a little too much oil and under seasoned. The starter was fantastic. Overall a very nice place to eat.
