We went for a family members birthday, the waiters took note of my special request and brought the birthday girl’s food out with a sparkler. Thank you to the team for arranging that. We did have some issue with the manager, who took it upon himself to try and rush us off the table.
We’d barely eaten half of our food and he was already trying to say our time would be up soon- we had 20 minutes. He then tried to send another person to rush us. I pointed out to him privately that he’d not been rushing the table who had been seated and eating well before us. He tried to hand me excuses and when told him simple facts, he apologised. This was poor management and behaviour, on his part but I accepted his apology.
Overall we had a good experience but was ruined with the behaviour in the last 20-15 minutes.
Was lovely food but felt we were a bit rushed to leave the table and our tea was only just served.
Had they said we needed to leave sooner we would not have ordered tea and desserts. Apart from that it was lovely food, great service and beautiful inside.
Perfect pre-theatre dinner before the Lion King musical
Had a lovely start to our day in London with a gorgeous brunch and helpful & pleasant staff with beautiful decor. We will return to try more delightful food and cocktails. Thank you
The food was very good although having 2 and a half scallops in the starter was pretty mean especially as it was £19!!.The steak was excellent as was the chocolate brownie.
The service was what let the meal down as the female staff in particular seemed unable to crack a smile and did not want to engage with you any more than was asolutely necessary in order to do their job. It was a shame as it rather took the edge off the whole experience.
Good if expensive
Our evening meal after a visit to the theatre was very fine.
I have only one question which is a regret over the music being played throughout the meal
It is very annoying and totally unnecessary in my opinion
I am coming back to the restaurant on the 23rd December and I would be very happy if there were no music or at least if it were much quieter
The ambience and atmosphere is lovely, the place is well decorated and bright. For how much you’re being charged for the food, you would expect a decent presentation of the food. We ordered the lobster club sandwich, the bread was a bit burnt and the it could have been presented MUCH better. The Mac n cheese was fine but also the presentation was not great at all. The service was fine, the waiters could be a little more hospitable but they were fine.
The food is good. The place is gorgeous
I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere , the staff were really kind and helping
Absolutely loved my dining experience at Christophers! Food was excellent as was service, and they gave me a special little birthday treat too :)
We had a delicious meal with excellent service before going to see the Lion King on Saturday night. It was my daughter’s 10th birthday and they brought out a cake with sparklers in which was a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend.
The ambiance was lovely and the food was as amazing but it took a really long time for our food to be served other than that we had a lovely time
Fabulous venue with tasty brunch menu. Chocolate french toast was outstanding
Special dinner with my daughter while we were visiting London, and Christopher's did not disappoint. We both had steaks and each was cooked exactly as we requested. Sides were large enough to share between the two of us, but would have been small for more people. Service was very professional - just the correct amount of attention but not too difficult to get attention when needed and not too much intrusion. Highly recommend for a nice dinner in London.
Lovely food and atmosphere and very accommodating. However, when I had arrived, checked in and explained I was awaiting three other guests, I was seated upstairs and waiting for my clients at the table, some confusion took place. They were told I had not arrived and there was not a table booked in my name, so they booked another. When they came up to be seated, they saw me - so that delayed our meeting and I felt a little annoyed that the disorganisation reflected on me. Other than that, the service was great and the food was excellent.
It was my partners 50th which was a trip to London with all the trimming. I booked it as she wanted to dine somewhere a little different before our theatre show.
When we arrived at the restaurant the staff we lovely and very welcoming and the venue looked amazing, they gave us a round table for 6 people right in the middle of the restaurant and the waiting on staff were really helpful and accommodating, although the music seemed a bit nightclubby for a fine restaurant not to our taste for a meal (although we do like to goto the odd nightclub).
We were given both the pre-theatre menus and the normal menu, we all chose from both. and when the starters arrived they looked amazing and tasted as good as they looked, the main courses were lovely too, my only gripe would be that the Scottish fillet steak wasn't as tender as I thought it would be (but tasted great), but the rump that I chose was melting the mouth and delicious, all the other main courses were exceptional, when asked if everything was ok we did mention that the broccoli was very raw to the point some was almost uneadable (we are not Philistines and do like are vegetables al dente) but this did fall on deaf ears. We also had some lovely deserts that were very pretty, rich and flavoursome.
Something that did impress all of us was that my partners dessert came with a firework in it and happy birthday written on the plate in a sauce, I did mention when booking it was a birthday occasion, but at no pint did they as who's, so it was a lovely surprise when they came out with it and also go the right person!! Result! high five to the waiting on staff.
All in all it was a lovely quick meal (1 .5 hours) and it was just what we wanted and more!! We would go again no problem and have told friends of our lovely experience. Thank you Christoper's
i’ve always enjoyed the food here but tonight was not that great. service was mediocre for a fine dining restaurant. waiters were slow and not attentive.
Went for Sunday Brunch. The cocktails were very nice as was the decor and general ambience. The food was lacking given the prices.
I had ordered the Eggs Benedict and one of the eggs was overcooked so no runny yolk which was a let down, however the Chocolate French toast and the Blueberry Pancakes more than made up for that.
Staff were generally friendly and were very attentive at first but the level of service declined once we had received some drinks. Overall the service was good.
Lovely spot for brunch, delicious food and attentive staff
This place is lovely. Nice and grand restaurant , amazing food. Slightly overpriced in my opinion. Great for birthdays etc
Very good per-theatre dinner. Ordering steak cooked rare be aware it came medium. Meat was excellent.
Yh really nice good service nice food. But the mains although nice are small
Really great food. Tried their brunch menu and I was not disappointed.. Will recommend for a first date. Classy yet affordable.
Wonder atmosphere, exquisite food and lovely service. Will be visiting again.
Food, service and location are fantastic. Right in the hearr of Covent Garden, we had a fantastic time for my other half's birthday. Thank you to the team, for the extra effort they made for my girlfriends birthday! It was hugely appreciated.
The food was amazing! A perfect brunch date and the food is just amazing. A little pricey but worth every penny and have already planned to go back for the french toast.
Lovely staff, tasty food and good vibe. Enjoyed returning for the French toast especially
Had the most amazing food at Christopher’s and the staff were brilliant. Had a lovely table with a good view. Overall, excellent!
Really enjoyable food excellent
Food is always excellent, the chocolate brownie is one of the best I have tasted but I think the wine prices are on the high side.
Called here for a pre-theatre supper and were delighted with the menu, the food and the service.
The Rye bread was hard. Difficult to cut
We celebrated our 10 year anniversary here on Saturday. The service was faultless, food delicious and overall experience perfect. Thank you for making it special. Kind regards Mr & Mrs Laffar
