house meatballs, smoked mozzarella, tomato sauce, caramelized onion
chickpea puree, pickled cucumber, red onion, hot peppers, lemon
Excellent food and our waiter was great. Very friendly and accommodating. Wanted to change my dessert on the daily special and it was no problem!
We have eaten at Cibo centre street several times. This was, by far, the best food we’ve had here. Everything was so fresh and tasty.
We went on a Monday night. All pizzas are $12 for dine in. Besides being a great deal, the pizzas were so tasty. The Wild Boar is a favourite.
Very disappointed in spinach salad-soggy sloppy and below average dressing.
My wife and I really enjoyed our Friday night date night at Cibo. The service and atmosphere are too notch. Even while busy it doesn't feel too loud and still very intimate. The food was outstanding. The mushroom pizza is my wife's new favourite. Would highly recommend this spot.
We live nearby so we’ve been going about twice a month for mini special occasions since the ownership change. (Atta boy from a boss, good grade etc.) We love the food so we keep coming back but there’s something going on with the work culture?
Nobody’s having any fun. Ever. None of them. It’s an effort to get squeeze out a smile. The man with the short white hair told my son off on the patio this summer for dropping his menu. This visit he gave us a warm smile but when I made a joke about the weather his face fell. That was more than he was capable of.
I’ve hesitated to write this review because the negative vibe is so palpable and so universal through all the staff that I feel the issue must be at a management level. I’m not writing this so that our server gets told off. I’m writing this review straight to management. You need to decide what you want this place to be. Our favourite (scodallini), the cocktails named after local communities and the charming decor all seem to indicate that you want this to be a neighbourhood joint. But the perfunctory and downright dour atmosphere has all the personality of a Bankers Hall lunch rush.
We were 2 couples and my son. We ordered a wine, a cocktail, a Shirley Temple and 2 beers. We were not offered refills on our drinks. The men asked for 2 more beers and they arrived 25 minutes later - after we were done eating and it was time for the bill. The place was almost empty. The other 3 of us were not offered refills.
This happens when people’s hearts are not in it.
Please create a better atmosphere FOR YOUR STAFF so that some happiness trickles down to us customers.
They gave us special birthday treatment!
The food was delicious! We hosted business partners from out of town. We were there a bit earlier in the evening and benefited from the specials that evening to make it incredible value. Will definitely be back for other occasions as well.
The food was fabulous and service was very good. We will definitely be back!
Hello, i really enjoy dining at cibo. Friendly staff, great food, a perfect place to catch up with friends.... no loud music playing. The staff does not make you feel rushed to eat, pay and leave. Very accommodating if you do not have a reservation.
tge Food that we actually did get served was great but the service was the most rediculous mess I’ve experienced yet
Service was slow especially near to leaving, getting coffee/tea and bill. but perhaps part of the Italian ambience.
We sat near the window to accommodate of us, not in middle of room as offerred . Banquettes along side were not set for 3 or 4.
Food was good.
Third time I have visited, will go again.
The happy hour menu is really good value for money.
Great experience, will be going back!
Enjoyed the food and the service. The only thing we did not appreciate was we felt rushed. We we in and out in 50 minutes. We have not finished eating our appetizers and the main course was put before us to eat. Then we were not finished the main course and the dessert menu was on the table followed shortly with the bill. So we were a bit unhappy, albeit we will go back because the food and service are great. Next time we'll say we want to be there for a while to enjoy the evening.
We went on a Monday night and all pizzas were $12 each. This is a great value. We all had leftover pizza to take home. As a starter we ordered the Smoked Ricotta from the Scodellina menu - it was very tasty. With restaurants discontinuing the use of plastic straws, we were pleasantly surprised that the straw that came with the soft drinks was a pasta straw.
Great happy hour specials and efficient service! Love their pizza and risotto balls!
Went to Cibo on a cold Friday night and lucky to have a table by the fireplace; so nice and cozy. Great service from our waitress. The three of us shared the truffle fries as an appetizer (very yummy) and all had pasta entrees. All very tasty and good portions. Two of us brought part of our dinner home. Good selection of wines and everything was reasonably priced.
Have been here several times and will continue to frequent.
We went on a Monday and pizza was $12. Pizza was very good. Our server was very attentive. Since the restaurant is out of the downtown core, parking is easy to find.
Nice restaurant with good food and service. Free parking lot. Server is friendly. Lighting is a bit too dark, and I am not able to read the menu with such a small font printing. Suggest provide reading light, LOL. Yes, recommend this restaurant for Family or Friend Gathering.
Great food - start with the warm olive appetizer, eggs Benedict and frittata excellent. Warm and friendly service, manager Jayce cam for a chat. Neighborhood gem!
Our first time to Cibo Centre Street, very impressive.
Food are very good. My mom likes their pizza, the pizza crust are pretty thin.
Their pasta on Tuesday are all $12 each which is a great price.
recently tweaked under new management and so good, food and drinks amazing, comfortable not stuffy atmosphere, keep it up
Incredible brunch and service!
This is a quiet and cozy restaurant. We were a little disappointed with our table as it was a little cool, drafty and isolated by the door. The manager was very attentive though and turned the temperature up. If I were to go again I would request a table closer to the fireplace as the ambiance was more inviting. The pizzas are delicious and the tiramisu amazing!!!
Lovely experience. Service was excellent! Food was delicious and the choices on the menu were unique and plentiful.
Let me start with saying that both our server and the food we had was amazing. She really made us feel welcomed and she made sure our toddler was well taken care of through out the entire meal. We had a party of 6 adults and a toddler. The grandparents were visiting from out of town.
We unfortunately have to mention that the General Manager that was acting as the host for the evening was horrible! He was incredibly rude and very condescending through out the night. From the first moment we arrived at the restaurant he seemed annoyed that we had a reservation. He also happened to be helping the kitchen bring food out that evening too - and he had two dishes In his hand and he was adamant that we had order them, we politely told him that we ordered something different and he wouldn’t accept it. He kept saying “it’s on your bill, you did”, about 5-6 minutes later our wonderful server went over to him and corrected him telling him that the two dishes were for the table across from us. He then came back over to the table not to apologize for being super rude and for pretty much making us feel like liars, but to tell us that he was super tired for working so many days in a row. And then he randomly gave us a cup of toothpicks we didn’t ask for. It was odd to us that he couldn’t even muster himself for a simple - “sorry I got that mixed up”.
We totally understand people have tough days and they have things going on in their lives. We just hope the GM does a better job of representing a fantastic restaurant like CIBO. Our family loves the food there, as well as all of the other outstanding staff members
Everything about our visit was great! The food was super tasty, the festive egg nog was amazing and Jessica’s service was outstanding!! Highly recommend it!!
Worst experience we’ve had at this restaurant was tonight. The people at the front were rude and disorganized. It took 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive and the food was mediocre. We had to send the salad back, because it was so salty it was inedible. We likely will not return, and won’t be recommending it anytime soon.
The new Cibo is clearly looking to elevate. The changes of ownership, management, service staff was immediately recognisable. Our meal was amazing! Try the Carbonara and Gnocchi! The bartender knows craft cocktails, and our server "Neil" was honest and genuinely fun. Well done Cibo! There are other restaurants with a higher pedigree that should check out your details!
Excellent value, great food and awesome team! Highly recommend.
Two gluten-free vegetarians found lots of things on the menu to make for a happy dining experience. Plus, the best espresso I've had for months! We'll definitely be back.
Food was delicious....would have been nice to have some veggies with the chicken instead of just potatoes.
Friends sea food pasta dish was very good. The risotto was great....would have been even better if the sausage was sliced smaller. The added mushrooms would have added more flavour if they had been sliced.
The kitchen needs to work on getting all the food for the table to come out at the same time or at least within a couple of minutes.
The food choices were exceptional as were our selections. Our server and host were pleasant. I’m looking forward to returning and trying more offerings.
Cibo had great food, great service. Will definitely go back!
Great to hear from you Leeanne, Hope to see you again very soon
Delicious and very creative pasta dishes. My seafood linguine special was loaded with fresh seafood and was wonderful. Beautiful restaurant; nice place to hang around for a special evening.
Very good value on the specials and pleased that they did not stint on the special in flavour and portions. Appreciate the consideration of reasonable prices in this day and age.
We lucked out and inadvertently hit the Sunday Luck Hour and the $5.00 menu which had a little something for everyone on it. Service was attentive and quick!
Lovely dinner with my wife
Not as good as the 17th location. Service was terrible, some of the food was clearly microwaved. Wouldn't go back to this location.
