Really poor service
We had a table of five and two of the dishes had to be sent back as they were wrong. None of the food came at the same time despite us asking for it to. The omelettes were so mediocre. It’s saving grace was that the pancakes were really nice and the ambience is relaxing but overall really disappointing for my first time there.
The crab cake/benedict is a little small in the plate for 23£ but it is very good.
French toast are excellent.
Atmosphere is nice and cool ... not noisy and stressful as nearly everywhere in London at Brunch time
This was a busy Friday night in the run up to Xmas so not surprising it was very busy. We couldn’t really get in the cocktail bar so went straight to the restaurant. Enjoyed the food and the cocktails. Very attentive service and good ambience. Would definitely return.
The only disappointing part was approx 10 young children were sat in the Martini Bar!
I come here often as it’s an adult bar ... or I thought it was
Lovely food, set menu options but we picked from the a la carte. Great drinks menu!
We had a lovely table in the middle of the restaurant, and the service was superb. Christopher's has a varied menu, and the food was beautifully prepared and presented. I can highly recommend.
Prijs kwaliteitsverhouding niet goed en ambiance niet echt sprankelend
Food quality was average but commands high prices.
Served whole shelled prawns with no bowl to rinse tour hands so had to use knife and fork which isn’t the easiest.
Disappointed with the Irish coffees we ordered that didn’t have any whiskey in them, after asking waiter to taste he agreed they didn’t have and subsequently gave another but not very good service if they can’t get a simple Irish coffee right.
Food was sensational.
Outstanding. A perfect birthday celebration. Food and service excellent.
We went for a family members birthday, the waiters took note of my special request and brought the birthday girl’s food out with a sparkler. Thank you to the team for arranging that. We did have some issue with the manager, who took it upon himself to try and rush us off the table.
We’d barely eaten half of our food and he was already trying to say our time would be up soon- we had 20 minutes. He then tried to send another person to rush us. I pointed out to him privately that he’d not been rushing the table who had been seated and eating well before us. He tried to hand me excuses and when told him simple facts, he apologised. This was poor management and behaviour, on his part but I accepted his apology.
Overall we had a good experience but was ruined with the behaviour in the last 20-15 minutes.
My family and I will keep on coming back to Christopher's whilst it remains such a really good experience!.
Thank you for making my daughter's birthday brunch so lovely. I merely mentioned it was her birthday and you celebrated with us!
Was lovely food but felt we were a bit rushed to leave the table and our tea was only just served.
Had they said we needed to leave sooner we would not have ordered tea and desserts. Apart from that it was lovely food, great service and beautiful inside.
A poor experience. Food was pretty good (though salty) and staff were friendly but not well trained. Waiter picked up butter in his hands when it fell off the butter dish and put it back on the dish; waitress learners across a guest to give menu rather than walking around; soft drink was warm; drinks didn’t come together. And it’s an expensive place. Won’t be going back.
A terrific Sunday roast in a venue with great ambience
Perfect pre-theatre dinner before the Lion King musical
Really nice place & Foo, staff were lovely and down to earth .
Had a lovely start to our day in London with a gorgeous brunch and helpful & pleasant staff with beautiful decor. We will return to try more delightful food and cocktails. Thank you
First time at this restaurant. Lively bar downstairs and sedate restaurant upstairs. Staff were great attentive and polite. Food was good we all had steaks. Mine was undercooked but just about done enough for me to eat. Extensive wine list prices start at about £30. So why not 5 stars? I’ve eaten as well for half the price. I guess it’s Covent Garden. Really enjoyed the evening which was a special occasion, I would go again but it would have to be a special occasion again.
The food was very good although having 2 and a half scallops in the starter was pretty mean especially as it was £19!!.The steak was excellent as was the chocolate brownie.
The service was what let the meal down as the female staff in particular seemed unable to crack a smile and did not want to engage with you any more than was asolutely necessary in order to do their job. It was a shame as it rather took the edge off the whole experience.
Good if expensive
Our evening meal after a visit to the theatre was very fine.
I have only one question which is a regret over the music being played throughout the meal
It is very annoying and totally unnecessary in my opinion
I am coming back to the restaurant on the 23rd December and I would be very happy if there were no music or at least if it were much quieter
The ambience and atmosphere is lovely, the place is well decorated and bright. For how much you’re being charged for the food, you would expect a decent presentation of the food. We ordered the lobster club sandwich, the bread was a bit burnt and the it could have been presented MUCH better. The Mac n cheese was fine but also the presentation was not great at all. The service was fine, the waiters could be a little more hospitable but they were fine.
The food is good. The place is gorgeous
I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere , the staff were really kind and helping
