I found it expensive for the food, there wasn't much flavour to what we got , definitely paying for the location but they are nicer places to eat in covent garden, it would be good for a group of people going good for a work dinner, there were two of those groups there, it isn't a place to go if you want to try nice food ....... a poor choice but I just didn't know, it looked nice in the pics but .... shrug .....
Pre- theatre meal
Charlotte's is one of the few restaurants where I know I will always be amazed by the quality of the food and this time was no exception. I took a group of friends with me who had not been there before and they were pleasantly surprised as to how much they enjoyed the food and the surroundings. It is slightly pricier than some other restaurants in close vicinity, but the quality of the food is ace and therefore, well worth it. Service is never compromised either and all staff (waiters, greeters) are always friendly and smiling.
Gorgeous food and staff catered to our needs brilliantly. Was my partner’s birthday and they served dessert with a special message discretely as I had requested. Would go back again we loved it. Thank you
We very much enjoyed our cocktails in the bar ! And the food was delicious considering we were in a hurry. Staff were very pleasant and I’ve been recommending Christopher’s to all my clients and friends especially if you’re going to the theatre x
Exceptional atmosphere and exceptional food, a bit pricey but the quality of food reflects that. I will definitely be going back.
It’s my 4th time here and I love the food. However I ordered something different this time. I went for the omelette and I didn’t not like it. It didn’t look or taste like omelette. Overall everything else was good.
Fantastic SERVICE, Great FOOD,
Best French Toast Ever!
The Maryland Egg with Crab was also amazing.
enjoyable evening nice food ambience good wine pretty good value
Celebrated my 50th birthday at Christopher’s. Pre dinner drinks were fantastic in the Martini Bar then upstairs to a totally different atmosphere for dinner. The service & food was exceptional & made the occasion really special.
We will certainly come back again.
Great food and ambience. Service was excellent
Great restaurant for after theatre dinner. Staff were really friendly and restaurant itself was beautiful. Went on 4th of July for an independence day menu. 3 course meal for £49. Great food and definitely be back!!
On the whole pleasant but one xourse each and a bottle of wine for £115? No. Also music far too intrusive. It was turned down after a request but not a lot could be done about thumping beat. Perhaps Iam too old? But just not ghe right kind ofmusic for such an elegant and attractive room.
Excellent evening out. Made us feel welcome especially as it was my wife’s birthday and so they put us in a nice spot and looked after us.
I would recommend
Food was lovely. We ordered the buttermilk pancakes with mixed berries, the avocado toast and the eggs Maryland. Everything was delicious. The eggs Maryland ‘poached egg with crab and a generous helping of hollandaise sauce was exceptional. Only concern was the service and ambience, we were given a table in the adjoining room from the main dining room which was a little disconcerting as we were the only ones seated there. Overall, it’s a great choice for brunch.
Couple next to me didn't eat their steak as they were quite rare and had been ordered med-well. I thought a reasonable restaurant should have picked up on this - not just been asked when their table was being cleared. Lots of staff standing around talking.
Booked for a pre theatre meal based on previous good reviews and can see why. Beautiful building and great food highlight bring the chocolate tart with espresso ice cream. Will be back!
Christophers is a great French restaurant in the heart of London. The food is beautifully presented and delicious! Service is impeccable and the decor elegant. We very much enjoyed our lunch which featured tempting cocktails, asparagus starters and salmon and chicken mains. I highly recommend Christophers. My only disappointment is that they no longer offer their excellent value set menu lunch option which would make it more affordable to go more often!
This was our second trip to Christopher's (our first was 4 years ago when we first started dating). We wanted to come back again as we get married in 3 months and wanted to eat somewhere special. Christopher's didn't let us down. From the excellent service to the delicious food, everything was beyond our expectations. It's an ideal location for the theatre's and we would recommend it to anyone.
Good quality food, amazing service, beautiful decor no complaints from my side
Nothing special at all. Had a mushroom and cheese club sandwich, taste overwhelmed by a vinegarette that made the bread soggy. French chocolate brioche was nice and generous portion.
"Welcoming" staff and waitress were not very friendly
We had cocktails in the bar followed by an excellent meal here before going to the theatre, which was just opposite Christopher's. We had a lovely corner table for two and the service was excellent - our waiter (I believe Jan was his name) was extremely helpful and courteous. The meal itself was excellent and beautifully presented. We had the Theatre Menu which was excellent value for money. Should we be in London again, we would certainly visit again.
Christopher’s brunch menu certainly delivered on choice and yumminess. One for the brunch book.
It was perfect. And even my birthday request was remembered when I forgot! So thank you!
We had a set menu which was VFM and very nice. Had a lovely panna cotta for dessert. Staff away a excellent
Good food but service very poor, asked spesific for a dish That they told me they would have and when we arrived they didnt. And after all ordered another dish from the menu That they Also didnt have and the waiter was watching is the whole time i understand That it was late and she probly wanted to go home but then they shouldt have Bookings That late!
60 th birthday celebration with family. Nice food in beautiful setting. Very expensive though and somewhat lacking in atmosphere as the restaurant was barely a quarter full. It was a Tuesday night so may be more atmospheric on other nights.
As always an excellent pre-theatre Dinner, good food and great staff.
Everything was perfect. The staff were really attentive and the food superb. The cocktails were delicious and moorish! It was one of the party’s birthday and a special dessert with sparklers topped off a fabulous meal. Will definitely return
Lovely food, excellent wine list, wonderful service. We were there pre-theatre on a Sunday, so it wasn't crowded and the noise level was low (very important to me.) Highly recommended.
A ,very enjoyable brunch; very friendly and discretely attentive service.
I asked for a personalised message as we were celebrating our first Eid together. I wanted to surprise my husband but there was no message on the plate. I left the notes when I made the reservation.
It was very good service but the meal was very small for the price. Not enough vegan options.
Food and menu is always outstanding and never dissappoints. Staff are friendly and efficient, I really cant fault it.
The mains and dessert tasted (sharing dessert) great and were presented well. The scallops were a bit of a let down. Overall the food was very good. Cocktails were good. However, the service was a bit of a let down. The caliber of the server was not to the caliber of other steak restaurants in the area. She appeared to be new at serving. The server wasn't very attentive e.g. not clearing wine glasses when we said we weren't having any, also clearing after courses was quite slow. We poured our own water etc. She also spilled the wine on one of the side dishes, definitely not something you would expect...
Absolutely wonderful as always - can’t wait to come back!!
We really enjoyed our pre-theatre meal at Christopher's when we were celebrating my birthday and also our wedding anniversary - same day! All the staff were excellent from our initial welcome to when we left. Management must be good! The food was fabulous - the seabass was delicious. I had a rum/champagne cocktail that was explosive so maybe this needs toning down.
All in all we were very impressed and would highly recommend.
Great meal and excellent service.
Best was the main veg option. It was delicious for the veg in our party.
Even though the food was really good, the restaurant was very organised but the waitress was really judgmental and we didn’t feel comfortable with her attitude.
We had dinner before going to the theatre and the whole experience was wonderful! The food is amazing and the best chocolate brownie I have ever tasted! I would highly recommend Christopher’s above most restaurants in the City. Thank you Christopher’s for a great start to our evening.
