shallot vinegar & tabasco
Food was high quality beautifully presented and the Porterhouse steak was cooked to perfection
Cocktails were lovely and staff exceptionally helpful and attentive
Well looked after by the team and the food was excellent. Great experience as usual.
The fry’s came already salted ( way to much ). Overpriced as you had to pay for sides even coleslaw when you ordered a steak sandwich..
Unfortunately I can’t rate the food as we didn’t end up having the meal we’d booked due to a technical issue in the kitchen however, the staff couldn’t of dealt with the situation better, there’s never a good time for these things to happen but they offered various solutions & kept us in the loop during our time there. Hopefully the next time we’re back in Edinburgh we’ll be able to come again. Thanks
Good was amazing but they had an unfortunate situation with the gas so table was over 2 hours waiting.
Overall a wonderful experience and you cannot fault the food or cocktails however we arrived fairly early on and instead of spreading the diners out they decided to put us all on the mezanine right by the rails. This lead to us having to hear the table next to us chapping their lips and sucking the juices/sauce off their fingers: not directly the restaraunts fault but this could have been avoided by spreading us out a bit more and would have made our experience their perfect.
Amazing steak, cooked to perfection. Try the cocktails too!
We had an absolutely amazing meal last night! Will definitely recommend to friends and family and return when we come back to Edinburgh 😘
I ordered a shared potter house cooked to medium. The short loin part of steak was extremely hard to chew. Both my partner and I were healthy young adult but we were not able to eat it. They claim the steak were dry aged three months, which I found hard to believe.
Besides, the bill was expensive. They charged us five pounds for a bottle of distilled water and another five pounds for four pieces of thin sourdough.
Overall very bad experience and not recommended at all.
Amazing service! The staff are very lovely and the meal was outstanding. I will definitely be back. 10/10
Food was delicious but service was very slow. There was hardly anyone in there and it took an hour for the food to arrive.
Good service and great starter but steak wasn’t the best to be honest.
Excellent food, and very friendly staff in nice surroundings.
We will be back next time we are in Edinburgh.
Visiting Edinburgh and we were looking for somewhere to go for dinner after our ghost hunt. Lovely restaurant and the staff were great, very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious
Warm welcome, friendly helpful staff, great food & drinks, good music. Staff were really lovely, chatty, friendly to our family. We’ve been coming for a few years now and are always happy to return.
Amazing food , brilliant atmosphere. Will definitely return and recommend.
Food was good, steak very well done and good. Service, however was poor.
Family of five for a birthday party. Top quality food and wine. Steaks were absolutely phenomenal. Pricey but worth it.
Lovely meal, fabulous service and the best oysters I’ve ever experienced!
Awesome food and service. Will 100% be back. Only thing would be when ordering the cheese course it was served with sourdough bread instead of oatcakes, however it was still amazing.
Just ok. Very expensive and not planning a second visit.
Such a nice place to have a meal! The ambiance is fantastic and the cocktails even better!! Will defo be returning on our next visit to Edinburgh
Amazing fillet steak perfectly executed with properly peppery peppercorn sauce :)
Not an establishment I had been to before but my goodness I will definitely be back. The meal was amazing and the staff were very attentive. Thank you
Service friendly and efficient, porterhouse, sauces and sides delicious and mocktails yummy. Will most certainly make a return visit.
Food and service were brilliant but £14.95 for a glass of wine is shockingly greedy and for that reason we won’t be back
Had a great meal after the rugby, perfect location for onward travel by train.
We had 3 oysters which were delicious, shared chateaubriand and two sides between two people and a glass of wine each. The wine was very good but the meat didn't blow me away and the sides were quite small, especially considering that they are sold separately.
Overall I wouldn't say it was good value for money.
Wait staff were exceptionally professional, attentive and friendly. Beautiful wine glasses and we enjoyed the high seating. Overall experience was fantastic. Would say the triple cooked chips were the only thing that was average but by no means disappointing!!
Absolutely amazing. Both my Girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. The service was impeccable and the food was incredible. Very much worth the price.
Very nice food, small menu perfectly cooked, friendly staff.
Best porter house steak we have ever had. Amazing place
No complaints. Service, food and surroundings all excellent.
Friendly service, food was delicious. Really cool atmosphere, cocktails were great and wine was a really good choice at lower end of their pricing. Everything was well worth the money!
Food was very good, not cheap. All sides have to be bought separately, nothing comes with the steak ordered other than your chosen sauce. But no complaints with the food itself
Lovely welcome to your restaurant! Food was fantastic, we all went for steaks and they all came out cooked to perfection. We were very well attended, polite and efficient service. Had a lovely evening, highly recommend.
A really tasty meal in great ambience with perfect service. Happy to return there
Great wine, fantastic service and atmosphere. Good meat
my wife's steak was ok though not cooked as requested
my ribeye was poor full of sinew and not cooked as requested
the fried mushrooms in garlic were boiled and no garlic
however the service was outstanding perhaps the serving staff should do the cooking because the chef cant cook steak.
