Chocolate Brioche French Toast (Milk or Dark)
vanilla bean ice cream, chocolate sauce
Warm Brioche French Toast
caramelised peaches, vanilla mascarpone, maple syrup
The food was excellent as was the ambience and service. Had a lovely experience and would definitely return.
Great food and service. Although we prefer to visit in the evening for dinner.
Tables a bit too close together, but otherwise excellent food, service, and overall experience.
Arrived on time, booked a table for half 8pm did not get seated until half 9!! Because there was no tables? We pre booked on their website. Why accept our booking if we would have to wait an hour to be seated. They did end up giving us complimentary drinks to make up for it. The food is definitely worth it. Beef tacos and the french toast desert is a must!!!
I used to love it but after lockdown the quality has drastically slipped for steak and cocktails, the appetisers and deserts quality is still very good - but the steak quality is dreadful.
The table ordered 3 10oz steaks, 2 rare 1 medium rare ribeyes. What we got were 1 medium rare steak and two medium-well done steaks. I sent back a steak for the first time in my life I was so disappointed, the staff very graciously immediately offered a replacement. Again I asked for a rare steak but not only was it again medium done it was also a sirloin and not a ribeye.
The cocktails were pleasant however they did taste like there was a lot of ice melt and came across watery.
Food and drinks were OK but service was poor. One drink was delivered and we had to remind the server to bring the other. No one asked us if we would like another drink despite empty glasses on the the table. We were provided with the wrong menu to start with. Food arrived in good time and was pleasant enough but the empty plates were left in front of us for about 15 minutes before being cleared; we were not asked if we wanted dessert and at that point decided to give up. Asked for the bill which arrived immediately. Our table was downstairs in the bar. If the restaurant does not want people to eat down there, don't offer a full menu. We won't be returning.
The food was lovely, the service was very attentive and I enjoyed my visit
Food was amazing, service was average and for the price you expect something a bit more special maybe. But the brioche french toast is 10/10.
Fantastic! I don't say that often. Despite being a busy weekend they provided fast service and high quality, tasty food.
Disappointing didn't know they only did brunch Saturday no full menu would have loved a proper meal. Staff rude and un helpful. Been downstairs many times an loved the cocktail bar . Definitely won't go back to the restaurant 😒
Was running late for my booking, arrived almost an hour late on a Saturday afternoon. Despite it being really busy they held our table with exceptional service! Great food and service overall. Always visit Christopher's when am down London and will be visiting again!
My go to for brunch as I love this place and the menu. Only down side is that our table was mistakenly given to another party before arrival and were rushed towards the end. No complaints other than that great staff.
Well, the food was brilliant my friends and I had the French toast and the cheescake. However slightly over-priced I would say; they charged me £8 for two bottles of water and didn't explain that when they asked if I wanted water. But overall decent
The service was very poor from the last time I visited. The waitress concentrated more on table that came in after us and it took forever to get our drinks. Such a shame as I loved coming here.
Stark and bland atmosphere. Soulless to be honest.
Service was ok but hygiene of the waiters could be improved.
Overpriced food was quite nice but not thrilling.
I went to Christopher's for brunch and the food was very good! I opted for the pancakes whereas my friend got the famous chocolate brioche french toast and both were very outstanding. The price was a little steep for pancakes in my opinion, as I can get similar pancakes for cheaper in other places but other than that everything was great.
Great food however the service was terrible- could not get a waiter to our table for 30 minutes
The food was really good, service wasn’t great at all, everything took so long to come and we had to continually seek them out rather then them checking on us. Would go back for the food but disappointed in the service, especially considering it was that busy
Mediocre food, premises pretty shoddy, staff lacking. Forgot items on order, sides arriving after mains eaten. Extremely overpriced for what you actually get. French toast was the only thing that didn’t disappoint
Personally didn’t enjoy it, the service was poor and did not enjoy the ambience either.
It was nice food, but I didn’t think it was worth the hype. I had eggs benedict, which were ok, but better at the Ivy.
Jerk tacos was okay; chicken was nice but the slaw was overpowering. Lobster Mac and cheese was a disappointment especially for the price! The dish was runny and felt uncooked.
Drinks were overpriced and filled with more ice than liquid. Ordered a mojito and could just taste the mint leaf and ice, did not have much alcohol. Ordered a pineapple juice which never arrived so asked the waiter to cancel that drink and ordered a fresh orange juice which was refreshing.
The best part of the visit was the main reason we came: the brioche french toast with chocolate sauce and ice cream; splendid, texture on the bread was spot on and the chocolate was dreamy.
Overall was not satisfied with the food but the desert made up for it. Service was okay but definitely not worth the service charge.
Waiter gave incorrect information about food order, said the lamb chops came with 4/5 but I only received 2 so I was not happy being given the incorrect information. Our food took 1 hour and 27 minutes to come out after we ordered. No staff reassured us whilst we were waiting over an hour for our food. The food came out cold and had to wait for it be reheated. We was not satisfied with the food at all. Lamb chops were tasteless, sweet potato fries were hard and the lobster mac and cheese was not great.
We arrived on Saturday for our booking at the restaurant which we haven’t been to for a while, but have previously visited a number of times, which we had enjoyed even using the restaurant for client entertaining.
On being seated we noted that the music had changed to a more upbeat and louder environment to the previous more sedate music. We were with friends and it wasn’t a real issue, but not as sophisticated as our previous visits.
The staff were polite and efficient throughout. However, a couple of ladies sitting at one of the tables decided to stand up and start taking selfies. Normally this wouldn’t be a problem with taking a quick photo, but in this case they had a separate LED light for their pictures which was shining in our direction and was very bright.
After what seemed like 10 minutes I finally lost it and loudly asked them across the restaurant to stop and sit down as it was shining in my eyes. They stopped and did sit down, but why when you are paying high prices for a nice meal, didn’t the staff ask them to stop before I had to intervene. I don’t think I have ever had to do this and it’s not normally something I would do either, but their lack of respect for others was amazing.
Anyway, the food was excellent and we enjoyed the meal not letting this little incident spoil the evening. We won’t return for an evening meal again, but will try a lunchtime service which we hope will be a better experience. If this isn’t better then sadly it will be our last visit to what has been a great restaurant as there are lots of other good ones to choose from in town.
It was a lovely experience, it was my sisters birthday and they put us in the best seating available with not too many people around. Thank you for making her day very special
Fremch toast were amazing best i ever had will be coming back
Great place and will definitely go again.
Lovely food and great vibe
Gorgeous food and a great location, but a lot of tables and it's quite loud, and I can't say the service was great as we were waiting for someone to take our order for a while.
The food and venue were great! The brioche with milk chocolate sauce lived up to the hype absolutely delicious! We also ordered the avo toast and truffle fries all were amazing. The only let down was the service, unfortunately was not consistent. On sitting down no one came to our table to take an order for 10 minutes and we actually had to make eye contact to place our drink orders we had to do this again to place our food order which I found strange as waiters passed us a few times. Later on during our meal there was a female waitress who did check on us however up until that point I would say it was average. I think given there is as automatic 12.5% service charge I do feel the service should have been better. I would go again because food and cocktails were really good, I do hope the service is consistent throughout next visit.
We wanted to go there for ages to try the famous chocolate french toast and we were not disappointed. Staff was nice and it was very cute when they made my friend feel special for her birthday with some sparkles!
Second visit to Christopher’s and food has been excellent both visits. We will be back.
Amazing food great service. Wish we could’ve sat outside but didn’t get the option. Great experience though!
Lovely birthday sparked made the experience so special! French toast is incredible!
Lovely customer service, food and atmosphere! Thank you
Lovely food and service, great place to have lunch or dinner!
Excellent service and good customer service. Food and drink was fabulous. The waiter even made a drink that wasn’t on the menu! ❤️French toast is highly recommended!
Overall a fantastic meal and service, but it was quite chilly in the restaurant due to air conditioning and open windows on a warm day outdoors. I suspect that they were struggling with temperature controls due to it being an unexpected hot day (it was lunchtime)
Our waiter was very helpful and allowed us to move to another table in a different part of the restaurant before our meal was served, but it was still chilly which meant that the person I was with, wore a warm outer garment throughout our stay. Would we return? Yes, we will - and hope that it's a bit warmer!
Service was really good, but the dining room was strange. Like being in someone’s living room, packed with tables. Absolute silence, so ambience was weird.
Food was a let down. Starter and dessert were lovely, but main and sides were awful. I’m not sure what the hype is - wouldn’t come again.
Solo brunch outing. I enjoyed my experience however at times the staff seemed overwhelmed resulting in delayed service. The bar seating area where I was located was also very loud which may prove difficult if one was dining with others and wanted to engage in conversation.
