   I planned a birthday dinner for 15 here and we all had a great experience. Dion took care of us the whole night & the restaurant started our meal with sparkling wine & hummus for all. That was an unexpected and pleasant surprised.

   Drinks and dessert are spot on!! Food and service could have definitely been better. Our server was not very attentive and disorganized. The food was a little bland.

   The atmosphere / ambiance has not changed in 10 years. Tit is noisy. The food and service was great. The request for tips in the kitchen was unusual, it felt like that should be an internal management issue and not left up to the patron.

   Our food was amazing! There is a request for a kitchen tip and they totally deserved it. Our service was fair, the waitress was not super helpful and/or accommodating to someone with food allergies, although at the bottom of the menu it states they certainly can be. We were seated 10 minutes after our reservation was scheduled (we were on time) and didn’t get service from her for at least another 15 minutes, nearly making it late to a show two hours later with no time for dessert. She also told us she’d send our group of 3 with truffles, we didn’t get them. They look delish though! To sum it up I’d say Sub-par service with delicious food and yes, the atmosphere is somewhat noisy.

    Unfortunately everything was disgusting. For the shrimp cocktail the shrimp did not taste fresh, cocktail sauce was tasteless. The Caesar salad was the worst I’ve ever tried, the steak we asked for medium and was cooked well, the only thing that was ok was the potatoes.

    Excellent service & food. A mixup with my seating and number in my party was quickly corrected. Hostesses & the manager were professional and our server was awesome. I initially looked at the brunch menu and said nothing looked appealing. Boy was I wrong!!!! I finally picked something and was pleased!! My entire party (15) had similar feelings about the menu but thoroughly enjoyed their meal.

    Two stars were given because we had a drink at the bar first and the staff/drink was good. Smell in the place has a smelly college bar scent. Water was undrinkable. Server brought our wine AFTER we were finished with our meal. Meal was not good. Service was awful. Not the place it used to be before the name change.

    I wouldn’t choose this place to choose a culinary experience, but if you’re trying to find a restaurant with a good ambiance and great location then this is the place. We went to dinner to celebrate our friend graduating. We loved our server and the ambiance of the restaurant, but nothing else blew us away.

    One of the best dinners we’ve had in a while. Giana the bartender was lovely and had multiple people check on us. Ambience was immaculate. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Couldn’t recommend more!

    I took my Mom and Grannie here for Mother’s Day dinner. It was a particularly chilly/windy night in Charlotte and the restaurant was chilly inside. No big deal but it was notably and maybe something that could be fixed with some insulation. The food was spectacular! Most of the table ordered steak but I ordered their prime rib bolognese. Absolutely delicious! Everyone else at the table ordered their steaks to different doneness and everyone got exactly what they wanted. The sides were delicious as well. The server was friendly and professional made sure we were happy with our meal. Ambience is dope and trendy. Will definitely be here again!

    Literally AMAZING! My bestie and I decided to have dinner together after seeing Hamilton over the weekend. 5Church was a favorite in previous years but I had not been since it was rebranded as Church and Union. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Everything from the cocktails, the appetizers, the entrees, and dessert was outstanding! We had the best time and will hands down be a meal we remember for a long while! Bravo Church and Union!

    Went for Mother’s Day brunch definitely was not worth the price $60 for adults $40 for children food was cold but our waiter Adrian was a wonderful he was very nice and helpful that’s about the only thing good about it! The food was not worth it all maybe the dinners better but will not be back !!!

    It was Mother’s Day… The Buffet was $60 a person…it was awful. They were out of everything…the buffet was not kept clean and the one salad dressing had lettuce spilled in it, all the bowls of food looked like they hadn’t freshened things up…out of desserts, dirty plates and silverware. All the breads were burnt and hard. Huge disappointment

    Church and Union is one of my favorite restaurants. The dinner is exquisite. This was my first time eating brunch. The Mother's day brunch was amazing! For the price it should have included at least two drink specials, but overall food, service, ambience was excellent.

    Wonderful staff and service! The food on the buffet was good, but not particularly interesting. We would definitely go back, though. Well worth the price! The one thing I’d recommend for brunches is making the mimosa flight a little less basic, leaning into the craft cocktail angle. If you have house made syrups and shrubs anyway, use them. It was a lovely meal and experience!

    All the food on the buffet was cold, bacon wasn’t cooked properly, biscuits were so dry and hard they could break your teeth. Chips of oyster shell in the oyster as they were not shucked properly. Took a server 20 minutes to come and to offer a drink or go over the buffet menu. Valet took over 30 minutes to get our car and I ended having to walk and get it myself because they misplaced peoples tickets and keys. This place was a disaster and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
