Cicchetti - Covent Garden
Excellent service without being intrusive and food was extremely tasty and satisfying. The decor was beautiful too, would definitely visit this restaurant again.
Cicchetti lived up to the expectation that an independent venue can outperform nearby chains with delicious and interesting menu options and individual service. It was pricey, but in keeping with the quality and location. We will certainly be back.
Night at the theatre
My lunch guest went to the wrong branch and was therefore nearly 30 minutes late but this did not phase the staff at all . When she arrived they were very considerate and gave her time to settle before coming to take our order. The food was as usual superb. Another enjoyable visit - it definitely won't be the last.
Pre-theatre birthday treat... and treat indeed it was! Finally, a gourmet Italian that goes way beyond the ordinary and delivers exclusive regional delicacies and outstanding service in a trendy yet intimate environment. Grazie Mille!
Really like the sharing plates/tapas style. Baked sea bass in black salt is amazing.
On a par with Fumo, we found there were too many waiters rushing about in such a small, confined space. It was too busy for a relaxed meal!
Good advice from our waiter ref how many dishes to order. Fab food and wine.
Amazing food and wonderful authentic Italian service. Loved it will be back ASAP!!
We arrived at 5:45 in order to be on time for a 7:30 show. At first the service was ok. Our drinks were delivered in a timely fashion. As the restaurant got more crowded, the service deteriorated. We had to ask numerous times to have our water glasses refilled. The zucchini and calamari appetizer were so so. The veal Milanese was excellent. Tiramisu was poor. Napoleon dessert was good.
Very nice feeling of and good atmosphere. The only thing I couldn't give 5 stars is the service as it was a bit clunky
Best Italian anywhere since Milan
Very good fun - nice menu, prices fair, friendly staff . . . and lively!
Looked like a really good and interesting Italian restaurant. However, none of the dishes had any real taste. The concept of dishes being delivered to the table when ready from the kitchen didnt really work, as a traditional menu of antipaste, primi and secondi got mixed too much. All in all a bad experience.
Muy buena comida italiana servida en platos de tamaño medio, ideal para compartir.
Delightfully good. Been down this street many times, but never had a bite here until recently. Will definitely return on our next visit to central London.
While the food was pretty decent, the service left a lot to be desired for. Our server was extremely arrogant and from the beginning his tone was really annoying. Plus we asked for our dessert 4 times and it was just an ice cream. Eventually we decided to leave without having the dessert. We complained to the manager who was apologetic. I have been to the Piccadilly branch and have always enjoyed the experience. Won’t be going back to the covent garden branch.
Also the place was packed to the max and tables were extremely close to each other which was pretty uncomfortable.
Attentive staff, wonderful food, great ambiance. Hard to fault this Covent Garden Italian. The “tapas style” plates were numerous in choice. The lamb cutlets were my favourite, perfectly cooked.
If I had to make one criticism it would be the stairs area to the restrooms, it needs a a bit of TLC.
Always very busy, great atmosphere with fantastic food that never disappoints
Great fun meal, with such an extensive menu. Have been once before and really handy for the theatres.
The restaurant was busy when we arrived. The tables were a bit cramped together. The service was quite slow.
The food however was really good. I would recommend it for the food, not quite sure about the service.
