Mediocre food- really poor service
Had a great time here, went for a Valentine’s Day dinner and really enjoyed it! Great vibe and amazing food, would definitely recommend!
The service, food and drinks was really good. The cheddar-mash and popcorn shrimp were definitely my favourites overall. Definitely would recommend for a fancy romantic spot! :)
Food was absolutely amazing! And their service was great!
The food and prices were great! The only problem was that the waitress double charged me on accident.
We went to Christopher’s on Valentine’s Day and it was very disappointing. My wife’s burger was smothered in mayonnaise which was not referred to on the menu and which she is unable to eat so it had to be returned to the kitchen. My steak was nicely cooked but was not terribly well seasoned and not especially good value for £40. The French Fries were awful, thin and greasy and extremely poor value for money. At around 7.45 we were approached by a surly maitre d’ who told us that “we need your table back” without us having been told that there were any time constraints on our meal at all. I would not expect this from a restaurant of this quality and certainly not done in the brusque manner in which it was done. Of course the reason why we were taking the time that we were was because one of the dishes was wrongly described and had to be sent back. That item had been removed from the bill at least so that was a plus. Gorgeous surroundings, very average food and poor value for money I am afraid.
Lovely ambience, delicious food, good cocktails & great company. It’s my second trip & would definitely return again.
Lovely restaurant with stunning internal decor. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious !
We had a lovely anniversary meal before going to see a play. The food came quickly and tasted delicious, we will definitely be back again!
We returned after an amazing meal in August 2018. Unfortunately I didn’t find this meal to be as good, it was quite greasy and it was very expensive.
Amazing food, amazing view and so good service.
The host was super professional and took care of us a lot.
Our waitress Niculae was an expert and she was explaining us the dishes and make us feel so hospitalised. I love the Caesar’s salad and the chocolate french toast. It was so tasty. Recommend this place definitely and soon I will come back!
We were celebrating a gentleman’s birthday. When we got there it was clear he wouldn’t be able to make the 29 stairs to the restaurant (sadly no lift). The staff immediately accommodated us in the bar area. They couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful.
Fantastic food, great service,a wonderful environment to spend the evening in
Went for pre-theatre dinner at 5.15pm. Arriving early we went to the downstairs bar which was fairly busy. The only major problem was the techno music which was blaring out and made conversation difficult. It was the sort of music more suited to after 9pm than an early evening drink. Guess it must be for the staff as the majority of the customers were over 35.
Excellent value pre-theatre menu! Lovely carafe of wine.
Great service by the staff, the ore theatre menu is a bargain, and the restaurant is beautiful. Highly recommend
Went for my boyfriend's 21st birthday and the service was amazing for this occasion and the food was also great.
The service was on top and the servants was brilliant.
The food was lovely, fresh and tasteful. However a very limited menu. No halal options. We sat next to a very noisy table, which made our experience not so great. Dessert was amazing! Staff were very friendly.
The vegetarian options tasted very foul. Had to send mine back as it was not even of average standard taste wise. Not worth the price at all. However the french toast dessert was nice.
Great meal before a show. Popcorn prawns great to share if you don’t want a starter.
The food and drink was wonderful. So enjoyed our experience. The restaurant is beautiful. The food was prepared and presented very well. My husband had the wagyu steak and they cooked a perfect medium rare.
Every time we are in London we will definitely make a reservation.
As normal Christopher's offers great service and great food - and cocktails! One of my favourite places to eat!
From the welcome at the desk to the surprise birthday treat, the whole experience was a joy, the food was as ever first class. As ever the ambiance is clean cut, comfortable and contemporary. The service was much improved on our last visit in November. We will be back
Beautiful restaurant, and food very nicely presented. A few minor quibbles...
We ordered a glass of wine each, and only one was brought to us.
We ordered popcorn shrimp and the crab cake to start and only the crab cake was brought to us.
Fair enough, it was a pretty busy Saturday evening, and when it was brought to their attention they resolved it.
HOWEVER: One of the waiters (brown hair, stubble) was staring at my partner - so much so that he spilled water all over the table when he was pouring it into her glass and then took a significant amount of time simply placing a napkin over the spillage, again because he was unceasingly staring at her. He then moved to clear the table next to us, and while he did so, continued to stare at her continuously - which made her feel, understandably, uncomfortable.
This isn’t acceptable behaviour, in any context, let alone from waiting staff. It made what should have been a relaxed dinner, initially very uncomfortable.
Isn't really worth the price for both the service and food
Didn’t realise when booking that 2.30 was still brunch time. Menu was very limited unless you wanted breakfast.
Late lunch meant it was quite empty but good nevertheless. My companion didn’t like his starter - it had too much mustard in it which wasn’t stated on the menu so they removed it from the bill which I thought was good service
Really enjoyed my pre theatre dinner at Christopher's. Food was absolutely fabulous for the price and the wine our server chose to pair alongside went down treat we found it was pricey vs the the food. Would definitely return.
Food was delicious even if not all requests were followed correctly but they fixed what they could
They were great with kids too
The food was lovely as well as the service was. The only thing that I would advise is that the bread and butter that they offer is chargeable (I was under the impression it was complimentary) and also when they ask if you would like the water, ask them for tap water which is free otherwise you will get bottled water which was chargeable again which i wasnt aware off.
We have visited Christopher's on several occasions and I can honestly say the experience never disappoints. The environment is lovely, the staff are really attentive, helpful and professional (but certainly not overbearing) and the food and drink outstanding.
We started in the bar and enjoyed banter with the bar staff who made gorgeous cocktails for us.
Our table was round - excellent for a group of 6 to maintain communication across the whole party. It was a birthday celebration - and I was treated to a sparkler in the dessert - a good picture opportunity!
We have met Francis through our friend Kathy and were delighted to see him on this visit and to chat with him. What a talented gentleman.
We have previously enjoyed the excellent brunch menu too.
We will return. Many thanks for making my celebrations very special.
I’ve dined at Christopher’s before and have always loved their food and service. This time I was rather disappointed. The service was very slow, I understand it was a very busy period however people seated after us received their orders before us. Also, the latte I asked for was very Luke warm, I prefer my drinks hot so I asked for another drink. The drink eventually arrived AFTER I had finished my brunch, and it was still luke warm but I didn’t want to create a scene by requesting it a third time.
Great brunch!! Always my go to spot in Central London.
